Seth made a sound through his nose, and plopped down, quietly, flat on his stomach. "I'm watching?" Seth whispered back. Seventh time. He tried. He wanted to give up, but why just laze around? He didn't want to be weak. He'd save the pack from hunters, he'd be sure. Better they take my life than take theirs, which would just ruin there life...not mine. I'd be fine with it. "Could you train me to hunt?" He wouldn't want himself to ask help from others, but he knew it would be a shortcut to hunting, running, and...
    He thought of Andrew. Howling.

Rayne looked down at Seth, her eyes softened. She knew Seth wanted to be the best and wanted to sort of help out. She looked down at the snow, considering the request. Then she looked to the herd of deer. They were still there, thank goodness. "Yes... but not today." She looked back over at Seth "Deer are too big for little ones to hunt. You could get easily hurt or worse... Alaura is probably very worried about you by now... Head back to the cave right now, and I promise to help you train..."

Seth got up, trotting quietly away. He licked some snow, since he was thirsty. He reached the cave, but sat away from the other members. The last thing I'd want is someone to take pity on me, he remembered the thought. He rested his head onto the cold hard floor. He examined Andrew. Carefree, lazy, and useless. He remembered a story of someone like that, the two wolf brothers battled it out for dominance over the forest, and the tough, serious one lost. He slammed his paw against a rock in fury. The rock bounced away.
Too big of a deer. Too small of a pup.
    Lazing about.
    Serious one.
    No way.
He always listened to his nomadic parents's tales. They always had interesting ideas. He wanted to be just like the characters in that story. There was no more ideas of that, since they were dead, and he couldn't remember there stories anymore. He was lucky to remember that one. Unfortunate. He scratched out the last thought.
    I'd lose to Andrew...
    Now I'm just thinking competitive.
And what about the new girl...
I hope she won't be better then me.
    He growled in frustration.

Andrew jumped onto his feet and he immediately directed his attention to where the large thump was coming from........which happened to be Seth......flicking away a rock. Andrew softened his gaze and went laid back down to sleep. One of these days he was going to get a heart attack from being so uptight and bouncy. I can't believe it...I'm turning into.....a Seth! Oh woe is me! I need to be more relaxed. I can't believe him though. What's his problem?....that rock could've hurt someone. Just because he can't hunt yet doesn't mean you have to be all angry about it. I get angry about....some...things too......but I don't.... And soon, Andrew was dropping back into his peaceful slumber in no time.

Kasha stretched a few minutes later. She still felt tired but the sun was drifting into the cave and it warmed her fur. Which in turn made her feel happier, even though the incident that killed her mother had just happened, and it made her feel more awake. She stretched out her paws and looked over towards Andrew. He was asleep.
'He's probably tired too.' Kasha thought, and she slowly stood up, shaking her pelt. She slowly walked over towards to the mouth of the cave, and sat down. Kasha watched the snow and seemed to just stare at it for a moment. She looked away remembering that if you looked at snow too long you would eventually become blind from Snow Burn. She would hate to be blind what a horrible way to live. She would have to be taken care of by other Pack mates and could never go hunting with them other wise. Kasha diverted her attention from the snow and instead watched a small bird hopping around on a tree branch as it chirpped. She listened to her surroundings and remembered that if the birds weren't chirping than it meant there was danger, fortunately they were chirping.

Seth rolled over, staring at the ceiling of the cave. Why? He thought.
Why did they have to die?
Seth rolled onto his legs, and walked to the corner of the cave, and huddled there, where no one could see him shed a tear.
    No...
No one must die in this pack. No one! I'd spend my life on theres! I'll guard them. I'll train, and protect them. No one should suffer the pain I have.
Seth slammed his fist into the ground.
No...they'd think your mad about the not being able to hunt, curse them. I think everyone would think that. Damn.

Andrew heard Seth shuffling again and Kasha move. It was already late morning. It will be futile to try and sleep any longer. Andrew just got up and sat down on his hind legs. He had a calm facial expression and then yawned widely with his mouth gaping wide and his head tilted up a bit. He couldn't help yawning that way, he didn't care if it looked like he was trying to howl, a yawn was a yawn and they can't be disturbed. After finishing up his yawn, Andrew saw Kasha over at the mouth of the cave. He walked quietly and softly to her and spoke with a gentle tone. "Are you still tired? I'll leave you alone if you are. Just say the word." He truly meant them. Andrew was fully aware that he could be extremely annoying sometimes because of his bouncy and carefree personality. But there had to be someone in this pack that was a least slightly cheerful, right? And unfortunately, that duty relied on him. Andrew the Cheerful.....is that what I'd be known as? Maybe Seth doesn't have a bad idea. As soon as I grow older, I'm going to try and do well at hunting too......or....at least something.

Alaura gave Seth a stern gaze he came back into the cave. It conveyed everything she needed to say to him. But she was relieved to see him come back. She then turned to Andrew. She chuckled, he was so cute with his uncontrollable playfulness.
"She needs her rest, Andrew," she said softly to him. "She must be exhausted. Try to be patient." She sat near the mouth of the den, listening for signs of Rayne's return. Her stomach growled as if it was waiting anxiously, as well.

Rayne had a very successful hunt. She dragged the large fallen deer back towards the cave by one of its hind legs. She didn't eat a morsel of it at all. The pack was first to eat, and then she ate the left overs. That's the rules she set herself after she realized she was going to be doing the most hunting. Rayne grown use to carrying heavy burdens around after months of practicing and hunting on her own, so it made the task easier to handle. But... it was still very difficult.
Her legs and body screamed at her to stop, take a break, anything! But she kept going. By now, the other wolves were probably starving. I should have gone earlier, she thought. Tomorrow I will not make that mistake.

OoC://I should say this, wolves hunt in a pack, at least three hunters, while one stays behind to take care of the pups. The alpha ALWAYS eats first, then the pups, beta, and finally the omega A.K.A. pup sitter. Sorry for not say so, I should explain more about wolf behavior another time.

    BiC://
"No, it's okay. I'll rest tonight. If I rest now I won't be able to sleep tonight." Kasha said to Alaura, and smiled a polite wolf-smile, and wagged her tail. Kasha looked down at her paws tiredly and then looked at Andrew.
"We can still play if you want?" She mentioned to Andrew, standing up, wagging her tail in a friendly manner. Kasha bowed down, still wagging her tail, and smiled.
"Tag?" She asked him. Kasha looked over at Seth, he seemed to be in a bad mood, "Do you want to play?" She invited to him, and stood up, motioning her head towards Andrew and herself.

ooc: ....whats stern mean? Hey1 I'll be the alpha male! Or...the head of the pack...or...Kashas father...I'll name 'em John.
    bic:
Seth looked away, not showing his angry face which was filled with temper, as always. Though he may have hid his face, his tail gave it away. He whiped away the tear, and clenched his teeth. Alright....I could've gotten a deer also. I'll be last of the pups...I'm not that hungry anyways...
Though his mind shut him off from these thoughts, his stomach made him think differently. He still wanted to be last, though.
He got up, and surveyed the cave. All of them waking, stretching away the fatigue in their muscles.
He heard the invitation, and looked to the deer.
He looked at the ground, placing his paw onto another rock and rolling it up and down his paw. "After we eat."
He never played since his fathers and mothers death, but since the new person invited, he'd accept. Though it will never be like it used to. Himself playing with himself before, in the eyes of his parents, but now it will be strangers, a pack, playing with pups his age.
Seth sat down, waiting his turn for the deer.

    .......I can't think of a new character....>_>....no creativity....

BIC- Andrew was about to stop her from inviting Seth, since he expected a firy refusal, but was extremely surprised when he had agreed. Andrew didn't show this at all except maybe a fast blink that was quickly gone. He simply nodded at Seth and then turned back to Kasha. "My name's Andrew. You can have first bite. You're probably more hungry than I am." Andrew waited for his turn on the deer. He hoped that the Pup Sitter wouldn't be too hungry. After all....she deserves food just as the rest of us...since she has to stay here and be stuck with us all the time. But I suppose that's how things will always be. In no time at all, he had forgotten about his strange dream. He had wondered about it while trying to fall asleep agian, before he gave up and went over to Kasha.

OOC- Stern means like critical, mad.....you know....the look that parents give you when you've done something bad, but not requiring punishment.....yet.

OoC://Stern is control, leadership. Or just stubbornness. Mostly used when someone is talking
"Don't listen to them." He said in a stern voice to his friend.
Something like that. All right, John it is.

    Here's more information about wolves:
The leader of a pack is an Alpha normally a male and female. In this case, though, the male is the only leader. The alpha's are the only ones allowed to have pups. If the alpha's don't have pups its the beta's that will have pups.
Alpha's also, always lead hunts, and are first to eat along with pups. After the pups its the beta's than finally the omega.
Beta's are second in command, there is normally two to three betas in a pack. Genders don't count.
Omega's are the lowest in rank, and are often, and always bullied around by beta's or alpha. Rarely alpha, they are most of the time, only put down by alpha if they fall out of place. A lot of times they get put out of the pack(basically, just keeping distant and running behind the others) and not fed until they eventually steal something such as food from another pack member or a pup. Then the leader and betas normally kill/kick out/maim the omega.
Any new pack members become the Omega, the omegas are pup sitters and aren't in charge of anything. They have no power.

Pups are one of the most important members of the pack, since they carry on the pack blood. During the first few months(2 or 4 maybe 5) they are given milk and then after that to about 5-8 possibly 9 months regurgitated food and after that they are weaned off and given actual meat. They don't start hunting at about 10-11 months. They either watch the hunting or get in on the hunt a little bit.

Huh......>_>...guess I was way off....:D sorry. So....then....if Alphas are only allowed to have pups....then....does that mean, Kasha and Andrew are siblings?.....and Seth would be an omega pup?(so many questions. XD)

OoC://Well, that depends if you want to. Not always. Very rarely are pups abandoned but if they are found they are most of the time excepted if they act properly, if not than the alpha will find it a threat and kill it. Pups are never considered omegas.

Hmmm.......I feel like having Andrew think he was with the pack his whole life and just never knew about the Alpha and therefore Kasha.

BIC- Andrew awaited for the Alpha whoever he was to eat first so then Kasha could eat and then Seth if he wanted to go 3rd. Andrew didn't mind going last so long as everyone was happy. But he was starting to lose his appetite because he was so hungry and there was nothing to eat around here. His stomach growled and he hoped no one heard it. He felt slightly guilty that he was hungry when the rest of the pack was trying to find food. He also felt embarrassed that he was hungry and his fur made him look chubby. The other pack members might get the wrong impression.

"I'm Kasha it's nice to meet you, Andrew." She said in polite manner to Andrew. "No. I'm not that hungry. I was eating before the leader came to get me." Kasha fibbed, and sat down, she could hear Andrew's stomach growl. Kasha could feel the emptiness in her own stomach. It felt like from her throat to the bottom of her belly it was just...empty. She felt her stomach growl too, she quickly laid down trying to act as nonchalant about it as possible. Kasha, like Andrew, also felt kind of embarrassed. Her coat was heavy too but it didn't make her feel chubby. Her mother always said that your fur would always make you look fatter when cold came and the leaves started to die. Kasha remembered a few weeks ago seeing the leaves. Her mother said it was the most beautiful and colourful season, Kasha agreed. Kasha looked to Autumn as death though. The leaves were dying but it was just so beautiful. Now, she had to wait till next 'Burn-Sky' as her mother said, to see the beautiful death.

John noted all the birds, but barely took in any scenery.
So now I have to take care of Kasha? He thought. It will be easy. Her mother did too much time with her. Too much. He could easily use his authority as an excuse to make taking care of her easier.
John spotted the cave, and spotted the smell of blood in the air.
They've already done a hunt. He trotted over to the cave, and in the corner of his eye, saw Kasha with Andrew. Making new friends. He also saw Seth, but he was a few two metres away from her. Too serious like me to be interested in friendships...its the seriousness thats got me far too, but Andrew too was a hard worker too, he could see. Kasha...he didn't know. A bit of a fair medium in work. Shy to try new things.
He noticed the lie she made, but noted it as being kind, and formal.
John kept on walking passed the wolves in the pack, not saying any hello. He simply sat beside the deer, and ate his share, and walked away. His tail didn't show any dominance too. He had a medium respect to all of them.
If anyone would greet him, he would grunt back.

Seth was fine without eating. The snow, acting as water, filled him a bit up but also made his mouth not water at the sight of the deer.
He simply placed his head down, his tail showing that once the leader came in, that the leader was in power, that he was dominant. He bowed his head in greeting and in respect. He turned over, looking at the snow. His eyes, even though they hurt by the light of the snow, he had good eyes.
He simply closed his eyes a bit, listening in to the conversation of Kasha and Andrew. He caught the scent of the leader though. The exact same. A definate match. They were related, which proved the point what Kasha said.
