Often I respond to things in a witty manner, bear that in mind. When in serious doubt, assume I am jesting. This is usually the case.

You said "Please try again." When you call someone via pay phone and the call has not been reached, the operator says that. Therefore, it was a subtle joke of hanging up the phone to call again.

I wonder what in God's name compels me to do this, but I have been contemplating on our relationship of "cut and thrust." (Take this as an innuendo if you so desire.)

I have wondered what urges me to even talk to you, but the fact of the matter is, you are a very interesting individual. One in which I unfortunately have neglected to get to know on "friendly terms."

Upon our conversation of labels, I realized I had labeled you due to the lack of getting to know you. And with all sincerity, I humbly apologize. I'd much rather not do that again.

So the point of what I am trying to make is this; I feel the need to start anew, get to know one another in an unbiased way. My hope is to ultimately see the results of friendship and trust.
