Short answer: lol. Long answer: lolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol.
Ah the great back then, I remember I would occasionally de-rep someone and leave someone else's name (usually risk's) because I thought that was really hilarious. And how many threads are merged into that one? Well either that or the staff sucked at locking threads xD Shame it won't be happening though.
You mean it isn't? Well, that's new -.- So basically, rep has now been made completely pointless besides the fact it is a way of judging someone badly. Woo, I'm glad it was excepting, but normally I'll leave my signature on them because I can :3
Who would have thought that if people had their names attached to malicious comments, they would stop making the malicious comments? Humanity, man. So confusing.
Was that really the reason? Seems kinda odd to me, considering how even back in 2007 everyone who had 1000 would have easily achieved 100 rep. Seems like an odd reason to me but oh well, I like having the names attached, that way I can laugh when people try to de-rep me but unintentionally rep me c:
Christhor, can I take a moment to just say how much your sig made my day so much better. I love it so much. :D
Back then rep really had some value. It was a requirement for prem, a lot of the shops used it a payment, etc. So derepping someone was taken harshly. I can't seem to find the thread where we decided to go ahead and include it anyway but it came with the prem requirement removal and anti-rep-whoring rules. So rep lost a lot of it's value and people stopped taking it so seriously. And then an interesting mix of rep not being taken that seriously and no longer being able to hide under anonymity and dereps basically halted, thus no flame-wars. I actually can't remember the last time I was dereped. I've been criticized through positive rep before. That one was interesting.
Someone quite over 1000 posts but not enough rep to become premium awhile ago. Despite contributing a lot to other parts of the forum, they weren't very popular and not prone to making "legit" posts and got derepped quite a bit.
