How ever, if I do go in solder and screw driver in hand, is there a difference beetween a ps2 and a ps2 slim?

Well for the most part, regions are indeed my problem. I can use an emulator, but doesnt run as cleanly as I would like. So why I want freemcboot is so I can throw anything in the ps2 (within reason that is) and make it play. With freemcboot I could play a burnt disc, an imported disc, ISO, whatever. I want the programming that makes it work because I dont want to take apart my ps2 and break it. If I had a spare one I would do it in a heart beat.

Are you talking about coding for the adapter or coding to get mcboot on my ps2?

Well, I installed software I found online. My computer no longer asks me to install software for it. However I cant see it on my computer. So I don't have anything to compress. And you have acton replay and freemcboot on a card?

I dont need the part, but I do need the knowhow on how to use it for a pourpose other than intended. I found a PS3 memery card adapter for PS1/PS2 cards. I bought it becase it has a USB end. My thought was that I could connect ti to my computer and drag and drop into it. See, I dont have an action replay to be able to access files on a USB. What I am trying to do is install Free Mc Boot onto my memery card. In theroy it can work, but I need to find the proper software to install. I seemed to have found some software. The adapter is recognised, but not the card in the adapter -.- I was wondering if you had any knowladge on the subject.

I realise you said antivirus, I was double checking lol.
I knew it was posible, but I didnt think people would really have reason to lol.
Then agian, I don't think viruses have a reason at all besides to cause trouble.

I didnt know that the ps3 had antivirus lol.

lol I dont use norton because it identifies files as viruses just because not everybody has them XD Chalk up another reason not to touch it lol.
I use AVG. Works great :D

Yup. Woking on riping things from games to build a new game entirely, attempting patching (kinda failing XD), in a few days I will attempt to put homebrew stuff on my ps2, in about a week or so i will be dameling in the world of NDS roms, backing up DS games, stuff like that, getting a screen recorder on my psp, techy stuff lol. So i guess kinda big, but thats just how I roll lol.
Whats got you concerned?
