I dunno why, but I was thinking about all of those soilders out there who leave their families to go fight in the war... People are always saying how it's sad for the soilder to leave their family, but how does the family feel? They probably feel sad, as well. I decided to write a poem in the viewpoint of a young girl who's dad is leaving to go fight in the war. I can't believe this. I can't believe you're going. I'll miss you, daddy. Don't be gone long. I'll miss your sweet kisses When I go to bed at night. I'll miss your gentle hugs When I'm feeling sad. I don't like to see you leave, But I know you want to. I just want you to know That I'm proud of you, daddy. I'm glad to see you Defending this country, Even though I'm going to Miss you so much. Daddy, you're crying... Please don't be sad. Me and mama Can take care of ourselves. But before you go, Please promise me this: Promise me that You'll come back.
