BUT if I DID have something to hide, you would probably never find it XD And if you did find it, you would have to be a math wiz to figure out what it is.

Okay, you remember what we were doing when I was trying to show you the hidden movie inside of windows? We were changing what is called a file extention.

The file extention affects how your computer reacts to a file. It knows to open .txt files in whatever the default .txt opener is. In most cases it is note pad. It knows to open .bat files with the command prompt. You computer knows to open .mps with a music player. It tells your computer what to do. You can change the default opener, but it doesn't always work.

When saving a file, you can change the file extention and make it something totaly different. You can save a picture as an mp3 if you wanted to. However some programs have trouble opening these edited files. mp3 is pretty easy though. You can use it to hide your files. This can be easily done in photoshop. However other programs should do.

However some programs have a set file output. Meaning you can change the file extention, but it wwill still be what it would be if you hadnt changed the extention. if you use a program like proshow, it will save it as -insert name-.psh. If you change it to -insert name here-.mp4, It wil come out as -insert name here-.mp4.psh. So it isn't totally universal.

Notepad is probably the easiest thing to use for this, the actual useage is just complicated. Any questions?
