Still here every day, just not a lot to say in response to people's posts lately. Feb 13, 2019

      WOO! :D
Meh, going to church doesn't make you a good christian, and not going to church doesn't make you a bad one. It's really all about how you live when you aren't there, the purpose of church is to have a place and time for christians to get together and try to figure things out.
Ooh, castle cake? I don't think I've ever had that. Is it good?

Aw, I'm sorry, I hope you feel better soon. :(
lol, I'm doing good, all things considered. Yesterday I was sick most of the day. But I got to lie around and watch A-Team all day, so that was nice. And then today we had a really busy day at church, and I couldn't sleep very well last night, so I'm pretty tired. But I'm good now, eating chocolates my dad bought me and watching my favorite episode of the A-Team in the background, so all's good. :)

      Heh, sorry for rambling. XD

Oh, you don't see the fire, they just show Light writing it and then them finding the burnt out building. And I'm not saying Light actually loved Takada. In fact, that was the point I was trying to make. Light had dated Takada before he went mad with power, so he at least liked her at that time. Now, he just used her. I was saying that he had no love for anyone, so it would be unlikely for him to save a human by writing the name of their killer in his Death Note. I know he didn't really care for Takada and L.
I also agree that Ryuk wasn't favouring Light, he was just pretty much saying "You're interesting," but that wasn't the point I was trying to make. I was showing that in the manga, they say there is no heaven or hell. I know that it's a fan translation, but still, the author had to have written a part of that speech, because why else would he draw Light remember it while he's dying?

Anyway, how ya doing lately? It's been too long since we really talked.

You still going to do the light powering up thing once Dearche gets the book?

Ah, I see. Maybe the anime is different from the manga. In the manga, After Ryuk writes Light's name in the book, Light, now desperately repeting "I don't wanna die" recollects the entire conversation between himself and Ryuk way back in the beginning, when Ryuk tells Light "And don't think that a human who's used the Death Note can go to Heaven or Hell. You'll find out about that after you die."
The first time you read it, back in the beginning, it stops there. However, now Light's remembering the whole speech. After Ryuk says that, Light responds with "Can't go to Heaven or Hell? I know that already. You mean there's no heaven or hell, right?" And Ryuk says "!" then he says "You really are an amazing guy. I thought all humans believed completely in Heaven and Hell. That's right. As you say, There's no Heaven or Hell. No matter what they do in life, those who die go to the same place. All humans are equal in death." Then, as Light, who is still remembering this, has a heart attack and dies, he remembers the last thing Ryuk said that day: "All humans are destined to die someday. The place where they go after death is Mu (nothingness)."
So in the manga, they say there is no Heaven or Hell.
And then, even if the Shinigami king is unlikable, he still is very powerful. You see that in the aternate ending. After winning against Near and the others, and living a full life as Kira, Light dies, and then Light wakes up with Ryuk in the Shinigami's world, and at first, thinks that he will become Shinigami. Suddenly, however, he has heart attack and dies. Then he wakes up again, and experiences a cement truck running over him and he dies. Then he wakes up and Asks Ryuk what's happening, and as he starts choking himself to death, Ryuk laughingly explains that to those who used the Death Note, they must experience all the deaths they caused others to go through before they can reach Nothingness. He explains that the Shinigami King is the only Shinigami who can write a human's name in the Death Note over and over again, so wherever he is, he's punishing Light for all the deaths he caused. He says that once Light dies as much as he's killed, he will dissappear from existence, memories, and records. Completely gone.
Light dies and then when he wakes up, he's laughing. Ryuk says "He's going crazy from the fear," and Light says "124,925." Ryuk says "Hmm?" and Light says "The number of people who I've killed so far. Experience all the deaths and dissappear, huh? Meaning, as long as I'm experiencing those deaths... I will exist." And Ryuk's like, "... Well... It's true." and then Light says "That will be more than enough time." And Ryuk says "Light, you... what're you thinking?" And Light says "I shall look for the King of the Shinigami, and make a deal with him. Instead of warranting my safety, I will lend him my intelligence. An amazing strategy to rebuild the Shinigami's rotten world." Ryuk says "I don't think that old fart would be interested in that." And Light says "Who do you think I am, Ryuk? I'm a guy, who became the God of the human world. I'll just wheedle him. I can even kill the king if needed. Human vs. Shinigami... a battle for the summit. I'm not done yet. I'll amaze you even more, Ryuk." And then Ryuk thinks "Youre the best after all. Amazing, indeed!" And Light says "Let's go, Ryuk. I'll show you the genesis of the new world once again."
So even though the king isn't well liked, he's still very powerful, and Light plans to replace him and become God of the Shinigami world. As for him still being unable to rule as Kira, because he might inadvertanty save someone by killing someone else, in the manga, that's not how it would happen. In the manga, a Shinigami only dies if they killed with the intent of saving a human, if saving someone is a side-affect rather than the goal, it wouldn't work. Also, it becomes apparent as time goes on that throughout the manga, Light loses all love for any human, and his sole purpose is to bring about his world. He has no qualms about killing the agents at the beginning, he is pleased with the death of Ryuzaki, whom he proffessed to be a friend, he always intended to kill Misa eventually, he even felt little to no grief when his father died. In the manga, as his father lay dying, he thought over what the best time to attempt to get his father to write Mello's name would be, even thinking "If I ask too soon, the others will become suspicious." and finally at the right time, he's like "Now would be the best moment, I can make it look like I'm desperate for him to not die in vain." Even with his own father, he was more concerned with his agenda then he was about the man. He proffessed to love Takada, then wrote for her to commit suicide by burning herself alive when it was convenient for him. He wanted Mikami to write the names of all who opposed him, even his own agents, whom he'd been in close contact with for the entirety of the series. He showed that he had little to no feelings for any human, therefore, he is not the type to save one by writing their name in his Death Note.

So yeah, maybe the anime's different. I saw a few episodes of the anime. I spotted a whole lot of little differences in plot, so maybe the themes are different too. I really wouldn't know, without watching all of them, but I don't see a need to do that.

Good deal. I've had a bunch of dramatic music I've wanted to make AMVs with, but usually there isn't a real use. I've got some great ideas do use.

Alright thanks, much appreciated. It's just a short thing I'm throwing together so it won't have everyone's characters, just the ones I can find on short notice. I just wanted to try and include Dearche, Stern, and Levi because they've been your staple characters.
So far I've got Scar, Marluxia, Grell, Sebastian, Ciel, Yoda, Ansem, Sora, Xion, Xemnas, Xehanort, Vanitas, Darth Vader, Saix, Sephiroth, and Roxas. Now add your three girls, I need to get Wesker, Deadpool, the Joker, and Fang. Is there anyone else of importance I'm missing?(Aside from Doctor Who, who I'm not experienced at all with, so you or cat would have to give a me a clip to work with.)

Hey do you know of any good HQ video of the characters you're using in the RP? Like linking me to youtube video or whatever.
I'm making an AMV for crossover cove and trying to use as many of the characters we've included in it, your characters are pretty important so it be nice to include them(I just don't know where to look for video.)

Yes, but there is also the agenda that God, the real God, doesn't have the right either. They've said again and again, "No one has the right to judge," and they very subtlely included God in that statement. And in the later issues, when Light confesses to Near that he is Kira, he says that he was "Well aware that killing people is a crime in itself, yet at that point, it was the only way to make things right." To which, Near responds by saying that Light was no more than "a crazy mass murderer."
A very popular argument against christianity is that God does not have the right to judge people. When he does so, it is wrong. Just look at the story of Noah and the Flood. God saw that the whole world was so evil that there was no good to be found anywhere, except for in one man, Noah. So he flooded the whole earth, saving Noah and his family, to start over. You know what I've heard about that story? "God got sick of people and invented genocide." So even when God does it, it's wrong.
Then Near makes this little speech: "What is right from wrong? What is good from evil? Nobody can truly distinguish between them, even if there is a god. Now, supposing that a God and his word existed, even then I'd stop and think for myself. I'd decide for myself wether his teachings are right or wrong." He says that even if God existed, he doesn't have any right to judge what is right or wrong, right and wrong should be left up to the individual. He continues. "After all, I'm just the same as you. I put faith in my own convictions as to what I bellieve is right, and consider them to be righteous. You are most certainly no "god" for one, and having you tell people how to live their lives- and having them live accordingly- is neither peace nor justice as far as I'm concerned. Calling yourself God and killing people indiscriminately is definitely evil in my book." So now he says that it is wrong for God to try and tell people how they should live their lives. Not very christian at all.
And yeah, I saw that alternate ending. Again, it just goes to show that it is not very christian at all. There is no heaven, there is no hell. And Light Yagami continues to evolve, planning to become not only God of the New World, but God of the Shinigami as well. Once he's God of the Shinigami, none can stop him, and he will be unkillable, and can continue his righteous judgements on mankind without fear of being captured by those who dissagree. Again, not very Christian at all. Humans cannot surpass God, nor can they surpass angels. And that whole "There is no heaven or Hell" is also not very Christian at all. So, the closest thing to a christian theme in that series was that humans cannot become God, but Light Yagami was well on his way to doing just that by aiming to become King of the Shinigami.

Like I said, not very Christian at all.

Anyway, I gotta go. I'mlate for something. TTYL!

I really liked it. I wish that more people survived the series, though. I mean, Mello's really cool, and Matt was pretty cool, and of course, the first L was pretty cool. I liked how Matsuda had such a big part in bringing Kira down, even though I saw it coming.
One thing, however, I didn't find any christian themes in the series, in fact, I spotted quite a bit of anti-christian agenda instead. But, I'd be pretty hard pressed to find any well-written story these days that didn't have anti-christian agenda, so I still like the series.

Yeah, I'm good. I finished reading Death Note last night and now I'm youtubing different Death Note cartoon parodies. I found a pretty funny Death Note/Invader Zim one. XD
