I may not be a Christian, but I grew up as one, and I know what it is to feel and speak to God. I felt closer to him the more I got away from what people told me how to think about things.

In Genesis 38, Judah says to Onan to have children with her, because that's his duty as a brother-in-law.

There are so many things in the Bible that are contradictory, and out right wrong. According to the Bible, you can sell your daughter as a slave. But just because it says so in the Bible, people still think of it as something bad now. Because the Bible speaks about another time.

Things were different back then. If you are to use the Bible to back up your argument, you will have to believe in the Bible and follow it, you can't just choose the things you like or have been taught to think are correct according to the Bible, which is the problem today, you know? I don't question the Christian faith, but I question the blind following of the Bible, as it is severely outdated.
