To be honest I think we need more places besides Sky City and whatnot. That's why I had Sazh and Lightning in the desert.
If you really can't think of someplace new interesting, fair enough, throw them in... Japan, I guess, since things are slow there for now.

Well they can both fly (though Vivio needs to unison with Kris to do so), so they can pretty much be headed anywhere.
Also; it's worth noting that Vivio has a very young-sounding voice even in Adult mode. Just sayin'.

Naw, not quite that. He's insane because of the way things went when he was created; the higher-ups of the TSAB created him purely so they'd have a genius on their side, and they planned to use him as a tool. He escaped, as anyone would try to, and then the TSAB labeled him a wanted criminal for it. He basically figured that if the universe thought he was a villain, he might as well have fun and act like one.

And yeah; Jail's a villain... except he's also completely justified. And to his ten daughters he's actually the nicest guy ever, and does anything for them. He's very selfish, but he's also extremely intelligent. If the Empire was invading, he'd help to stop them no question.

I wonder; did you want to introduce Iron-man alongside Vivio? Having them already teamed up would probably make it easier to find somewhere for them.
I still need to find a fun way to introduce Jail though. But oh god, when I do it's going to be spectacular. Jail is the largest ham ever.

Actually the backstory had Aeon Calcos as his name since the very begining. They called him Lizardman in-game because, hey, it's not like he could tell anyone his name, right? It was just in the backstory before.
And it's less overhauling him into a badass so much as bringing him up to the standards of the rest of the cast. Of coure, then we got Patroklos as the main character, which undermined the whole concept...

I don't really like fighters. Soul Calibur is exception to that. I'm more of an RPG or Hack-and-slash gamer. That's why I loved Phantasy Star Universe so much; it was both of those in one.

Yes, that is true. The reasoning being that until SCV Lizardman was used as comic relief. How better to change that than starting with his fighting style? They called him by his original name, gave him a much more formidable fighting style, and made his all-round more vicious. They even gave him more backstory. They were determined to make the change.

Hm... perhaps it was NA and Pal then. Ah well.
I do know that you couldn't play as Lizardmen (it wasn't the same guy as was in 3, 4, 5. Each costume was a different individual.), Assassin, or Berserker outside of the various versus/practice modes.

Haha, that shows the difference between us in childhood; I loved Nightmare for his creepiness. I would often play in his second outfit; Siegfried with the demonic arm, just because you could see it wasn't just part of his armour.
I used the full version of Soul Edge with him; the one that had eyes all over it. Looked terrible as a weapon, I'll admit, but it was terrifying, and I adored it.
I love that they went back to SCII's design of Nightmare for SCV. He was the best Nightmare.

It was the first Soul Calibur I ever played, back when I couldn't play fighting games for sh!t. Link was brokenly good in that game, and sticking him with his Soul Edge made him all the worse for it. That rolling throw, oh god I had fun with it.
Nightmare looked his best there too. Gives me shivers every time.
