The Escape

"Yes I know," the fox said as Dust stopped on the ground. "Now lets find the gaurdiens."

"Where?" Aqua said looking around.

"Its wont take long," the fox said.

 

Jason continued to look and tend to Elizabeth's wounds the best he could.

Will leaned up, "I'm fine...worry about Elizabeth...." he said looking around, "so she hasn't come back yet....." he sighed.

 

Anita got off of Dust and looked around. "I'll find them..." she said and closed her eyes as she felt around for their presence. She felt the presence of two strangers north of where they were. "C'mon!" she said and started to run in that direction.

 

Jason managed to fix Elizabeth's wound the best he could, "until Nova returns this is the best I can do...." he said sitting down, "but this should last well enough until they get back..."

Will sighed, "I miss her so much already....and this is just a small trip away....I hope...." he said thinking about her, "I love you Anita...."

 

Anita continued to run it that direction, but an arrow suddenly hit her in the arm. She screamed in surprise and pain as she fell to the ground. "Who's there...?" she asked and winced as she removed the arrow.
She could hear a couple of people laughing with joy. She looked around as she clenched her arm. The blood dripped down to the ground.

 

Jason leaned back against a tree and let Isabelle sleep on him, "don't worry Will....she will be back....and then you two can be together forever....." he smiled, "especially now that Varex is gone....."

Will nodded, "your right.....she will be back.....and then we will be together....." he smiled, "me and Anita for eternity......"

 

Seeing no one, Anita slowly stood up. She grabbed her sword and readied herself to fight. "Who's there?!" she asked again. Another arrow came from the trees but she saw it and dodged in time.

"Anita, are you alright?" Aqua asked getting off of Nova. She heard some laughter from behind the trees. When she glanced over an arrow passed by her arm and she froze still. Nove jumped up avoiding the arrow.

"It'll be fine," the fox said glaring at the direction the arrows came from, "That'll be enough you three!"

Elizabeth flinched a bit and then rolled over to her side. Isabelle glanced at her and sighed. "Elizabeth, what am I to do with you?"

 

"Yeah... I'm fine..." Anita said. Laughter could be heard but it slowly faded as they got farther away.

 

"Dont worry about that," the fox said looking back at that direction, "Those three just have a bad sense of humor."

"Those three?" Aqua said looking at the fox. He nodded and looked ahead.

"Other's of my kind," he said laying low on Dust.

"foxes?" Aqua asked.

"No," the fox responded

Isabelle quietly watched Elizabeth sleep trying to stay up herself.

 

Anita thought for a moment. "Animals...?" she asked.

 

"Yes, though not all af them can speak like I can," the fox explained. "The ones that were laughing were yuong adult wolves. Though they seem to act like hyenas."

"But how were they able to use arrows like that?" Aqua said.

"They only had one bow. Two of them can hold the egdes while another shoots them," the fox said.

 

"Why were they shooting arrows at us, then?" she asked, bandaging up her arm.

 

"We're in their lands now," the fox said walking up to an opening to some ruins. "They think they can protect them just by scareing them off. They didnt recognize me so they just felt like attacking." Aqua follwoed the fox but stopped at the opening looking around. "Do you two have your stars?"

"Yes, right here," Aqua said holding her black star.

"Good, Anita?" The fox said turning to her. Dust snorted at the fox and looked like it was glareing at him but the fox pretended to not notice. Nova got next to Aqua.

Once Isabelle fell asleep, Elizabeth sat up and rubbed her eyes, "Was there anything I missed out on?" Elizabeth said yawning.

 

"Yeah... I have it..." Anita said and showed the fox her star.

 

"Good, follow me," the fox said jumping from ruin stone to stone. Aqua followed with Nova right on top of her. Dust was with Anita.

Elizabeth looked up but coudn't see Will, Jason, or Isabelle. she was seeing what Nova was seeing without realizing it. "Um...."

 

Anita followed the fox with Dust. "So... where exactly are we going...?" she asked.

 

"Those stars shouldn't have left their shrines," the fox said stopping in front of a wall with pictures of guards. "Aqua, you do realiz why Naomi was holding on to this black star?"

"For power, wasnt it?" Aqua said. "they would never stop talking about it."

"However, these stars carry burdens," the fox said putting a paw on the wall.
