Van Helsing

Carl looked at Van Helsing, "I guess it doesn't matter to me. We've got two human and two vampires.. I think I'll end up being alittle freaked out with whomever I drive. But I suggest putting ms. Hannah and Edward together, just on a hunch that they don't want to be seperated." he laughed.

Jinx broke into a run and set herself into a hunting mode when she was clear of the people on the street. Her run became more cat like and silent, while her sences became more powerful. After a few moments of running in the forest she heard a deer. That will hold her over. she took off in it's direction and pounced on it. The shrill yell that came from the animal was silenced almost instantly as she bit hard into it's throat, killing it immediatly. She stood up over the corpse and wiped the blood from her mouth. "sorry dear." she muttered to it, slinging the body over her shoulder and casting a glamor over both of them so she looked normal and the deer looked like a potatoe sack.

 

Edward made a more serious face. "I'm sorry," he began suddenly. "I'm sorry you got hurt. I should have moved faster, made a quicker movement, sensed what he was about to do... then you'd be fine right now..."

 

"Alright," Van Helsing muttered. "Well, I will be guiding Sorin and Lexi from the driver's seat... maybe I can convince Jinx to ride there with me. What do you think?"

 

Carl couldn't help but laugh a little. "Me thinks you like the little vampire lady." he joked, quickly continuing before Van helsing could argue. "Sounds good. I think she's coming now actully. What's she got?"

Jinx jogged back to the stables. "Hey." she greeted them before going back into the inn and up to the room. She knocked first. "Room servise." she called.

 

"Never!" Van Helsing sighed with a loud laugh. "And she's got dinner, Carl. Honestly, can't you tell?" He laughed even harder when he saw the diguised sack of potatoes.

 

Carl shook his head. "Uh huh, bloody potatoes?" he asked, noticing a few splaters of blood on the ground.

"I've got something for Hannah to eat when she's ready." Jinx explained, setting the deer down carefully on the ground and letting the glamor fall off. "It's not what you normally eat, but you need something before you hurt someone." she said, simply, before turning to go back outside and leaving them alone again.

 

"Wonderful," Van Helsing grinned, having fun with Carl's horrified reactions. "Now all we need is the lovely lady her beast to get out here!"

 

Jinx walked out of the inn and over to the two. "Well, now Beatice and you guys should be a bit safer, assuming Hannah's not a finiky eater." she grinned at Carl who still looked half way between shocked and disgusted.

"W, was that a... a...." he stared at her, "human?"

Jinx rolled her eyes. "No stupid. It was a deer." she leaned on one of the carriges. "As if Rome needed another murder, honestly."

"oh..." Carl nodded, sheepishly. "Sorry."

 

Van Helsing roared with laughter once more. "Brilliant! She's a... hmm..." He searched for a word. "Ah!" he exclaimed. "A vegetarian vampiress! I really hope there are more people like her out there, don't you, Carl?"

 

Jinx laughed as well. "Don't we all? I think I might be converting Hannah, by the way." she added, happily.

Carl smiled, still sheepishly but not feeling so stupid. "that's good." he tried.

"Yep, the less man-eaters we have the better." Jinx grinned at him, showing her teeth again. he smiled back and she could tell he wasn't afraid of her anymore.

 

Hannah tried to smile. "It's not your fault. I shouldn't have stopped you in the first place." Her stomach knotted when Jinx came in with the deer. "That's utterly disgusting...."

 

"Those two and Beatrice better come down soon," Van Helsing said, still smiling, looking at the sun now beginning to fade in the afternoon sky. "We should start getting ready to go soon."

 

Edward shook his head. "I know, but I still feel like I could have done more. Van Helsing," he added, laughing, "made me get rid of the body. Anyway, you should eat something, no matter how bad it may seem. Or... I could go find something more your... taste, shall we say?"

 

"Yeah, I think Edward was waking Hannah up. They shouldn't be too long, i should think." Jinx smiled. "So, what can we do to get ready to go? Is there anything we need to put in the carrages?"

Carl shook his head. "I've got everything I need in there aleady. You have anything that's not on your person that we'll be needing?"

"Aren't twenty guns enough, could he really have anything else to carry?" Jinx teased him, smirking.

 

Hannah gave Edward a disapproving look. "I've learned my lesson." Her eyes flickered to the deer and she bit her tongue.

 

"Hey," Van Helsing smirked. "One of those twenty might save your abnormally live life, so don't you dare laugh about it! And yes, Carl has all we need. If we find he doesn't later then we can yell at him."

 

"Well, then, I won't look," Edward said, giving up with her apetite. "Actually, I'll skip into the bathroom if you're feeling strong enough to eat. There is a nice amount of surprisingly running water in this nasty old inn, and I'll take advantage of that."

 

Jinx waved a hand without care at his statement. "Yeah yeah, like a gun would save me from something that wanted to kill me." she laughed. "i'm just kidding." she added as an afterthought, seeing Van Helsing's defensive expression.

Carl smiled at them, seeing what they probably didn't. "Uh huh. Yell at me for forgetting one tiny thing while everything I do bring saves your ass." he laughed.

 

"Maybe we tease you too much, Carl," Van Helsing began, trying to sound serious despite the chuckle in his voice. "You are beginning to take me too seriously!"

 

"Naw, I know your kidding. I'm just making sure the lady here knows your are." Carl grinned at her and she gave hiim a sarcastic curtsy.

"Ah, when did I become a 'lady'?" Jinx asked, making a face at the word. "Lady's don't have a sence of humar and fall into the 'damsel in distress' category. How boring." she breathed poutly at them, smiling out of the corner of her mouth.
