Believe it or not, SA2 was the one Sonic game I've never played all the way through. But if that's the case, then I guess Sonic shouldn't be so hesitant to trust him...Alright, he'll stay.

Well, Sonic, being the heroic type that he is, tries to stop Eggman from using the Time Eater to go back in time, as he doesn't believe he's going to use it to help anyone (Which he actually is going to use it to help). After Eggman attempts to explain, Sonic doesn't listen. This pisses Eggman off, which is then followed by Eggman using the Time Eater to open a Time Portal to the past, specifically 20 years in the past where his younger self resides. From that point, Sonic is removed from the arc until him, Classic Sonic and Classic Eggman join in the next arc. I'm not sure if that would work, seeing as there is the possibility of Sonic and Reinforce needing to unison again since, like you said, they have a relatively high unison rate (I think that's what it's called...). It may happen, then again it may not.

Yeah, which really isn't what they should be doing. I never skim posts, it's kinda rude to do so and you end up missing something that's important. I'll give it a little longer and if nobody says anything about it, I'll go ahead and initiate Operation: Go Back In Time and Get All The Stuff That Failed Before Only For it To Fail Again. Or G.B.I.T.G.A.T.S.T.F.B.O.F.I.T.F.A.

Also, I think I have a way to bring in Classic Sonic and Classic Eggman in the next arc in a way that makes sense, though it requires removing Sonic for the rest of the current arc...Not sure if that's a good idea.

Also if nobody needs anything from the past, I'm going to have Eggman go back to the Death Egg momentarily to equip the Time Eater with the necessary robotic parts so it can be controlled. So when he does leave, know that he is returning.
