I don't react that way. I don't feel pleasure from my actions, I have too much doubt in my actions to feel the pleasure. I may think that I feel better but I rarely do. I don't know why but I feel like I need to redeem myself because of something I've done. But I haven't done anything to need to redeem myself. It's strange but I don't really feel the pleasure from good acts.

That is what i dont like about hedonism, it will simply say everything we do, everything we are is for ourselves. There never seems to be pure selflessness, always something happens to gain something. Which I don't believe in, it may be a secondary by product but it is not the aim of us all.

I don't think that I do kind things for a reward, emotional or otherwise for a majority of the time. I'll admit by doing something good or bad to someone it will effect me, and I hope it's something positive but I generally help others so in turn they can learn to help others. Not enough people are kind enough to each other for the sake of it, it puts each other in a greater mood, leading us to feeling better, doing better, more likely meaning they themselves help others, increasing our positive feelings to things.

A stranger's kindness can make us feel better. We are reassured in humanity, in each other and our community. It is inspiring to think that people we've never met will willingly put their open palm out in assistance, instead of shoving the closed fist in our face. Do you not agree?

I know i'm just talking **** at this point. It was one train of thought, one of many though, I also think hedonism to be pure and right in ways, such as achieving what you desire and not second best. But again I dispute it for being slefish and ignorant of the world at some levels. But ignore the comment from before, I just can't settle on a lot of my thoughts at the moment, my life is a bit up in the air at the moment and it's distracting.

Ah, hedonists, what a boring and predictable philosophy. Pleasure over pain, usually involving food, sex, drugs, nightlife, etc. I believe there's more to the universe then simply fulfilling our own needs. I don't necessarily mean our lives, but the entirety of things is more then an individuals perspective. We are all connected by something greater then simply ourselves.

Be happy, take your chances when you believe it could work out properly. Or even if it couldn't. I've seen relationships that shouldn't work out for so long, but do and are as strong as ever. It's strange, romantic relationships aren't as easily put together as I thought they would be.

Well enjoy your relationship with her. I dont know what may seperate you, whether it be distance or commitment or something else I hope it all works out in the end. Whether it becomes more or not, just enjoy it.

I wouldn't have said that book was a great example of open ideas on sexuality, what with the continual murders and all, but each to their own I suppose. I act feminine when I wish, mainly in a gay context, for fun and amusement. If I was a gay, I guess it would be difficult to tell when I act like my usual self, and am not a stereotype of any group I can think of. But i'm open to ideas, usually.

I understand about the broke heart and what not. I dislike rejection so i've yet to initiate a relationship on my own accord, though I have felt the urge to try, the worry of rejection keeps my chances low.

I think the less I discuss my love life, or lack there of, the more self esteem I will keep. Otherwise, I'll pour out my woes like a drunk at happy hour.

If you want a male to express interest in you, there are certain groups you would need to hang around with in order to initiate the possibility of certain romanitc interest from said male attraction. It might involve watching Brokeback Mountian a few times though. The group I use to hang around with, until most all of them left for Uni, were a rather open lot...

I haven't read the comic, but I have never heard anything bad about it. I must read more comics, they have many great stories that I know of but have never read. Top Cow comics always have interesting and compelling stories that I must read. Maybe when I get a proper income.

I agree with that, smaller regions can generally have a better control over their society and not experience some of the problems that large countries encounter.

Still, It is an interesting thought to believe other people in charge of a country and what they would do in that position.
