Well that complicates that plan. Ok, I am planning a cross over fan fic series, crossing most Gundam universe over. But I ditched most of teh characters because I find it hard to use franchise characters unless they are truly needed for a series plot (Hypcritical ephinay right there). Anyway iwas curious if you wanted to make a charcter. Ansem and Love both have characters and I can send you any info and history you need (Though you might be reading the history for awhile). If you want that is.

How familair are you with Gundam?

I see. I have plenty of ps1 games, however the free mcboot already allows you to play burnt games lol. That, as well as the swap magic I have. What I was looking to do is avoid burning and just run off of a USB. I do have discs, but they are too small.

So from the looks of the research I need to burn the disc, no if and or buts?

Sadly no luck, it still says "This file isn't an ELF."

Am I maybe using the wrong loader?

And they say that for the free mcboot? Odd. Whenever I try to load them with the UlaunchELF a message at the top left corner says "File is not a .ELF..."

Well, my journey of homebrew has been going on for a few a little while now. The first thing I did to it was take it apart my ps2 and block all the sensors with electrical tape. Blocking all the sensors allows the disc to spin while the lid is open. Afterwards, I bought swap magic to be able to run a free mcboot installer:

Using swap magic I was able to run the disc and install the program. From various youtube videos I have watched I saw that you could use free mcboot to load things off of a USB using a simple media app for things like movies, music, pictures, etc. There was also a UlaunchELF option. I figured maybe I could use one of the apps to launch an ISO.

Unfortunately it doesn't read ISO files. It can only boot .ELF files (Tried to see if I could just change the file extension, it just became gamename.ELF.ISO). So after a day of playing with it, I gave up with trying to load plain ISO files and attempting to convert my ISO files to ELF files. As of this morning I came up with the idea to mount it to a virtual drive.

Using daemon tools I was able to create a drive and mount the image. However it doesn't give me the option to install it on a particular drive, it just shows up on my computer. I can create a shortcut to the virtual drive on a USB, but a shortcut does not a mounted drive make. I asked Wheel of time if he knew how to mount a drive to a USB, and he had no clue. So then I came to you figuring you may know a thing or two on the subject.

The version of free mcboot I use is 1.8, and I use swap magic 3.8 for DVD's, and 3.8 for CD's.

I am currently working with my playstation. I have modded it and I am playing around with home brew things, but I have run into a problem. I cannot seem to load any ISO backups I have, and I don't have a disc large enough for burning.

Would it be possible to mount a disk image to a USB? I am able to crate virtual drives and mount them on my computer, but they show up as actual drives and cant exactly be copied and pasted to a USB. Would you be able to help?
