...To be honest, if things aare as bad for him as you say, he may not have a choice but to join the military and he may have other reasons for wanting the airforce. I, um...god I hate saying this, but It may be this won't work out for you. He may realize he won't be able to see you and he's probably not wanting you to be chained to someone you'll never be with. He may be doing this for you. You may not see it that way right now, but I'm thinking that may be the case.

I hope to at least comfort you in these hard times. In the very least just be here when you need it.

I'm very sorry to hear that... I didn't think things were so very bad for him. But it's his choice int the end. It's not always easy to find work.
Not to be messed up, but if he really needs it, you have to let him go. It's not like he's going to be gone forever. My friend is in the air force and she's doing very well for herself.
That or he can just let his brother live on his own and stop being a freeloader. I really don't know what to say really.

What happened to him going to college and what not?

...Tell him to join the National Guard. They don't go over seas and they still get all of the benefits...and tell him that breaking up with you would hurt you more than worrying about him being in the Guard.

Airforce is part of the military. Now, its actually the safest branch due to most of it not being in combat zones. My dad is ex-airforce and was in intelligence.

ah...sorry to hear that. Well, ah...Look Shan, I'm betting he wouldn't be willing to join unless it was his only option, and I can understand having nowhere else to turn. If not for my own mother being willing to let me stay at home, I'd likely be in the same situation. My dad and I do talk, but I'd be against living with him, would't work well. Why are you against him joining?
