Sora's Darkness

"That man gives me the creeps."
It sounded like to him she was barking and growling.
"You are going to be a big brother."

 

"I don't blame you." He yawned and curled up on her stomach.

 

She plucks feathers off to make a bed as they regenerate in its place. She laid him down then drapes an arm around his shoulder while a wing covers him as a blanket.
"Why do you say that?"

 

"He acts really weird sometimes."

 

"Sweet dreams, my sweetheart."
She has difficult time breathing for some unknown reason.

 

"Are you alright?"

 

She shakes her head weakly.
"I'll find some help." He runs off.

 

He wrapped his arms around her and scratched her ears as he waited for Malik.

 

"Jenova! There's something wrong with my half sister."
She rests her chin on his shoulder.

 

"What's wrong with her?"

 

"She's not breathing well. I don't know if this has to do with her genes or what."
She coughs harshly.

 

He pats her back. "Probably the darkness in her."

 

He tugs her hand to the door. "Please come and see."
She covers her hand over her mouth then blood sprays on her face. Mei licks her hand then groans painfully.

 

"Did you eat anything that tasted funny lately?" She follows him.

 

She shakes her head.
"How long are you going to torment me like this?"

 

She examined Mei. "Having trouble breathing and vomiting blood are normally signs of a worm or parasite, especially in canines."

One of my dogs had worms once.

 

Her ears drooped then coughs.
"How do we cure it?"

 

"Humans have medicine to treat them, but it's mainly in syringes and we're both skittish around needles. How about a spell?"

 

She looks to Sephiroth for translation weakly.
He pities her state. "Sure."
"Want to go home Orochi?"

 

"If you want to, mommy." He started casting a spell to get rid of whatever was causing her pain while leaving her body alone.
