When you get your hands on one, photoshop is your friend, because you can install a plugin for textures and such.

Depends on how you mean make a character. Something that alot of people overlook is that Unity is a game engine. Unity is not designed to create models. You can however turn a sphere into a character to walk around until you make your own character. You need to use external software to create characters. A free one to use is Blender. However you don't seem to be cheap, so you can probably get your hands on one for about $100 or so.

The beginning of the tutorial shows you how to give character commands to a shape, or any object really.

Try Yeasayer. Its got an odd futuristic sound, its interesting. You'll either love it or hate it, but I'm interested to hear what you think

lol I am afraid you need some knowhow as well. The language you see used in the tutorial is Java. You can also use Cscript and a few others :D

lol Well, you need some scripting knowledge to start off. Just some basic stuff, you shouldn't have to go too complicated. Just follow the playlist I sent you, that's a GREAT start. I also sent you the island demo so you could follow along. Their downloads don't work anymore sadly, but all the information is still golden :)

I like to hear the bass, it gives off a sweet vine that makes me tingle. But you can't let it get too heavy or it hurts my ears. And guitar solos can be awesome, but to tell the truth, I think I prefer the bass. If that helps
