Well, you're right about not taking a person from one time to another, but it can rip time apart as it did in Generations. What the Time Eater did was literally erase EVERY moment of time except the moments played in the game. Of course I'm not going to do anything like that in CC (At least not yet anyway B3), I'm just pointing it out.
