Yeah, I love that Silent Hill 1-4 don't explicitly tell you what to do. Where games these days will be all "PRESS A TO SAVE THE WORLD", Silent Hill's more like "FIGURE IT OUT ***** I AIN'T YO MOMMA"

But anyway, check through every room. You probably missed a few important scenes. Just sayin'. Hard to help without spoiling too much.

Silent Hill is a game that demands observance and attention, unlike just about every other series I've played. You literally cannot skim past areas: you have to pay attention to James looking at certain objects (he turns his head, as if to say "HEY LOOK SOMETHING COOL").

Check your map for rooms that don't have squiggly lines over the doors. Those are the ones you need to check.

Funny thing about the story in the garbage bin, it references a major character in one of the later games (before Origins, Homecoming, Shattered Memories, Downpour, and any further crapholes)
