Van Helsing

"I'll stay too." Beatrice offered, not fully aware of why she wanted to.

"I trust you." Hannah closed her eyes, starting to drift to sleep.

"Of course not." John smirked. Younger than me, but been through much, much more. I suppose I feel a bit of pity for him.

 

Carl jumped out of the carrige. "Of course. But please don't be too long, even if you murder them." he smiled at Van Helsing quickly.

Jinx opened her eyes and climbed down off the carrige. She couldn't detect the added anger in her emotions yet. "Beatice..." she started, looking closely at her, "Do you think you can handle it?" she nodded at Carl.

Will walked around so they wouldn't detect him as he continued to follow them and add layers of unhappiness to Jinx's feelings. This time he added a soft feeling of lonelieness.

 

"I'm very glad to hear it," Edward smiled. "You rest... I've slept already."

 

"Thank you," Lestat responded, smiling only a little. "I suppose you won't be very happy with her the next time you see her?"

 

"Come on, then," Van Helsing muttered to Jinx, and started off into the trees.

 

Hannah sighed happily, cuddling closer to Edward.

"Not in the least bit." John grit his teeth.

Beatrice shifted in her seat.

 

"Van Helsing, for god's sake give us a second!" Jinx snapped, harsher than she'd really meant it, "Beatice, if you can't handle it, I'm not leaveing you with him alone. Do you want me to stay with you or do you want to come with us?"

Carl looked at the ground, feeling awkward that Beatice was so affected that Jinx wouldn't want to leave her alone.

Will smirked, he had heard Jinx's tone and added another thin layer off annoyance to her.

 

"Sorry," Van Helsing muttered, and stopped to wait for Jinx.

 

Lestat smiled, though he was worried. "I'm sure that means you're just going to talk with her..."

 

"Depends on your deffinition of 'talking.'" John smirked.

Beatrice hopped down from her seat and went to stand tenatively next to Carl, giving him a small smile."We'll be fine."

 

"I'm only asking because," Lestat began kindly, "I can keep Edward busy if you're only intending on talking to her."

 

Jinx gave Beatice a long look. "Okay, I'll keep my ears open." she said, "good luck." then she walked over to Van Helsing.

Carl returned Beatice's smile, equally as tentive. "So, do you really think you'll be okay?" he asked, nervously.

Will continued to stay hidden but follow them. He stopped laying the bad feelings on Jinx for the moment, so she wouldn't get suspisious and because he knew that once the ball got rolling, her emotions would probably turn from bad to worse on their own after his little bit of help.

 

Van Helsing walked beside Jinx, thinking of what to say. "So who the hell is Will?" he began quickly, and then swallowed. That was wrong...

 

Jinx felt her anger flash, along with her eyes to red for a second, but swallowed what she'd been about to say. "I told you... remember..." she said, queitly. "He's the b*stard who made me and left me to the wolves."

Ah, yes. I see she figured that out. I always knew she was smarter than most. Will thought, almost fondly, as he followed.

 

Beatrice nodded and smiled, though she wasn't really sure.

"In that case, I'm only going to talk to her." John assured Lestat.

 

"Lovely," Lestat smiled, sighing to himself. I'll never tell Louis's story if I can help it... he thought miserably. That would be much too painful.

 

"I'm sorry," Van Helsing tried now. "I wish I could say something to make you feel better."

 

"Yes I'm sure." Jinx answered, curtly. "But unless you plan on killing him, there really isn't much you can do. And as you said before, you arent' here to solve our problems, so don't worry about it. I'll take care of him when we're all done."

 

"But I'll give her a bit of time before I visit her again." John said.

 

"Very sweet of you," Lestat smiled. "I can't imagine why, considering your deathly jealousness of her werewolf."
