Yes...........and no. Yes: they do want a guy who is open to their feelings, and willing to communicate to them. No: they also want that boy to have a "bad boy" side to them, making work a little bit to get to those emotions. It puts excitement in the relationship.

I'll bet it will. And I wish I could go to NY again, but I would have to set it up with my dad or something. Humiliation sucks, but if you gat friends with you, it's much easier to laugh it off I think. And yes. I do love it when they put the giant tree up, or on news year. It's like the whole city is celebrating my birthday for me:)

And thank you. That's what I was told when the session was over. I'm just a more sensitive guy than most. That is also why more women see me more as a friend figure than anything.

Well, that is unfortunate. And from family experience, I know that changing one's view on a topic can be very difficult, if not impossible. Perhaps you can square a deal with her of not wearing them around her, but when you go out with friends you could wear them. That way you could show her you care about her opinion, and still be able to express yourself sometimes.

Hmm. I guess she just doesn't want to see her daughter be "gothic" or "emo".

To be honest, I can't blame her. I think if I had a son or daughter, I wouldn't want them to dress like that.

But I think my reasoning is due to the publicity and society's view of such people. Like, some think that goth or emo people are always depressed, hate themselves and the world. And that isn't a message I would want to send people, nor would I want my friends and/or possible future kids to send either. But who knows, I'm probably reading too much into it.
