Shadow Hearts: Redemption

1 year has passed since the defeat of Lady. Malice still lingers and people live normal lives not knowing what has almost happened to them. The time was normal and rather boring for Johnny Garland as he takes simple cases like getting cats out of trees and finding stolen items until a interesting case popped up. Apparently a man who died over 10 years ago has been committing murder all over New York. Johnny rose to the task and went to find his man being escorted by Lenny. The customer was a red-haired woman that Lenny seemed to know.

After a short trip to Chelsea Johnny and Lenny entered a apartment building hoping to find clues to where this killer might strike next. After a short search around the victims home they discovered fading amounts of Malice radiating from cracks in the walls and furniture. Johnny having the power to manipulate his own Malice found a trail of Malice that was different than what he would normally encounter, it reminded him of Shania who was off collecting something of value with Natan. Johnny went to follow this trail while he asked Lenny to record the evidence they had so far and do a little more searching.

Johnny followed the trail of Malice to an abandoned warehouse where inside he could feel the pulse of something that resembled Malice but was much different, stronger than Malice. He opened the door to see a man with short brown hair and black leather clothing like that of a biker. The man turned round and Johnny got a good look at his suspect, the man turned away and started to leave. Johnny tried to stop him for questioning but as soon as he was close the suspect kicked him away with surprising force. Johnny got himself back on his feet as soon as he hit the ground and looked at the man, he was certain he had just spoken. The man reached into his bag on his back at his waist and drew out a pair of martial arts claws before getting into a stance, “You going to stand there all day?â€, the man taunted as he smirked. Johnny took his knife from his jacket and forced Malice into the blade activating his sword, “Looks like I’ll have to knock the answers out of youâ€, Johnny replied trying to remain in control of the situation, his opponent was tough he could tell from his kick.

He two broke out into a fight with the stranger emerging the victor.
Johnny blacked out and woke up at his agency, Shania and Natan had came back and picked him up. They said there was no sign of the suspect but when they got there Johnny was on the floor with the Émigré Manuscript resting on top of him. Johnny decided he need to find the suspect once more.
Who was this stranger and why did he have the manuscript?

Characters

~Johnny Garland-- Fayt-Harkwind
The now top detective of New York, Johnny took a new case to find a suspect who supposedly died in the time of World War II.

~Shania--
Jonny’s now girlfriend and one of the people who work with him in his detective agency, she has the power to fuse with Native American gods.

~Natan--
Shania’s bodyguard, even after they have finished their revenge he still helps protect Shania and now he protects Johnny as one of his greatest friends.

~Lenny
Johnny’s butler, he seems to know something more about the case than he’s letting on.

~Frank Goldfinger--
The master ninja of his clan, Frank’s clan was assaulted in the night from the inside. Frank not realising that some of his clan members where fiends he holds himself responsible and has gone out to slay his clans assailants.

~Mao--
Mao a martial art expert cat, Mao has been working in the film industry since the Lady incident and has become quite famous in the cat movies industry.

~Hilda Valentine--
A vampire with the ability to transform her shape and size easily, Hilda has been working with her brothers at their temporary Sushi restaurant in Mexico, she has now become the main face of their advertising as she was the most appealing of the three towards their customers. She was sent on a business trip to New York to advertise the restaurant.

~Keith Valentine--
A vampire who has a interest in rituals, Keith now works with his siblings at Joachim’s restaurant. He can barely handle the food as he remembers what happened last time he was forced some.

~Joachim Valentine--
A vampire obsessed with wrestling, Joachim owns and works at a sushi restaurant which he sometime uses as a wrestling arena. He has forced his family to work with him.

~Ricardo Gomez--
A travelling mariachi, he went back to travelling America after having no purpose to stay in Chicago as his love life was lost. He is currently playing for a short while in New York.

~Blanca--Fayt-Harkwind
A white wolf, Blanca was spotted wandering the streets of New York when the murders started to happen.

~Kurando Inugami--
One of the last remaining samurai, He came to Japan to find someone after hearing about it from his mother.

~Karin Koenig-- Fayt-Harkwind (lolwut?)
A woman who disappeared years ago, Karin has kept her identity from Johnny but Lenny seemed to recognise her instantly, she hadn’t changed at all. She had been lost in time and had re-appeared through a rip in the fabric of reality.

~Lucia--
A tarot card reader and exotic dancer, after being a great success in Florence she decided to go to America and try to improve business.
