...the first episode of the anime version of "Romeo and Juliet" (BTW, it's called Romeo X Juliet). Where the hell was this when I was taking English and Theater in high school?!

I can guessed that. I wonder if they have one for A Midsummer's Night Dream?

And it seems that O' Willy Shakesphere is a character in this anime as well... a very bad, and very camp, play writer/director.

I'm so glad I've never gotten into anime. Except for School Days. Only anime I'll ever watch. ._.

A lot of anime is, but that's why I watch it.
Actually, this one is acturally one of the more 'normal' one's i've seen. I kind of do like the Old English dialogue; which is why I'm watching it in it's dubbed form. Think about it, it's an anime based off an English play.

There are some animes where I am just completely...surprised. In my anime club, we watched this anime that is currently airing in Japan. Something about a boy joining the student council and a private, all girl, lesbian school. We only watched one episode, and the entire group was all "DO NOT WANT!!!"!

    Okay then........... :3

I also find a lot of anime to be "not normal"

I never really liked anime except maybe Digimon for the simple reason that you just said: They're ridiculous.

    (Not that Digimon isn't, but it's a classic :D)

Exactly. Even those based around everyday high school are a little odd (K-on! is a good example). Still, I love many of the sci-fi plots. They seem a lot more creative and more thought out than what we have here in the states. I mean, look at some of the popular shows here and compare them to over in Japan.

    Digimon was the shit
    in second grade
    LOL, j/k.

Meh, Im starting to hate anime. Well, some certain types. Freaking hate the girly ones with cat girls and ****. I'd rather watch more serious stuff like Code Geass and stuffz.

Are you kidding? At least it's not as ridiculous as those weird sitcoms like George Lopez and Family Matters. Seriously. At least anime is realistic.

Belive me, the plot summary I gave sounds better than what I watched. I will say that there were many LULZ, but I don't think I'll watch another episode anytime soon.
During the opening theme, there is a part where there are "blurred out rods". I don't think I'll have to explain what those are. And let's also say there's some other crap that I wish to forget

I really do agree. It's funny that the world in animes are the only constants that are in my life (and in this world) lately.

They didn't tell us the name of it -_-', and he didn't list it on the site. All I know is it's suppose to be one of the anime airing in Japan (a new show/series). I'll ask on Monday.
