Hannah finally got to sleep once the sun began to rise.

Van Helsing and Edward rode the horse in silence for a while now.

They all aren't evil, the thought dawned on him suddenly. Some of them are normal, innocent people, but then they kill others and I must kill them... it's a neverending cycle... maybe this Edward is a stop to it, though. He's never killed an innocent person! I'd like to hear more about this...

"What do you do on full moons, Edward?" he asked now as they rode. The sun was starting to come up over the horizon, the sky a dull shade of pink.

"You know where you found us all tonight?" Edward replied. "I go out into the wilderness like that for a few days each month when the full moon is out. Most of the time I'm by myself. Anyone who comes with me tries to kill me, and I had to hide from them as well. It's been hard... for nineteen years. When I was younger people would put me in a cage or a jail... they would even try to murder me as well. That's why I figured I didn't want to be like them: killers. I'm better than that. You, though..." he trailed off.

"I know," Van Helsing said. "You needn't say another word about my profession and methods if it bothers you."

 

Hannah woke with a start after a nightmare about Henry. She sat up and wiped her brow. I'll never live this down....

 

OOC: i know its hot...

BIC: "I have tried to find Dracula before, but I never could. And I've heard rumours of you, and how youcouldn't even find him. So I lost hope. I have lived like this for nineteen years..."

"God pity Dracula if you find him, then," Van Helsing muttered.

"Amen," Edward spoke. "How far are we from that town or yours?"

"A few hours," he replied. "Listen, there are some girls there that you should know about..."

"Girls?" Edward said, excited and confused at the same time. "You know girls..."

"First of all, I knowplently, belive me. Second of all, yes. If you're with me and I might kill you I guess I can tell you about them..."

 

Hannah shut the window shades against the sun, and decided she may as well stay awake, so she went to changed and fix her hair.

OOC: i got bored

 

"What?" Edward asked. "Tell me."

"First there's Elizabeth," Van Helsing began. "She claims to have lived in this town for seven years, but she has an attitude about her that she won't talk about herself or her past. She's hiding something. And then there's Jinx... I loosened her up enough on the suspicion that she knew something about vampires... turns out she is one. But I haven't seen her kill anything, so I won't murder her... yet. I'm assuming that's what the message was about. Last I know Elizabeth is still there, but Jinx may have run off since both Lizzy and I saw her secret first-hand."

"Yikes," Edward replied after a moment. "Those are some women. Do you usually... you know...?"

"Find deathly vampires attractive?" Van Helsing smirked. "No."

 

Hannah positioned her hair over her neck and cautiously went outside. Her heart ached when she saw that people had already started the burial service for Henry. She pulled her hood up, both to block the sun and so that she wouldn't have to see Henry's family, and headed away from the service. Anywhere is better than here right now.

 

A few hours later, the town started to come into view.

"I see it," Edward said sleepily, shaking his head from where he sat behind Van Helsing. "What do you intend to do?"

"Well, this time I will get a room at the Inn, put up Lexi (the horse lol) and have a good drink with you. Then, after I'm sure the girls will come over and yell or talk to us, we can deal with vampire business."

"Vampire business," Edwards repeated. "Listen, 'the girls' sound nice and all... well, not really by their descriptions you gave me, but... is there anyone else interesting?"

"Edward, it's an ugly town in the middle of an empty country full of mean people and evil creatures..." the other man sighed. "You do you think?"

 

Jinx hasn't shown her face in a while... Hannah thought as she sat by the well, rubbing her head. I'll have to find out where she went; or if she left at all. She tried to think of other things instead of Henry. And that Van Helsing... looks like he's for good. Good thing for me.

OOC: wee!

Carl: Now, you won't turn into a werewolf until your first full moon. That's two days from now. So we have 48 hours to find a solution. But you'll still be able to fight Dracula's hold over you until the final stroke of midnight.
Van Helsing: Sounds like I have nothing to worry about.
Carl: Oh, my God, you should be terrified!
Van Helsing: Thank you.
Carl: Sorry.

 

As they rode into town, Van Helsing saw that the town centre was once again filled with people. He slowed Lexi to a stop and grimaced. A casket was being paraded through the town to the other side where the gaveyard was.

"What happened?" Edward asked. A passing villanger heard and gave Van Helsing a deathly glare. Edward cringed back.

"Vampire killed poor Henry in the middle of the night. You should have been here, you devil!"

As the villanger stromed off, Edward looked confused. "I don't understand. They want you to leave, but then when someone is killed they accuse you of it being your fault."

"That's only half of it," Van Helsing muttered, but his mind was elsewhere:

Did Jinx murder that man? If she did, I have no choice anymore... I saw the man's casket... she should be good as dead now...
