I'm not going to make jokes about KHV being the new Facebook because I'm sure that was already a thing but damn. Apr 22, 2013

Oh that sounds great! Hard but might be fun in the end. Do you have any minors or are you just going to go with the major?

      I need to see my other options. ; ;

Ah I see. I've always been more about brute strength myself. I picked the sword in KH and I always tend to use my sword, axe and lance wielding characters instead of my Spellcasters in FE and other RPGs. I do still use magic characters sometimes though. Sometimes the stuff they do is pretty cool. And the Rex Spells own. I can't deny that. (In case you didn't know you can acquire those by tricking the enemy into unequipping their tome and then having a thief character steal them.) It works in Path of Radiance anyway.

      1. Lol yeah that place is full of noobs and scrubs. And I thought I was sucky...I've seen people on there who are so bad I could've gotten a better challenge from just dueling against videogame AI...(Yeah I'm serious)

      2. Besides the Myrmidons and Swordmasters I also like the Cavaliers/Paladins. It's fun to watch them fight. What do you like about the Sages/Archsages? Haven't gotten very far in Radiant Dawn so I don't know what they're like yet.

Go ahead and think what you want but I'm not lying. If I were dishonest I wouldn't have just admitted that the Wind-Ups guy was using a deck with more than 40 cards.

I'll just start a more pleasant subject now and we'll get back to the friendly convo we were having earlier:

What are your favorite units in the Fire Emblem series? Mine would have to be the Myrmidons and Swordmasters. Definitely. Not only are they good at dodging and doing criticals but their attack animations are just so frigging epic and fun to watch.

Was just asking an innocent question...Wasn't trying to argue with you about E-Heroes being good...

Just seems like you're pretty hard to impress...I mean I thought you would at least be a little bit impressed that I beat Karakuris awhile back with Gate Heroes...And I also beat Inzektors and Wind-Ups...And I was playing against real people who are not AIs too...(The Wind-Ups guy was using a deck with more than 40 cards though)
    12. Hitokiri Shinigami Shinta
      Hitokiri Shinigami Shinta
So let me get this straight, You're saying that you would not be impressed no matter what kind of player I beat with an E-Hero Deck even if they were a GOOD player?

      ----------
Top at locals. Don't even win, just get in the top 4, and I will be impressed.
      ----------
If I ever start playing this game again and can enter a tournament I will try. Problem is I don't have any locals where I live.

      ----------
If every good card is up on the list the game isn't going to be fun. The presence of strong decks and the need to deal with them is what makes this game interesting.
      ----------
      Oh I see.

      ----------
Anyone who puts any more than two important monsters on the field when the opponent hasn't used their dark hole yet is a moron who deserves whatever happens to him.
      ----------
Lol wow. But we've also got the fact that Torrential Tribute is now at 2. That could easily cause alot of problems. And there's plenty of other 1 card table-turners like Monster Reborn.

Why should you believe that it is there whether you are aware of it or not? I draw on our previous discussion (I think we went over it)—you are as yet unaware of billions of other senses you could have. To you, the universe is limited to those five. Do you believe that the universe exists in senses other than the ones you have? Why or why not?

Do unicorns exist because I have a concept of them in the same way that light exists because others say so even if I have no sight?

Every measurement of the universe is also a measure of the instrument that you take your reading with. For instance, while I may not be able to sense radiation, a Geiger counter can, and while I cannot see individual cells, a microscope can. If you ignore the principle that every measurement of the universe is also a measurement of the instrument, then we would still be stuck with the original microscope draft. When you look at something with a microscope, you learn as much about what the microscope as the thing you are observing. The same is true of the eye and any other senses; that is why we have measurements for the accuracy of eyesight. If one's eyes do not work at all, then one does not even have a concept of eyes unless they are explained by another. To a blind man, the universe consists only of sounds and physical objects. To a deaf man, visuals. And so on. In order for an aspect of the universe to exist to you, you must have a sense for it. If you must have a sense in order for that aspect of the universe to affect you in any way, then by all rights the universe and your senses are the same thing.

If one does not have a sense, then that aspect of the universe functionally does not exist. If no one else existed to explain the concepts, then they would not even exist in theory. If there were no eyes, then the world would have no visual aspect. If there were no ears, then there would be no sound. The reason why we cannot imagine any other senses is because no one has them; we assume that the world exists only in five senses because that is all we have. That proves my point.

Because the universe has a direct and inseparable relationship with the instrument used to observe it, I present the following position:

An individual and the universe they see are one and the same.

Human beings call themselves self-aware, and yet would they cannot be self-aware by definition; an eye cannot view itself, and nor can a mind. If a mind is separate from reality, then it is forever locked in a position such that the only thing it cannot observe is itself. Even if an eye could see in every direction from its center, it would only be able to view itself through the images it sees.

Borrowing from the last sentence: again we have the instrument-object relationship. When an eye looks at a picture, you could instead say that the picture is an expression of the eye that is viewing it. From your perspective, you need sight in order for the picture to exist. From the picture's perspective, it needs you to have sight in order to exist. This duality allows one to break an assumption that most people make: that the eye sees things other than itself. If you require sight for pictures, and pictures require sight in turn, then aren't they functionally the same thing?

If you have sight, then you have a picture. If you have a picture, then you have sight. This is axiomatic as far as I know.

If sight = picture and picture = sight, then couldn't you say that when you look at a picture, you are also looking at a representation of the eye?

Think about the mind as the base sense, the core that would exist regardless of the others, and you should have realized my meaning. If you must have light in order to have shadow, then your mind is the light and the universe is the shadow. Take away the light, and shadow disappears. A lot like how a closed time-loop (self-causing loop; I go back in time and cause my own birth) functionally does not exist.

It is impossible to separate the universe from yourself. If all senses were to disappear, the universe would not be tied to anything and so would not exist. You are the universe and the universe is you. This logic stands independent no matter what the universe one sees consists of.

Given this realization, I do not see much point in clinging an explanation. Any explanation will be an expression of yourself anyway. Why are you bothering with things external when you have no logic supporting that they are external in the first place?

No there's nothing wrong with that, but you need to stop trying to impress me. If you weren't trying to impress me you wouldn't have mentioned that you beat a "Chamption Karakuri player".
      ----------
This guy was no weak Duelist I assure you. I've heard about the reputation he has. He kills people really fast and he did beat a guy who won a DN Tournament. I honestly think my win against him was just a fluke.

But yeah you got me there I really am curious to know just what exactly I DO have to do in order to impress you cuz it seems like nothing I do works...

      ----------
      It's called balance.
      ----------
And how exactly is moving gamebreakers down on the list balancing it? I don't get it at all...They're doing right by moving them up but they should be moving them up without moving others down...

      ----------
I disagree completely. It'll be easier for bad players to inconvenience good players sure, but not to win.

I don't believe Mirror Force will ever budge from it's current position
      ----------
But a bad player could easily turn the game in their favor against a good player with Dark Hole. I've done that before. 2 times I won against someone on DN who was a much better player than me when they were just about to kill me. They had 4-5 Synchros on their field but I won all thanks to Dark Hole.

Wow you must really be tired of hearing me talk about E-Heroes huh? You must really hate them...I wasn't even trying to convince you they were good just then...I was just stating the outcome of a Duel I had with them and saying I think we could have an interesting Duel with them since I've started running Gate Heroes...There's nothing wrong with my doing that is there?

But anyway, This is a pretty insane format. Have you ever noticed how whenever Konami does something right by moving certain gamebreakers up on the list they just move other ones down each time? That's pretty ******ed if you ask me...I can see why people are quitting this game. It just isn't what it used to be...I mean it's gonna be pretty easy for bad players to beat good players with Torrential Tribute now at 2 and Dark Hole still being at 1. This is ridiculous...Are they gonna move Mirror Force down on the list next?

That's what I mean. You feel a need for faith. You will even assume something you do not fully understand (Christianity) just to be able to feel like you know. That dependence is what I mean. It is impossible to understand the universe without first understanding the self that experiences it. You will not find your truth unless you let go of your attachment to it.

Consider this question: what the universe be to someone who was born without any senses? You have heard of people being blind and deaf, having no feeling and no taste or smell, but what of someone who is born without any knowledge of the world outside of their own head? What if you are that person? Does the physical universe still exist? Why should I believe so if so?

Sorry for the incoherence. I am not thinking well today.

That's exactly my point; you think that you need a belief. You didn't go searching for reasons not to believe, you searched the other beliefs. You are assuming that you need one by default. I believe that you will grow out of this with time.

It leads you towards questioning. When you ask one question and become forced to amend your previous view based on the answer, you begin to wonder about other questions. You keep asking them, and your view keeps changing. Eventually what you end up with starts looking like a fringe view and you question the point in holding the view itself. Faith in one view and considering that that view may be wrong are directly contradictory, so they are indeed mutually exclusive.
    19. Makaze
      Makaze
I believe you are dependent on faith itself more than your specific faith. You have probably edited your 'faith' to fit evidence over the course of your life, so that is not the question. Rather, you are dependent on some overveeing objective truth, something to fall back on other than yourself. I was the same way once, and I didn't see it at the time, but I am fairly certain that you are the same way.

I mean that at the rate you are progressing due to considering other arguments, you will eventually realize that everything is baseless anyway and become independent of faith in any concept, let alone a fairy tail-like deity. You will soon decide to develop your morality and ethics from the ground up instead of reading it in a book or hearing it in a church, school or other institution.

This game has become so boring to me...All anybody ever plays anymore is just Inzektors, Wind-Ups, Rescue Rabbit, Stall or Burn...

Maybe I just suck but 99% of the time I never see how to beat somebody that fast. That Duel I had with this champion Karakuri player only lasted 3 turns though. I end up OTKing him with my Gate Heroes deck. Was really exciting. I can't help but wonder how well I'd fare against you with this deck.
