    OOC Thread
Two lands, one endless war. Would peace ever come to its inhabitants? Most townspeople say no. Hardly anyone even remembers why the fighting began. The two kingdoms have always lived relatively friendly lives. There were the occasional minor disagreements with trade here and there, but that was the extent of it. The fighting has always seemed to be rather balanced, no one kingdom receiving the necessary foothold to conquer the other. Supplies were diminishing. Villagers were dying of starvation. Money was running out. The two kingdoms were beginning to look like wastelands. Townspeople were leaving, abandoning their lives and moving elsewhere.

Finally, at the pits of despair, the Kingdom of Korr received the foothold they needed. Citizens of Lazinth revolted, refusing to help any further in this endless war. The Kingdom of Lazinth was ready to fall. In a hair-brained attempt to keep his kingdom to himself, King Rintz of Lazinth offered his only daughter to marry the first son of Korr. The ruler of Korr, King Tallence, accepted the offer. His men drew back, returning to their beloved kingdom, and peace seemed to finally rule the lands once more. Villagers moved back. People seemed happy. It was all going as planned.

As the wedding drew nigh, whispers began in the castle of Korr. Those whispers reached the ears of Princess Kaileigh. She was being forced to reside in Korr, so she wouldn't be able to back out of the nuptials. Princess Kaileigh sent word back to Lazinth, warning her father of the rumors. King Tallence had no intentions of ending the war with a treaty, via the wedding. With it now only two days away, how long would the people of Lazinth have until they were finally ruled by Korr?

    Rules:

    1. Obviously, no god-modding/power playing
    2. KHV rules apply
    3. I have nothing against romance/language/violence, but keep it appropriate
    4. Max 3 characters per person
    5. If you can't handle multiple characters, don't make them. Or I will kill off whichever looks the least involved
    6. Only one royalty character per person. If you want to play the King of Korr, you can't also play the King of Lazinth. You could have a king, a knight, and a villager or another varying combination.
    7. I am the exception to my rules. I do what I want. J/k
    8. Have fun.
    9. For those that pick the two kings, I will be working with you more exclusively. Expect lots of PM's. You have free reign to come up with things to make it interesting (I encourage people throwing in their own twists and turns), but i'm still going to need to keep you on a leash for plot purposes. lol
    10. Any questions? Feel free to ask.

    Accepted Characters:

    • Name: Kaileigh Rintz
      Age: 19
Status: Royalty- daughter of King Rintz
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Here
      Occupation: Princess
      Weapon: N/A
Personality: Level-headed and mild mannered. Kaileigh does everything asked of her, even if she greatly dislikes it (including marrying someone for the sake of her kingdom). She's dilegent and hard working, as she was raised that way, and is rather soft spoken. She rarely speaks out of turn, making sure to only speak when spoken too. Kaileigh typically keeps to herself and rarely gets involved with things related to the war.

      Name: Yvette Sashiren
      Age: 22
      Status: Villager
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Here
      Occupation: Castle Maid
      Weapon: Dagger
Personality: Fun and carefree. Yvette tends to go at her own pace and is comfortable around other people, this has managed to manifest into making her the village harlott, but she does not typically engage in indecent acts. Yvette frequents the local tavern after spending long 14 hour days cleaning the castle. She, much like the rest of the staff, are watched closely- so not to release any secretive information. She is bubbly and bright, despite working so hard each and every day.
    • Name: Keeva Massey
      Age: 17
      Status: Villager
      Allegiance: Korr
      Appearance: Keeva
      Occupation: Farmer
      Weapon: Flail
Personality: Intellegent but silent. Although she is a woman she is very well educated because of her father who is ill and on his death bed. Although she has family in Lazinth that could willingly help her, she takes on the work load for herself. She is helpful to those in need and frequently gives out crops to the sick and homeless. Although her farm is one of the best in Korr many are trying to take it away because it is run under a woman rather than a man.

      Name: Derrick Massey
      Age: 25
      Status: Villager
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Derrick
      Weapon: Double-edged Shortsword
      Occupation: Blacksmith
Personality: Lionhearted and loyal. He loves his work, his wife, his son, and his kingdom. Although he wished he could have become a knight or a soldier, the Blacksmith route turned out better for him. Although he is well known for his weaponry he isn't fond of using them to kill or injure. If he does use them, it's more for formal entertainment rather than war. He tries as much as he can to visit his family in Korr, where they exchange crops for his tools and other items.
    • Name: Zephiel the Vermillion
      Age: 23
      Status: Adventurer
      Allegiance: Neither
      Appearance: Appearance
      Occupation: Traveler
      Weapon: A broadsword
Personality: Zephiel is a free spirited and laid back person who goes with the flow and tries his best to have a wonderful time. He loves to goof around and have fun whenever the opportunity arrives and loves it even more whenever he has company to enjoy it with. He has a high sense of curiosity about the world, which was what set Zephiel off to become an adventurer. The name "Zephiel the Vermillion" was not made by him, but was a title that the people gave him. Throughout the land he has earned the reputation of a hero, but Zephiel tries his best to hide this fact. Though he can keep a secret for others, he cannot keep his own secrets and is a terrible liar. He still goes by his name "Zephiel" but for some reason he refuses to reveal his family name. Though he can get aggravated quite easily if something does something stupid, it is difficult to truly get him mad. If he does get mad his personality changes to a much more calm and serious one.
    • Name: Risit Lore
      Age: 26
      Status: Villager
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Ignore the katana!
      Occupation: Royal physician/counselor
      Ranking: N/A
      Weapon: Staff
Personality: Wise beyond his years, kind, and a little on the playful side. He is invaluable to the royal family of Lazinth and knows it and because of this, he tends to mess with the knights and soldiers simply because he would never get punished for it. His favorite thing to do is to simply "bop" them on the head for their stupidity as he sees all the knights as merely grunts who can only swing a sword around. One would never think that he was as talented or smart as he is. Risit is of noble blood and is therefore eligible for knighthood, but simply keeps this a secret because he would never wish to kill another person. However, rumors say that when angered, he is more than capable of scaring the knight's captain...something that the captain would never admit to.

      Name: Hadrian Tallence
      Age: 39
      Status: Royalty
      Allegiance: Korr
      Appearance: Ignore the magic!
      Occupation: King of Korr
      Ranking: KING OF KORR
      Weapon: The Sword of Korr
Personality: Strict. Hadrian is a stickler for tradition and does not tollerate insubordination. Years of war have made him cold to his subjects and even to his only son. He wishes for him to become an even greater ruler than he has been and Hadrian only sees his actions as good for the kingdom. The only person he would ever open up to is his Queen.
    • Name: Abigail Tallence
      Age: 35
      Status: Royalty
      Allegiance: Korr
      Appearance: Here
      Occupation: Queen
      Weapon: Hidden blade
Personality: Believes that women are equal to men, maybe even better, so she has strives to be a powerful queen who is not only wise and intelligent, but strong and fair. However despite this she still plays the part of a quiet, obedient wife as her dreams too often got her laughed at and mocked, bringing shame to her family. This doesn't stop her from ruling her country though, even if she has to go behind her husband's back to do so, though regretfully as she is otherwise loyal to him. And though she doesn't show much emotion to her followers she is a kind and caring mother who also treats her pet birds almost as well as her son.

      Status: Knight
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Here
      Ranking: Base Knight
      Weapon: Bow and Arrow
Personality: Aloys always tries his best and has a knack for always getting back up on his feet, even when it is best to stay down. He has an incredible aim to top it off and is a loyal solider, though has moments of clumsiness which has prolonged his stay as a base knight.
    • Name: Dante Vale
      Age: 20
      Status:Knight
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: Dante
      Occupation: N/A
      Ranking: Lieutenant
Weapon: Twin swords (Red and black one in picture)
Personality: When compared to the other knights, Dante is very unorthodox. At most times he seems to be very laid back and calm. Though whenever he's needed for something, he takes it seriously and performs his job to the best of his abilities. He was never given any proper training, instead he self taught himself

      Occupation: N/A
Ranking: Lieutenant (Specifically usually guards the king :p)
      Weapon: Broad Sword
Personality: Just because she’s a woman, Jo is no push over; she is fierce and determined, able to stand her ground against any man. Weapon: Mace & Shield
Personality: Very obedient and respectful of parent, trainers, and military higher-ups. Willing to risk/give all for family and kingdom. Respects the rights and beauty of others and nature. Feeling distant from his father (except in their training sessions), he grew up very close to his mother. Has few friends, mostly confides in his mother and fenris (his pet wolf). After hearing new of the upcoming marraige, the young prince is nervous and anxious as he prepares to come into the world as his own man while training to take over a very demanding job.
      Other: pet
(Fenris: A loyal servant of Korr and personal friend to the prince. After an afternoon ride through the woods a scrappy wolf followed the prince back without his knowledge. Crossing through the castle gates, the guards sized the wolf, not wanting to see it harmed. The prince brought him home and has enjoyed his companionship ever since. He is believed to be around 25 which is believed to be rather special given the age length of wolves. He mostly stays by the prince's side but can be found roaming the village.)
    • Name: Beta

Status: Royalty - King of Lazinth
      Allegiance: Lazinth
      Appearance: (Click)
      Occupation: King of Lazinth
      Weapon: The Sword of Lazinth
Personality: Good humored and good natured, Archibold is a King who is loved and respected by his people. He has a close relationship with his daughter and is deeply upset that forcing her into marriage may be the only way to save his Kingdom, but as a King he is bound by duty and to his people - a fact which he respects. He understands that he and his daughter as much as they dislike it have to make sacrifices too, just as the people of the Kingdom would have to do. The years of war, and loss of his wife have left their mark on Archibold, but he remains steadfast, strong and noble - staying true to himself and doing the best he can for his daughter and his Kingdom. ...He knows when to be serious, but some do say he has the tendency to be very relaxed even in the worst of situations.

      Name: Leonidus Arcadius

Weapon: (Same as picture - It's not a katana - Just a big sword!)
Personality: Quiet and wise beyond years, Leonidus Arcadius is a man who speaks only when necessary, and when he does speak, you can be sure that it's something important. He is a living legend with a mighty reputation behind him as one of the greatest Knights that Korr had ever had in their ranks and was even respected by the Knights of Lazinth. A few years ago - he resigned from his position and then vanished. There hasn't been an official sighting of him since then. ...Rumors of a powerful swordsman wandering the lands have been plenty however.
It is unknown to this day just where he is, or his reasons for disappearing.

      Status: Knight

      Weapon: (Same as picture)
Personality: Aveline Arcadius is focused, determined and punctual, taking her duty as a Knight of Korr seriously. She is the daughter of the legendary Leonidus Arcadius, however she has not let his reputation as one of the greatest Knights there has ever been be used for her own gain. Aveline has worked hard to secure her position in the Knights of Korr by her own merits. She is highly skilled and respected, known to be a powerful Blademaster like her father before her.
She hasn't seen her father for years and has no idea why it is he vanished or where he may be now. Her mother wished for her to become a good housewife and to marry, but Aveline chose her own path following in her father's footsteps and advancing quickly with her great skill, already securing herself a place in Korr's history. Her father believed that 'one should cut their own path and forge their own destiny', and she too believes in his words.

Once he puts on his armour he becomes a force to be reckoned with as he shows no mercy and no honour in combat. He is hunting a traitor from his home land and cannot return until he kills the traitor. This has left him bitter and cynical as the traitor was a close friend. He is very protective of those he helps. Once someone starts to know him he becomes friendlier but also sarcastic.

Name: Louise Jeritos Braska, aka Kinslayer
      Age: 27
      Status: Former Royalty
      Allegiance: Himself
      Appearance: Click Here
      Occupation: Exiled Prince

He hates his father and sister, his father for disowning him and his sister for stealing the Braca Imperial Throne from him during his coup’deta. Appearance: here
      Occupation: Uhh...Nothing?
      Ranking: Peasantpfft
Weapon: Two swords with their own sheathes(hanging from Poke's sides on his pant loop things). Swords can be combined to make a double-edged sword.
Personality: A fun-lover that doesn't get in to politics that much. Poke takes pleasure in making people happy, and he's ready to help anyone at need. Unfortunately, Poke has personality disorder. Only one extra personality, though...a very violent one. Blade is what ‘other Poke' likes to be called
Blade is pretty much the opposite of Poke. He likes to do things alone, and he seldom asks for help. He's violent and tends to cause violence whenever he's unleashed. Fortunately, Blade has been dormant for quite a while, although Poke gets the feeling he may arise again soon.

Absently she stared out the large bedroom window. How many days had they kept her here now? Asimilating to the surroundings is what they told her, but it was clearly an attempt to keep her from backing out of the arrangement- as if she would. Kaileigh was too diligent, too loyal, for something like that. She promised her father she would go through with it, and she always kept her word. The princess watched the grounds below. Guards marched in unison across the castle lawn out on patrol. Oh how she had grown homesick. The Tallence's kept a nice home, but Lazinth was where she belonged. How would she help her people by being here? With a heavy sigh, she moved away from the window.

Kaileigh stepped across the expansive room and made her way over to the plush bed. They were really pulling out all the stops to impress her. The workers at home were a great deal more laid back. Here, everyone appeared serious all the time and constantly on their toes. Was this how life in the new castle would be? Would she always have to watch where she stepped, afraid of getting on someone's wrong side. She missed her Father, her home, and her people. They had just begun to rebuild the kingdom. What would he do without her by his side? He would probably be fine. There were plenty of people to assist him, but she felt hollow away from home.

There was a knock on the door and Kaileigh jumped to her feet with a start. She had not anticipated anyone to come visit. She did, however, request to go on a visit of Korr. If she were to rule this kingdom alongside Prince Varion, then she needed to know what it was like. Kaileigh had only ever heard stories and seen small glances of it. She had never received a proper tour of the kingdom. Two day. That was how long she had until she be wed. There was mischief afoot. She could feel it. She had heard it with her own two ears. Had she done the right thing sending word to her father? She hoped so. The last thing she wanted was for her people to be conquered by the brute that was King Tallence. She had not taken a liking to her future in-laws, and neither had they. Arranged marriages- something to laugh at. What had father always said? "I will never force you to marry. You may take as long as you wish. I only want you to be with a suitor because you care for them, not because you have to." She chuckled lightly at the thought. How silly they had both been. Now where was she? In her future kingdom, two days away from marrying a man she knew little about. Hah.

The atmosphere of the outside of the small little farm house could raise the energies of the saddest of the sad.
7 men were settled in chairs, clapping along to the fiddle played by an 8th man. 3 women were dancing with 3 men laughing in a happiness as they exchanged little words before switching between each other. One of the men in the chairs was holding a toddler on his knee, bouncing him up and down to the beat as the child laughed gleefully. The surroundings would be a similar way as this until hours after sundown.
Keeva was inside the house, humming as she carried food into the room where her father lay. She placed the food on his lap and smiled. Her father smiled back as he handed her a glass of wine from the side of the table.
"How did you get wine? We can't aff-"
The man in the bed smiled as he spoke, "This harvest was the best we have ever had, and it's the first year you have run this farm. When the workers here joked with me earlier and blamed witchcraft I laughed along."
He raised the glass up at her and she did the same, to which he spoke, "To the year."
"But the harvest isn't over... this is just first crop, second crop has almost riped."
He sipped the glass and spoke, "This has always been the harvest week for us, and this will always be the annual day."
She smiled as she sipped from the glass and spoke, "Wonderful how well the harvest week was timed."
His smile faded a bit before he said, "Are you speaking of the royal marriage?"
Keeva's smile faded too as she said, "Well of course. Is there a problem father?"
He looked out the window as he spoke, "Although I will never hold it against you, I wanted to watch my only daughter marry away."
Keeva moved from the chair to the bed and spoke, "I rarely ever leave the farm to even think about finding someone I would love."
He placed his hand on his daughter's head and spoke, "There is nothing wrong with that, but work is not the only thing to have in a life."
"If I marry he will make me a kitchen wife."
"That's not always true. Look at your cousin. His wife makes clothes, and she always wanted to."
"My cousin has always been that one exception."
    "There's more than that."
Keeva stood up and spoke, "I do not wish to be rude but I must check to make sure nothing is destroyed by them."
He laughed, "They do not drink before the sun is setting."
She smiled as she walked out of the room and out into the sunlight. She stretched out her arms and spun around to have her dress flow for a moment.
She watched them dance and chant along before one of the men sitting down stood up and walked over to her. He was one of her father's good friends who was called "Grass hair" as a joke because of how often he would have grass in his hair, she had known him for a very long time. He outreached his hand,
    "A dance, Madam Massey?"
She accepted and they joined the group of them. They all laughed along as the sun peaked the sky.

The bold knight had come back to the castle of his lord after a scrimmage that occurred in a nearby town. Even the civilians of this nation named Korr in this land were growing weary of the king and his reasoning. His horse galloped into the walls as the boy waved to his subordinates. He was a Captain of the knights there. Although being very young, he had much talent in the art of combat and strategy. The king recognized this as well which is why he had been promoted so early on. He jumped off his horse and began to walk her to the stalls. Once inside, he gave her an apple. "There there Moca, you did me proud today. Take a rest while I check in with the "king"" He walked off into the main castle.

Beta stood into the stunning place the king called home. Beautiful as it was, that man sitting upon the chair was not worthy for all this. It should be he who sat upon the throne. The king had unknowingly murdered his parents back during the wars. His parents were simply on a trading expedition from the city-state of Lecsh which was far from any of the two lands fighting. The place was unimportant to anyone here, and now it was meaningless to him. The king sent his knights to do away with them, believing they were enemies. He was found by one of the knights and taken in around the age of 5. The king was asked what to do of the boy and the only answer he could give was to take care of him. Luckily for the knight, his wife could not bare a child. He could have a son of his own.

He entered into the king's chamber. A long room it was with much gold and silver being dotted in different ornaments and plating. The chair alone of the king was something that could be considered holy to some who had never witnessed such a cast amount of wealth. The boy bowed down to the man he call his majesty. Although the king had killed his parents, it would be wrong to give any signs of betrayal. Beta had a plan to get revenge on him. Killing the prince and maybe even the princess would show the king the sort of pain he had been through. "King Hadrian, I have come here to inform you that the revolt in that town you sent me has been dealt with. I await your next orders." Beta was never good with Geography or names of cities. They weren't really important enough to remember. All he needed to know was north, south, east, and west and then head off to battle with his fellow knights.

Sure, while in the other kingdom the princess would have their best people to watch over her. Korr's own physicians and probably a few knights as well. It wasn't that Risit didn't trust them...it was just that he didn't trust them. He had petitioned the king to travel with the princess only to be denied. He was still needed in the kingdom and he was certain that King Rintz did not trust Risit to behave himself in Korr. It baffled him as to why the practice of ridiculing knights was frowned upon. They were so stupid, ignorant, dull, and utterly useless when not in battle.

'And the clanking of that armor could drive someone insane!' Still, he couldn't blame the king for keeping in mind Risit's own safety. Korr's king was a much tougher man and would probably have him beheaded for his antics. Or worse, that king of Korr could force him to hang around knights for a week. "Oh well. I suppose it's for the best." Risit stared down at the concoction he had just finished. Seven hours of hard work for a brilliant masterpiece. He poured the blue-tinted liquid into a vial and left his humble abode to head towards the castle which wasn't really very far. Being important as he was, he had to live close to the castle. In fact, he could have been living inside it but declined due to the sheer abundance of knights.

"Take this would you? It's for your health. You're looking a little pale." Risit left the vial in an unsuspecting knight's hands, patting him on the shoulder. He walked straight through the main entrance but not before hearing a loud (and satisfying) gag from the knight he had just drugged. Seven hours spent well on a practical joke. 'Too bad I'm too smart to be a jester.' Risit grinned, clasping his hands behind his back as he picked up his pace before the knight could turn and chastise him.

"Good." Hadrian spoke curtly, giving the young captain a dismissive wave. Revolts were not as common as they used to be when he first became king. In fact, he had been a much softer person before he had taken his place on the throne. During his father's travels towards an outlying town, a dissenter had struck him down. Just like that, Hadrian's father was killed by a mere commoner. Death met him not honorably on the battlefield defending his kingdom but on something that was barely anything more than a stroll through his land. Hadrian had tried to settle matters with words only to be met with failure. It was only through a firm hand that he was able to bring peace to Korr and because of his actions was on the way to leaving his son in line to inherit the combined kingdoms of Korr and Lazinth. Finally, true peace would be achieved and it was just within his grasp.

"You may leave." He had no further use of the captain at the time. The revolt had been quelled and all that was left was politics and the daily ongoings of his court. Hadrian had hoped that Abagail would have arrived by now. Hadrian was a brilliant strategist, unmatched in combat, and many other great things that would be sung about him when he passed, but his wife was cunning and perhaps wiser than he was. With all these little squabbles over villagers' land problems and judgments to pass, he had rarely done any of these things without consulting the queen. No, she was not a crutch, but he knew perfectly well that she had many strengths. Hadrian would not have married a lesser woman.

Still, there were times when he overruled her judgment and knew it might have hurt her pride. He was king after all. There was no question of his wife's loyalty to him...even if she went behind his back to make a few decisions of her own. Yes, he knew about most of these even though Abigail meant to keep them a secret. Hadrian never said anything about it however as he trusted her. They both wanted what was best for the kingdom. He had just hoped his son would be strong enough to take responsibility when it was time. This totally wasn't a whole description of a relationship between two strong personalities having to fit together instead of technical details of a scene. Character development. ...Character. Development. Also, Arch hopes RA doesn't mind what's been said in this post. He can edit if she wants.

Yvette stretched her arms up high above her head. Her slender back made a cracking sound in multiple places as she twisted to and fro. Just because the princess was gone didn't mean her workload lightened a bit. She rubbed her hands on her knees, massaging the muscle down to its core. The work made her body stiff and it would require a long hot soak later in the evening. Heating the water for a hot bath always took such a great deal of time. They were a luxury, one she could rarely afford. She smiled sweetly at a guard that walked past her in the hall. He was clad in armor, she in her work clothes. Yvette adjusted the skirt of her dress so it would no longer get in her way. She bundled it up in one section, removing any unnecessary layers.

She wiped the sweat from her brow before getting back to her work. There was a lot of floor to scrub and the day was running short. Already she could see the sun setting in one of the large hall windows. Golden light shined down on her and she had to look away. The sun was blinding, yet still beautiful. Yvette smiled contently before dipping her filth covered rag into a bucket of water. She rung it out then proceeded to go back to her work. It was never ending for a castle maid.

As the red haired knight made his way through the castle, he couldn't help but think about the royal wedding. After serving under his king for some times now, he sometimes could tell what he was thinking and it was clear that he didn't fully want to do this. But with the safety of the people at risk, it seemed to be their best option at the moment. Decisions like these are what made Dante glade that he wasn't the king. His job was to protect the members of the royal family and it was something he would gladly do. Besides, his mindset wasn't always one that would make him a fitting candidate to be ruler, which was fine by him.

He soon arrived at the sparring room. He glance over all of the dummies until he saw the one he normally worked on. Using two sword in battle didn't come easy. Sure he make him more versatile, but it was pointless if you didn't know how to use them without getting in the way of each other. As he approached the dummy, he drew both his sword and started to tryout various combinations to see which one worked the best.

Leaving the harbor with a heavy crate on his shoulders, Romeo made his way back to the market. Normally someone else would do this while he watched the shop, but since he's been sleeping on the job, his boss had him get the crate instead as punishment. I think I finally understand what some merchants must go through. He had no choice but to suck up all of his complaints and just bring the crate back. Hopefully he'll be able to rest when he got there. Then again, knowing his boss that wouldn't happen unless he was injured in some way.

A tower of the castle held many cages made of wood where the queen's pets resided. This is where Abigail was now, tending to the birds and making sure they were being taken care of. The proper amount of food and water was present and all seemed happy. This brought happiness to the queen as she gave each bird a turn on her gloved hand as they were stroked and examined. No injuries or signs of illnesses. This was good.

The last one to be checked was one of her favorite hawks, Thrain, and he reminded her of the messenger she had sent out. Thrain was a very well trained messenger hawk and would have probably been back by now, but alas the birds were only used for more important matters. They also deserved every second of their downtime for their missions were normally flying all over the land, sometimes even to Lazinth, as fast as possible. They did not even rest until their message was delivered.

But anyway, she was now thinking about the farmer who she sent word to. Was she as interesting as she sounded? There was only one way to find out, and she really hoped it would happen soon. Who would deny a request from royalty though? If someone did it would be rather bothersome, though maybe that will be amusing as well. However chances were she'd show, so it would be very unbecoming for Abigail to miss their rendezvous at the requested place, that being the throne room. So after returning Thrain to his proper place and removing the glove Abigail left the room and was entering the throne room moments later only to see her husband was already there.

Smiling at Hadrian as she entered, Abigail took a seat at her throne and placed her hands on her lap. "Apologies if I am late this evening, there was an issue with the caretaker for the birds. That matter is settled now and I do hope all is well here."

Beta bowed to the king and was soon about to head out until the wife of such a powerful man, Queen Abigail, entered the throne room. With a noble bow to the fine lady, he waited until she had sat. A beautiful woman indeed. It was a shame that she had been married to such a wretch, but no human was perfect. "It is a pleasure to see you your highness. It has been far to long." He said with a jest. Courtship was one thing that had to be maintained as a knight. Chivalry stood its ground for all time when in the presence of a lady, especially thy lady of the kingdom of Korr. "I say, I must be on my way. I am merely the beta to misses and mister alpha. Please let me know if there is anymore I can do for the either of my lords." Beta walked out of the throne room right after another formal bow.

The knight headed outside back to the barracks of the castle. He wished to watch the young knights spar and train. It was his duty as a Captain to maintain the best squad he could forge. Weakness leads to a break in the unit; a break in the unit can lead to sudden death on a battlefield. Once that was wrapped up, he returned to his home, a small little attachment to the castle. It was finer then the barracks where the rest of the knights slept, so he couldn't say he hated it. The only thing missing from his life was a lady to call his wife. He could not bare any of the future burdens on a woman of his though. If any of the plans he had failed, she might be hanged or trampled to death. Many women he turned down for that reason. His foster parents never understood it. After a few attempts for arranged meetings they gave in and stopped the futile resolve.

The sun was setting. Night would soon befall the land and the next day would await him. It would surely be another bore for him unlike today. After this peaceful night, a day would remain until he could solve the country's problem. The poison that had governed the heart would soon be neutralism. It would be a shame that so many civilians would also be effected. It couldn't be helped. Some sacrifices had to be made to cure the whole.

The castle, to him, was a maze. And yet again Aloys found himself lost within its walls as he desperately searched for someone to show him the way. He just hoped it wasn't one of the higher ups for surely one set out to guard the castle would be frowned upon if he could not even find anything there.

It was getting rather late too. His stomach even growled. Was he to die like this? No, surely that was just being too dramatic... Still, despair overcame the boy as he was ready to quit his search and simply wait for help to reach him. However, in that very moment, his vigor was restored at the scent of fresh fruit filled the air. Was it really...?

    Yes! It was the kitchen.

Rushing in had earned him a few foul looks from the workers instead but perhaps one would spare him the time of day to offer some food. He even started to beg for attention, saying just a piece of bread would do. But before he knew it he had been kicked out and left to sit outside the kitchen like a dog waiting for scraps.

She was now the one playing the fiddle.
Everyone was dancing to the song she was playing at this point, no one was sitting down, everyone was happy. Her eyes were closed as she engulfed herself into the music. When she opened them she saw something out of the corner of her eye. A man on a horse was heading up the road towards the farm house
She asked Grasshair to take on the fiddle this time which he agreed in happiness.
She ran quickly to the front of the home and waited in front for the man. Where else would he have been heading on this road? The fields? She doubted it. He approached and stopped the horse and spoke,
"Good evening, Miss Keeva Massey. Her royal highness has requested your presence at the royal court for this evening. There will be a carriage sent for you soon, unfortunately I failed to get to you any earlier. I apologize. Would you like to rearrange the meeting?" the man on the horse had trouble keeping the horse steady.
Keeva exchanged a smile and said, "No need, what time would the carriage be arriving?"
"Just before sundown at this rate."
    "I will be ready then."
"Very well, be safe Miss Massey." he spoke as he rode off. She looked at the sun and noticed it was sundown and she frowned, "He could have said very shortly..."
She turned to see a couple of the workers looking at her and she motioned for them to continue as she slowly entered the house and walked into her father's room where he lay asleep. She quietly walked to the other side of the room and opened up a small cabinet.
Inside was her mother's formal dress, there was a reason that her mother had many formal dresses, but she wouldn't think about it now. Besides it was the reason her father was in Korr and the Massey family was split.
She pulled out the dress and whispered to herself, "Well mother, I have a reason to wear this dress now. Never thought I'd be summoned to a castle."

The long day was nearing it's close for him.
He hammered away at the final sword he would make that day, his work was now slowed now that a treaty was being upheld through a wedding, but this never meant he didn't have work. It just meant less because weapons were not as needed.
When he was done he heard a knock at the door and yelled for their approval to come in. A man walked in quickly and spoke, "I am here to pick up my order."
"Ah yes, Sir Vincent, nice to see you."
We walked to the back and pulled out a beautiful long sword and came back holding it up, "As requested, I engraved a dragon that can be seen as soon as you unsheathe the blade. Not requested, but ceremoniously with my engravings of dragons, I heated and smelted the blade with green fire."
He placed the blade in the sheath and handed it to the knight, "You may test before you pay."
He pointed at a dummy just by the door.
The man hacked away at the dummy and turned around with a smile, "This is one of the best swords I have ever held." he walked up and placed a bag with money on a scale, which evened out with the weights placed on it. The man smiled as he held up the sword.
    "Thank you Master Massey."
"It is no trouble at all, may your sword protect you in hard times."
He watched the man leave as he put out the fire in the hearth, smiling at the compliments of the sword by the man.

To her disappointment, it had just been another servant. This one had come to bring her food. Kaileigh was being held prisoner like a common criminal. If she wanted to sit around and do nothing, she could have done that in her own land. The prince had yet to even speak to her since her arrival in this neighboring land. For it being so close, it felt foreign and unfamiliar. The last person she saw from home was her guard, and even that was a few days ago. Her only companionship were the hand servants that dressed her, brought her food, and tended to her room. They must have been under orders to speak with her as little as possible, for they rarely made a peep and never provided her with eye contact. Kaileigh was fed up with their toe stepping, but it was not in her nature to act out. She had been raised better than that.

She sighed longingly as she watched the sun set. What she wouldn't give to take a stroll through the garden or watch the arrival of ships on the oceanic horizon. Her chin rested lightly in the palm of her hand as she returned to the spot by the window. The sunset glowed cheerfully, basking her in its lustrous aura. She wished to feel the evening breeze blow through her hair, the tips tickling at any exposed skin. Her castle room was stuffy and she felt like the walls were closing in on her. She needed out, at least for a short while.

Kaileigh lingered by the door after the servant exited the room. She felt a hum of excitement coarse through her veins as she prepared to do something completely out of character. She would return before the moon was at its peak and figured there would be none that notice her absence. That would involve actually entering her room, which people rarely did. Slowly, she pushed open the door and peaked through the crack. The hall appeared to be relatively lifeless. That was a good sign. She shut it once more, and made way to the wardrobe, pulling out a cloak in case it were to get cold later. It would also help keep her identity a secret. The last thing she needed was for some rogue citizen of Korr to recognize her face, not that she had spent enough time in this kingdom to truly become recognizable. She tossed the hood up over her white hair, tucking any loose strands underneath. Kaileigh stuffed a satchel full of coins inside dress and lifted the skirt of it up off the ground.

The princess elbowed the door open slightly and slipped out into the castle hall. She body checked it shut and began her tip toe through the castle. The only problem being her unfamiliarity with the structure. The only exit she knew of was the main entrance, and surely she would not be able to get out easily that way. Now what?

She had explained to two of her most trusted workers.
They said they would keep her father safe and would watch over her farm. She put on the dress and washed her face. When the carriage had arrived she was read. She took a small amount of money with her, she did not expect to go big spending.
She was a bit frightened, she spent most of her time in the farm, she never had the need to go into a town or anything. She was really excited to see the ocean though, she hadn't in a long time. Not since her mother died.
Her mother, she was of noble birth in Lazinth. Not royalty. Her father was just a mere peasant. But, like any love story the two met and fell in love. But the two couldn't be together because of their differing social classes. Rebelling in a way, the two packed bags and ran off to Korr, where they married and had Keeva. Her mother died 7 years ago during child birth, the baby also had not survived. Her father became ill within the past two years, but she suspected he really caught it soon after her mother had passed away.
The dress was clearly the dress of a noble, but she modified it slightly a few years back. That was because she got rid of signs of the former family it belonged to, except a small crest in the back. If she modified it, the dress would have fallen apart.
In the end, she did not care. She was born as a farm girl and a farm girl she preferred. But people were trying to take that away from her already.
At least they will be pleased that it is being watched over by men temporarily.
When they finally reached the village, the castle was in sight. However, unlike most people she was not paying attention to the castle, she was paying attention to the seaport. She always wanted to go on a boat and sail off, even if for business. But she knew she was lucky enough to own a farm at this point. There was no sense chasing after unachievable dreams.
When they finally got to the castle, she was helped off the carriage. It was already night at this point. She stared up finally at the large castle in front of her. Her nervousness had finally set in. She stepped back from the entrance and one of the guards at the door looked at her with concern, "Miss, are you okay?"
She turned to them and smiled, "Y-yeah, just nervous is all."
She walked into the main entrance and she was told to wait until the Queen was told of her arrival. She sat at a small chair that was in the area she was told to wait.
I don't think I did anything wrong... hopefully this is a good thing...

He tried to sleep. Beta was suffering from some type of insomnia recently. It was either fear... or anticipation for what was to come. There had been nothing better to do in his own home. It was only there for sleeping and personal storage. The only way to pass the nights along was to just go around and guard the castle like a good knight. It aloud him to keep check on the other knights and guards who had the night shift as well. Some enjoyed their sleep and were sometimes caught snoozing on the job. He may have been a tad cruel with those ones, but his fellow knights loved and respected him. He was a good leader and very few deaths were seen sense his promotion. Outsiders would see that as the king's doing and not a knight. Sir Beta was only known by few. His age was the only thing that surprised people. A 19 year old captain of the Korr knights, inconceivable they would say. He didn't mind. His name would be much more well known to them once he had created the dictatorship he so desired. Nothing or anyone could change that.

He set off to do the normal patrol. Dusk was soon to set for the land and soon many of the nobleman and merchants in the outer walls would be heading to sleep soon. Small candle lights flickered on the walls as the knights had begun to spark them. The castle was beautiful at twilight. The lights on the walls, the sun in the sky, the shadows coming down into the crevices: these made the castle shine with a lust that none other than maybe the Lazinth castle could replicate. Not to his surprise, one of the men had been slowly drifting off, and it was far to early for that. "Attention! Sleeping is forbidden, or would you like to be the next member of the royal jousting committee." The man awoke and tried to apologize. Beta nodded and let him go on. Of course if he was caught again, it would be fecal duty for him.

He continued to walk around until he stopped at the gate. A young girl was sitting there waiting. She was far more beautiful then the other women he had encountered over the years. Surely she had a meeting with the queen. Her long, light, pinkish hair glimmered as she moved her head looking around. Her eyes glowed with a certain sparkle that only the moon itself could compare. He wished to know more of this woman, though he feared what may happen. He came up to the guards to chat for a bit, pretending not to pay attention to her in the slightest. With a simple turn of his head, he smiled and bowed. "Why is such a lady of your beauty and stage doing out here. Please, let me direct you into the castle my lady." He said with a light tone. "Oh my apologies. My name is Sir Beta, Captain of the Korr Royal Knights. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

At that moment right before, she was just not paying attention.
She was looking at the surrounding, trying to distract herself from her own nerves. She wasn't doing too well, but at least of all things she was trying.
"Why is such a lady of your beauty and stage doing out here. Please, let me direct you into the castle my lady."
Her head turned quickly to match up the voice with the human talking, and her eyes caught a man with dark hair. She bowed her head and smiled softly at his compliment.
"Oh my apologies. My name is Sir Beta, Captain of the Korr Royal Knights. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
    He is a captain?
She stood up and smiled at him, "Thank you, I am Keeva Massey. It is a pleasure to meet you."
She did not have anything else to say, she just waited politely to be lead inside.

Gwen had had a busy day, she hadn't stopped at all. She'd been serving the queen all day and running errands, from helping the Queen dress (some of her fancier dresses aren't exactly easy to get into) to making sure all the food was ready with the birds (though Abigail liked to do a proportion of the birds care herself) and right now she'd just had to go get one of her dresses repaired after it got tore quite badly. She often did minor repairs herself but this one was above her skill level. It was repaired now though and she was quickly returning it, walking quickly through the castle with the newly repaired dress folded up neatly in her arms.

However, after quickly rounding a corner she stopped in surprise seeing the princess. "Oh! Hello, your highness, I wasn't expecting to see you here." She bowed her head respectfully and tried to curtsy though she found that difficult with her arms full. "Is everything alright? I hope the castle is to your liking." She smiled brightly and just hoped the King was treating her well, this wedding was a sign of hope for everyone, she only feared that the king would ruin it somehow. The princess was actually quite beautiful but from what she'd seen of the Princess so far, she had a feeling there was much more to them than simply looks. "I can give you directions if you're heading anywhere in particular, I can understand if you want to get out for a bit."

As Romeo finally returned to the market with the heavy crate in tow, he looked around and saw that no one was around. That's good. Maybe now he could get some rest. Placing the crate now nearby, he rested himself on it. Taking one more quick check, he closed his eyes and started his rest. He didn't even bother to worry about what would happen if he was caught sleeping on the job. For now, he would just enjoy it while he can.

There was a sudden sound of footsteps coming from down the hall. Kaileigh tried not to panic, but they were coming closer. She stopped, trying to look casual as she did so. A woman rounded the corner and her breath caught in her throat. "Oh! Hello, your highness, I wasn't expecting to see you here." She bowed her head respectfully and tried to curtsy though she found that difficult with her arms full. It was the queen's hand servant. What was her name again? "Is everything alright? I hope the castle is to your liking."

The princess pulled down the hood of her cloak. Her hair fell in ringlets around her shoulders. Kaileigh smiled pleasantly at the woman. "Mm. Yes, thank you. I was just-" she paused, searching for the right word, "taking a walk." It was a half truth at least. The castle seemed to employ only the most attractive of servants. Is that a purposeful thing, she wondered. Queen Abigail's hand servant had luscious long red hair and green eyes. Her skin was light and creamy, with peach colored lips. She was a beauty. Kaileigh wondered if the girl had been snatched up and married yet. Someone with looks like her's no doubt was a wife young at age.

"I can give you directions if you're heading anywhere in particular, I can understand if you want to get out for a bit." Ah. How helpful this maiden was. She appreciated the generosity. She smiled kindly at her and pulled the hood back over her head.

"That would be much appreciated. I wish to get out of the castle for a short while. Being held prisoner in my quarters has done nothing for me, but grow weary of this life. Dost thou know of a side entrance nearby? Taking leave out the main hall would only get me tossed back into my chambers." Hopefully speaking to her wouldn't adhere to a consequence. She needed some time to breathe. The castle was stuffy when one never left their room. As long as this girl could keep her mouth shut, she could have an enjoyable time in the city for a short while. Kaileigh wished for all to go as planned. She even sent a silent prayer to the gods and asked her mother for protection.

Turning away from his window prince Varion made way for his bed. An early night indeed as the sun was just setting, but it had been a long day. Every muscle in his body threatened to scream as he crawled into bed. His noble pet Fenris curled up at his feet and as the two began to drift off to sleep, Varion began to reflect on the day's events.

The morning started off as any other, a hearty breakfast before lessons in diplomacy and affairs both foreign and domestic. A light lunch and off to the training grounds where Master Roxan had forced Varion to run combat drills for the remainder of the day. Usually Varion didn't care much for combat training. He looked at the mace and shield he wielded, the weapons of a protector. Varion had chose the weapons knowing their meaning.A meaning, an idea, a force that he now embodied. He was a protector of his family and his kingdom.

It had never bothered him. nay it had strengthened and driven him to be the best he could for all those around him. What shook him was the news delivered just a month ago. He was to be married to princess Kaileigh of Lazinth. He had met her few times and never for very long. He wondered if she would like him and how the future was to turn out.

A tremor of fear crept through the young prince. What if she were to despise him? What if he could not protect this soon to be family of his own? What was to become of the future of Lazinth? would the price be made to protect the intrests of both kingdoms? Fenris let out a low growl as if telling the prince to relax. Vraion scratched his friend on the head, comforted by the wolf's fur rustling through his fingers, Varion finally made peace with his long day.

"Ms. Keeva, It is thy pleasure. Let us be on our way." He took her by the hand so gently and began to lead her into the castle. The inside of the palace was nearly as stunning as the walls outside. The stained glass added to that effect with the twilight shimmering in creating a flow of vibrant colors on the ground. The candles adding a flickering effect to it as well. Surely this would be the place for the dance at the wedding. The place where all will end death and vengeance. The colors that hit Keeva's hair also created a luminous glow that was blinding to the eyes of the unworthy; the eyes to a knight with an unknown future.

The two of them came to the door of the royals. He went to one of the messengers to alert the queen of her guest's arrival. "Let her majesty know that someone she has sent for is here." Now he had delivered the package. However, he wanted to see her more, which was odd for him. It might be his eyes were full of lust. He wasn't sure however. "Well Ms. Keeva, I must be on my way. I think I will check up on the Princess of Lazinth." He knelt down a kissed her hand. "Now, if you wish to have a place to stay, or someone accompany you back to town, please report to one of my knights to alert me. Tell them, The 2nd knight is tonight. They will understand and try to find me. Until then, I bid you farewell."

He walked off after this to go to the princess's chambers. It was getting close to the time of the wedding. The girl surely would be reckless by now and want to escape. If she heard about the plans after the wedding, then she will try her hardest to warm someone from her land. He walked through the maze of the castle to come to the hallway where her room was attacked. A girl in a cloak and a maiden were speaking to each other. A girl in a cloak was not something that was of the norm here. It must have been the princess. "At ease dear maiden. I will take the care of the Princess from here. Don't you know you are suppose to be in your room young madam?"
