The Escape

Catching her breath, she leaned against a tree. So many things....she held her head, sliding to the ground. It was almost too much, all these memories that weren't her own. Roxas....there were too many people inside her. She shuddered, then slowly began going through the memories once more, sorting what was hers and what was not.

 

Roxas made it to a small town, he went to a hotel and paid for a room with the very little munny he had. He went to his room layed somethings he bought on the bed. He then took a shower, slowly washing off the blood. He looked at all the scars he had. he walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. He walked over to his bags and changed into the freashly bought clothe. he then looked at himself in the mirrior. thinking of how to chang his idenity.

 

Axel was confused from the whole thing that he had witnesed earlier. Xion sounded like Namine and then she went through and evaded Roxas mind. It had upset Roxas and then the two of them got into an agrument. Both of them left without the red head even knowing the slightest clue of where either had gone. Why did they keep on taking off like that? He was more worried and confused than ever. He knew he had to go find them before something happend. Sighing outloud he quickly grabbed a sketch pad and jotted down that he was going to look for both Roxas and Xion. He placed it on the bed and then went out the door. He began traveling through the forest figuring it might be the easiest place to search.

 

Thinking of how to change his identity, Roxas made his hair shaggy, with no spikes. He then dyed it to a dark shade of green. He looked at his outfit, he liked it, and he fitted in with the civilians of the town, with his blue jeans, white dress shirt with the selves rolled up. He walked over to the window and looked at the busy streets below. He needed a Job, and a place to rent, he couldn’t stay in a hotel forever. While standing at his window, he quickly rolled his selves down. He then placed a black hat and jacket on. He left his room and the hotel walking around the town searching for a job, hoping his sickness would not affect him.

 

Xion cradled her head, tears flowing down her face, but she kept going through all the memories, every single one. Her breath came faster, and she knew she didn't have much left, but she kept going. She had to, or she would go insane. A memory of pain drove through her chest, leaving her shaking. She caught her breath, then reopened the memory...Riku....

 

Axel kept walking through the burned forest though he felt like he was not going anywhere. He was sick of their disappearance. Almost everytime there was an argument they ended up leaving. He wanted to just for once for to not wander off . He thought maybe they wanted to stay away from him. Perhaps he was the problem. All he did was try to help, but if no one would trust him how was he supposed to figure things out. Then reality hit him perhaps she had read his thoughts of him in the past and was now afraid of him. Other people in his past would treat him the same way. He had never hurt anyone, but his love of fire timidated people. If that was the truth then what was Roxas excuse. His two friends were breaking their bond and friendship with him. He hated to be the last one to know things. "Xion, Roxas?" He called out.

 

Memories...not Roxas'.... she looked up, feeling like she was in a dream. "Axel?" she called out weakly, hearing something rustle behind her. "Axel, is that you? Roxas?" she got up, feeling dizzy, her eyes wide.

 

Roxas looked around at the many stores he was passing. He needed a new name to go by. My new name should be... thought Roxas, Martin...I guess that will do for now. Roxas noticed some girls that were on a balcony of a store looking down at him they were laughing. Roxas looked up at them. Most of the people in the town had blonde, brown, red, and black hair very little looked like Roxas' new hair color. Roxas looked at them and smiled at them, which made all of them smile back, they all were blushing. He then looked at the store, it was a formal resturant. No wonder the girls were in eveing gowns.... thought Roxas, he noticed the resturant needed workers. Roxas entered the resturant, a man in a black suit looked at Roxas.

"What do you want sir?" said The man.

"I heard that this resturant was hireing is that ture." said Roxas.

"Yes, that was ture...I will scdule you an apponitment with the boss. How about later tonight at Five o'clock?" said the man.

"That would be fine." said Roxas.

"Okay...I will see you tonight." said The man.

"yeah...see you." said Roxas leaveing the resturant and going outside. He walked around to waist time.

 

Axel kept walking until he saw Xion who he approached her silently and then ran up and hugged her tightly. "Why do you keep on running away like that?" He asked. "Is it that you don't trust me now? I do know that you can read minds and it doesn't bother me, but the running away habit does," His mood was more depressed than hints of supressed anger hanging in them. He was now confused as ever. He found Xion, but then he would need to find Roxas as well.

 

Xion shook her head, looking up at him. "I thought you would be angry..I took his thoughts, his memories, by force." She looked away, wiping her cheeks of tears. The memories were held at bay, for now. "I"m sorry..I won't try to do it again." she smiled bravely, her eyes full of unshed tears. "Old habits die hard."

 

Axel sighed as he slowly let go of her. He needed to give her room to talk at least. He wasn't going to leave her alone now and perhaps she knew it. "I don't see a problem with you reading his mind if there was in fact something he was hiding like his health. Forcing your way into personal thoughts though would make me angry as well without good reason. When someone is mad at you doensn't mean you should run away because it worries me," He explained. "There is something that you aren't telling me as your voice had changed before, and it sounded like Namine, tell me what that was about?"

 

She looked up at him, her blue eyes the exact shade of someone else's. "I.....I don't know." she said quietly. "I remember things that never happened to me, people and places I've never seen. I remember her name, and a Kairi, Sora...the only picture I've seen is Riku." her eyes welled up. "I don't want this! I just want to be me, and know who I am."

 

Axel listened to her explain herself and sighed as he felt he might as well tell her some things. "Riku is the one who wanted to break up this organization and even took Roxas away from us using Diz. He tried to do the same thing to you as well. He is our enemy and always will be. Sora is our enemy as well and is Roxas's somebody the other half of him. Kairi is Sora's close friend, Namine is Kairi's nobody. Somehow you share memories of them, but they are fake," He grew angry all of a sudden thinking about the past of it again, but not at her was he angry at. "You belong with us, regard of what anyone else says."

 

Xion trembled, exhausted suddenly. "Axel......" she dropped to her knees. "What if it becomes too much? All of them, their memories, even if they are fake? I can't take them all inside me. What if I lose myself?"

 

Demyx sighed and slapped his forehead for she had fainted again. "Oh great," he muttered. Splashing her with water, he hoped it would wake her up. Picking her up in his arms he knew the best thing for her was to get some rest in the room. He headed back upstairs to the room he was staying at and layed her down on the bed. Seeing a note he picked it up, read it then crumbled it in his fist. "Not again," he lay back on the bed. "Why is there so much drama!"

 

Xathabat woke up "wha-opps i fainted again" she said blushing. she smiled at demyx."sorry i keep doing that." she laughed nervously.

 

"Uh right..." He didn't think that was healthy, but who was he to judge? "I just received this note from Axel and Xion and Roxas ran away again and poor Axel has to play the blood hound and find them."

 

"not again....should we go after them too? i mean your the boss here,your older and stuff."she said nerouvsly scratching the back of her head.

 

"Uh how old are you exactly?" Demyx was curious of her age and thought about what Xathabat was asking him. Was it a good idea to go after them or just remain in the room? "I don't know where they are at, but I'm sure Axel can find them. Tell you what. We'll give him two hours and if he doesn't come back then we'll go after him." He mentioned while closing the window.

 

"im about 24, and ok two hours" she smiled,she covered herslef in the blank and sat up leaning against the bed."so what do we do for 2 hours?" She woundered to herslef.
