Anywayz, I was wondering, why is KH1 rated E and KH2 is rated E 10+?

 

I'm not so sure either, but I'll just give my point of view now.
Kingdom Hearts 2 has Organization XIII, little kids can't take the awesomeness.

 

It's because of alcohol use in KH2 and some mild blood.

 

Who used the alcohol? I never noticed =O

 

Pirates of the Caribbean. Also, it shows mild violance, when Sora gets punched in the face.

 

Barbosa after they get Elizabeth. When he turns into the skeleton and drinks, just like in the movie.

Well, the other one was rated E because of violence too, so that's not why. It's the use of alcohol and blood in Port Royal, that's why KH2 is E10. Alcohol I already said was Barbosa, the blood is with the coins.

 

It's also because Sora gets punched in the face, and that encourages violance, does Sora get punched in the face in KH1? I think not XD

 

But Sora stabs himself in KH1, which is a lot worse.

 

Sora stabs himself and his heart is released. Meaning that he should be dead...this makes no sense what so ever of why KHI was rated E.

On a side note, there is more violence and Sora's fantasy world does take place at one point in KHII. The nobodies death was sort of violent as well and there was suicide.

 

Yeah, Pirates of the Caribbean was the reason why the age rating was up.

 

And, when Axel killed himself, which was more violent in the Japanese version although

 

ya that was the only flaw. KH2 was better because of some of the rough humor lol

 

I'm pretty sure it's because of the guns and alcohol in Port Royal. The deaths might also contribute to it as well, I'm not sure. But in general, KH2 was a little darker than KH.

 

Alcohol yes, but I don't think it's because of the guns. After all, Clayton in KH1 had a rifle. But going back to Port Royal, another reason could have been the blood on the medallions. Those are two of the reasons I can think of for the change.

The Japanese version is much more intense with Axel's death and in the American version Xigbar's gun sights were edited to be less like an actual gun and more like a toy.
