Kaito stood looking at Rhixan... unsure of what to say, if he should say anything

 

Rhixan looked at them both. "Kaito... Raffello... What are you doing in my room?"

 

"umm, its a long story, i was just talking to Raffello, terribly sorry i woke you up" he said sincerely

 

Rhixan shook her head. "Its okay.." She sighed. "I remember why I felt guilty now..."

 

"i know too.... Raffello told me..." he said with his head bowed

 

Rhixan sighed. "I feel terrible about it..."

 

"its not your fault.... you werent given that choice" Kaito said

 

Rhixan nodded. "I'm happy I remembered."

 

"too bad it will be the last time" Llednar said from behind him "you shouldnt be sticking your nose where it doesnt belong Kaito, we have been trying to get rid of you for months... one subtle death plan after another.... you always seem to get lucky..." he drew his blade, "dont bother running, the castle has been evacuated and knights have the perimeter surrounded"

Kaito stood looking his old friend in the eyes, his pain seen only inside of him...

 

Rhian stood up. "Hey! You're not killing him! And thats an order from The Memoria family!"

 

Kaito turned to Rhixan and smiled "i shall find you again, but until then i must be off" he turned back around towards Llednar, he reached into his pocket and grabbed an egg, it was painted black and he broke it in his hand, he blew it and it created a smoke that irritated people's eyes, he blew it into Llednar's face and he lept out the window, he dove into the garden and hid

Llednar wiped the soot, ash, and pepper from his eyes and looked out the window.... not noticing Kaito had left a small key on Rhixan's bed. "dont let him get away!" he yelled as he ran inside from the balcony and down the stairs to the court yard

 

Rhixan coughed. Spotting the key, she picked it up and hid it in her pocket.

 

Llednar gritted his teeth he ran into the court yard and looked for Kaito

 

Rhixan brought out the key and sat on her bed. "Which lock does this key go for?"

 

Kaito walked out from the bushes "i will not allow you to harm her Llednar, i swear my life on it," he said with an almost emotionless attitude
"you always were the illegitimate 'child' i was told that since i was a child i would be the first given marriage... i dont see why she liked you more, i am better than you! at least i know who my parents are" he said as he drew his blade
Kaito held his blue rose out right and it turned into a rapier, with a blue rose on the end of the pommel "im sorry old friend... if this is how it must be..." he stood still but kept his stance, dodging all of Llednar's attacks

 

Rhixan heard fighting and went outside to the balcony. Looking at them fight, she heard the name Llednar. "... He was that boy... Standing afar, watching me and Kaito..." Raffello came out after her. "I understand if you hate me...." Rhixan looked back at Raffello. "Why would I hate you?" Raffello sighed. "I'm the one who stole your memories."

 

two knights came running into the room with Rhixan and Raffello in it "stop right there!" one yelled
Kaito stood emotionless, he gave a smile and caughty Llednar's blade mid swing, he caught it before it had a chance to hit his hand "it seems that even with numerous years of training, and being loved by the royal family doesnt help, im still a better fighter" he said with a smile
Llednar pulled his sword away and looked at Kaito, the bloodlust that filled his eyes had to be quenched

 

Raffello looked at the guards and stood in front of Rhixan. "What do you want?!"

 

we have been ordered by sir Llednar to take you into custody, come along quietly, one guard walked towards Raffello, and the other toward Rhixan

 

Raffello drew his sword. "Think again! You're not taking Rhixan!"
