Back in the 1980s, it was blacks, and now it's homosexuals.

I got into a debate / argument yesterday on Facebook. There's this whole "Cutest Couple" contest thing going around, and a recent one was on a gay couple, and someone said that being homosexual was a sin and mental disorder and needed to be treated.

I won't post the others' comments for privacy reasons, but here are the comments that I posted (it should still make enough sense, even without their replies to me, but if you'd like to know, let me know, and I can PM you):

Arguing with you is pointless, then, since you're so determined about it. Think about what you're saying. If it were the other way around, where gays were the what you call the normal people and straights the oddballs, and gays said that being straight was a sin or disorder, you wouldn't like it, would you? Well, gays don't like to be put down by straights. Also, because a lot of people don't have a problem with it anymore, some states have already allowed gay marriage, with others following. It's fine that you dislike the style, but don't hate the people for simply living their life how they want to. Straights can live their lives how they want to, so gays can, too.
