Hannah pulled away from Henry, rubbing the side of her mouth. When she got ahold of herself, she cursed herself for what she'd done. I lost control... She thought, standing and moving away from the couch. He... he never did anything to harm me and now I've... He was innocent... She touched the tip of one of her fangs with her index finger. "Oh God... I'm a monster."

 

OOC: lol yes, henry is a LOSER!!!

OOC: i feel bad for henry

 

Edward gazed at the killer in front of him.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his arms still shaking. He... this man... whoever he is... just killed seven men and women without blinking! What kind of person am I looking at?

"I heard you all talking," the man replied. "The only reason you're alive and not bleeding out is because you've claimed to never have shed innocent blood. Should I stand corrected?"

"No, no!" Edward insisted. "I... I was bit as a child... the rest of my family was attacked as well. I've been hiding my whole life. I never thought that these people would want to kill innocents! I've known them for years, and I had no idea till tonight--"

"Calm down!" he cut him off. "It's Edward, correct?"

The man nodded, running a shaky hand through his slightly long brown hair. "You are?" he asked tenatively.

The man looked at him with a smile. "You don't know?"

Hannah sat on her bed, wondering what she was to do next.

OOC: fear the length of my post!! :roar:

"Guess," the man said after a moment, when he could tell that he wasn't joking.

"You..." Edward began, and then a thought hit him. "It can't be!" he gasped aloud. "You... you're him?""

"Who's him?" the man asked, removing his gaze from Edward to look at the shallow cut in his arm from the woman werewolf's dagger. It wasn't bleeding anymore and seemed alright.

"Van Helsing!" he whispered. "The murderer... the one we're supposed to fear! You should have killedme by--"

"I can just do it now and save myself the trouble of your rambling," Van Helsing cut in, looking at the man again now.

"Sorry," Edward said, shaking once more. "I'm just grateful you've let me live."

Van Helsing suddenly saw a large, dark form flying over Edward's shoulder. He pulled one of his guns once more and aimed it at the sky. Edward screamed and fell to the ground.

"Relax," Van Helsing said, almost to himself. "It's my letter... back so fast, are you?" he said to the bird, which landed on a large boulder next to him. He took the note off its leg as Edward rose from the ground, blushing and brushing the dirt off his front.

"D.amn them all to hell!" Van Helsing swore after a moment. Edward was silent. The other man looked up at him. "Sorry," he said now. "Rude of me. It's a letter from Rome. Vampire warnings from the town I justcame from. I've got to go back."

I know exactly who they're about, too,he thought, thinking of Jinx and possibly Elizabeth. Gods, why couldn't they have told me when I was still there?!]

"Take me with you," Edward began suddenly. Van Helsing let out a loud laugh.

"You should be dead!" he exclaimed, holstering his guns and turning to leave. "Go home."

"I haven't a home!" he insisted, picking up his daggers and following Van Helsing. "Please, the werewolf that turned my family works for Dracula! They all work for him now, and I want more than anything to help you kill him! I need your help!"

"And what's to happen at the full moon?" Van Helsing said, walking faster and shaking his head. "I can't risk you turning me as well."

Hannah waited a while to make sure that everyone who stayed at the inn was in their room and then hoisted Henry onto her shoulder and took him outside. She didn't have a good plan as what to do, but she figured if she left him somewhere believable, people would think it was just one of the seldom vampire attacks. Hastily, she went back to her room after placing Henry behind the inn to look like he's been going to the cold storage building when he got 'attacked'. She washed her hands several times to get both the liquid blood and the scent off of them.

 

OOC: um... i'll think about it...

 

OOC: yay barbra! and i cant believe how huge that frikkin pic was... jeez!!! lol

BIC: "Look, I don't know about that," Edward said, still following Van Helsing, trying not to trip on the rocks and little hillocks in the ground. "BUt the full moon isn't for another three weeks and if we haven't found Dracula by then and I don't have a plan, I'll leave. Okay?"

Van Helsing stopped and turned to face the man. They were close now, but Edward could still not see the other man's eyes under his hat's brim.

"I usually travel alone," Van Helsing began. "But if you're so eager..."

"If I attack you, shoot me," Edward said suddenly. "Just help me find and kill Dracula."

"No need for that kind of talk, boy," Van Helsing said with a cynical grin. "It looks like we're headed back toward Transylvania, where Dracula was last rumoured to be."

"But you have business on the way?" Edward said as they walked up to Van Helsing's horse and his small camp.

"Yes," he replied. And I'll do what I can to stop from having to kill Jinx... and whoever else is with her...

Hannah paced her room, worrying her head off. How could I? He was such a nice guy... What if someone finds out? His family.... She went and stood by the window. His poor family....

Hannah went back to her bed and laid down. I guess the only thing I can do for now is sleep... even though I'm not tired... She rolled onto her side and tried to fall asleep.

 

OOC: GOOD GOOD, WOMAN, GET OFF OF DRACULA!!! HE WILL EAT YOUR BABIES!!!
