"No," Van Helsing insisted. "You should stay in here with us where it's safer. We got two rooms for a reason."

 

"What do you mean?" Edward answered her thought. "I don't understand."

 

Carl sighed, "Fine, I'll walk up and down the stairs I guess." he laughed.

Jinx nodded, "Sorry Beatice, I think you're in love."

 

Beatrice shook her head quickly. "I can't be."

"You used to be so warm to me," Hannah explained, placing her warm hand in his. "Now you just feel the same as me. I don't understand either."

 

Van Helsing chuckled. "Shall we go and tell everyone my accomplishment?" he asked. "And try to sort out sleeping arrangements?"

 

Edward frowned, and thought of speaking to Lestat later. "I know how to kill John," he said quietly.

 

Don't tell her the specifics, Lestat warned softly.

 

"yeah. That should be interesting." Carl muttered.

"Why not, have you ever been in love before?" Jinx smiled.

 

"Okay," Hannah curled back into a ball.

"My father," Beatrice paused. "Well he... he already arranged my marriage."

 

Jinx looked at Beatrice for a moment. "And what does taht mean now?" she asked after a pause. "I mean are you going to marry this guy?"

 

Van Helsing started up the staris to the rooms, just ahead of Carl. "What do you think those four are talking about?"

 

"You don't even care?" Edward asked, a little surprised. "It doesn't even matter to you, what I'm willing to do?"

 

"Edward, I don't really understand anything that's happening right now." Hannah admitted. "I can't think straight and the room won't stop spinning."

"I don't really have a choice." Beatrice grumbled.

 

"I don't know. Sounds like girl talk from here." Carl shrugged. "What do you think?"

"Are you sure? I mean what's forcing you to marry him?" Jinx asked.

 

"Then it's a perfect time for us to barge in," Van Helsing smirked, knocking on the door. "Are you ladies decent?"

 

"Well, did you eat something?" Edward asked. "That would help, you know, even if you don't like it. Trust me."

 

"No more than you." Jinx answered.

Carl shook his head.

 

"Jinx wants me to eat a human." Hannah muttered.

"You can come in." Beatrice said.

 

Van Helsing opened the door and let himself and Carl inside. "What are you two up to?"

 

"Do it, Hannah," Edward insisted softly. "Please.... please, you need to! Just do it."
