Honestly; I'm with you there. I managed to get myself trapped in a place I was way underleveled for, had to just settle for videos of everything after that.
XIII-2 though, I took down the final boss in less than 10 minutes. 5 star'd it first try. Of course, by that point I'd taken out a Long Gui and Yomi, both of which provide MASSIVE exp.

If you're not bothered about spoilers, you could watch this video. It shows the first form. Final Boss 3 is Orphan's true form, and it can amusingly be killed with an instant death spell despite having over 3 million health.

Say hello to Barthandelus's replacement, once he's killed. As in; immediate replacement. It's a relay boss; you fight Barthandelus, then some messed-up hybrid of Barthandelus and another fal'Cie, and finally that guy; Orphan.

Oh, for that; just use the laptop more frequently. As it gets used to loading/playing videos, that should sort itself.

Finished it the other day actually. The fighting isn't much different, but the particular battles you fight are more interesting, if that makes sense? There's the monsters too, which I think works pretty well. It's nice to be able to have so much variety in what your third party member is. The story is a lot more intense too, and the field gameplay is changed so there's more focus on exploration. It's less linear; more like a traditional Final Fantasy game.

Yeah, that's what he's from. Caius is the main antagonist of the game, and Lightning is the one that basically holds the line while you go through the game.

Match-up, more like. They're enemies from the first stage. It's actually an epic way to start the thing; since it's you playing as Lightning, who is riding Odin, against Chaos Bahamut, who chases you forever.
And then it's the same, but with you on the back of a different Bahamut. AERIAL DRAGON DOGFIGHT/CHASE SCENE.

I don't plan of having them all at the same time. Barthandelus, Starkiller, Berserker and a few others will end up being killed, while others I may drop after a while, like Lightning and Sazh, and Vivio.

Ah, thank you. I didn't like how people tended to put people on the opposite side than they should canonically have been. Vergil on Cosmos and Dante on Chaos worked though, since they represent order and freedom repspectively.

I made it... october? It died about a month or so ago. I've had two actually; one was original. I'm working on a different original RP now though, based on summoning etc.

If you threw in Fate instead of Eddie now, we could have a Levi vs Fate fight, which would be awesome. Especially since in the game, Fate gives Levi a lolipop afterwards and it's the cutest thing ever gah.
But yeah, sorry for that. You could have stuck around with them though, actually. I'd have had you taken along for the boss fight.
