The Name of the Wind is the first in Fantasy. I could not be more pleased.

I looked at all of them and none of them are ones I feel like reading. I think I'll stick with The Heros of Olympus, thank you very much.
And do you listen to NPR?

In other words, you dislike everything deeper than a damp napkin and have a strong tendency to like the most simpleminded of things and defend them to the death, claiming that everyone else is being too critical; and yet I doubt you have read more than two of the books listed. Get out.

No, I have never listened to it, but this list is of great intrigue to me.

Like I said earlier, this is too beautiful. I need to start reading more.

So you're not even going to read a chapter or two before deciding whether to stick with a book or not? I am disappointed.

I think I did it wrong first time, as soon as I got to a book, I went back and choose a different option until I got to books I've read/recognised.

Doing it properly I got to The Crystal Cave or, nah we'll keep it at that.

I did a text transformation of it for my English Lang and Lit coursework.
The story is set in post-apocalyptic America, fertility rates are extremely low, society is patriarchal and the country is run by new totilarian leaders. The story flows the concubine, Offred (not her real name, it was given to her when she was given to be the concubine 'Of Fred') as she lives her life in one of the original founder's houses, where she is one of few women who can be fertilised for children.

It's a Post-modern work, and it rapidly changes from one place to the next without a flow, its mindbending occassionaly. I though it was put in the wrong catergory as a result.

Never heard of it... You like Merlin? You might like The Great Tree of Avalon series. Haven't read this one so I can't say anything about it.
Hmm. Where did you see it on the chart? I am having trouble finding it by skimming...

well, I only read a book in the first place if it interests me, and none of these really seem like the interesting type. And I don't really read many books past teens. I just like Teen books more than adult books. I've read others, but they were for my reading class in High School. I had to read things like "The Scarlet Letter", "The Great Gatspy"(did not like those two either), "Huckleberry Fin"(it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't all that exciting to me), "Fahrenheit 451", and a few others that I can't think of. I choose the last one, since we could choose one out of a list, and I really liked Fahrenheit 451. In fact, I ended up reading it in one day since I wanted to keep seeing what was going on. Only thing I didn't like about it was that it never told you where it was, or what the scenery was like or anything. Still, it's a good book.

Middle bottom area, to the right of of A Brave New World an to the left of 1984. And I've re-read the chart and it's called 'THE Handmaid's Tale'. Damn minor mistakes are the bane of me.

It's by Margeret Atwood, a feminist writer has also written Cat's Eye. And more, but I can't remember.

What the ... I don' t even ... how would you know if they would interest you or not you when all you got is their cover ?
Even a chapter or two isn' t enough for me to tell, once I start a book I finish it. If it was good I keep its author' s name in mind.
I' ve read seven of the books in this list (well, more like seven series of three to ten books) when I was a teenager, are you sure you don' t mean you enjoy kids books ? Your adult/teenager classification looks all sorts of wrong to me, these are all Fantasy/SF/Horror books and that' s all you need to know.

You can tell a lot about a cover of a book. That, and I also read synopsis of books before I read them. But yeah, for me, a few chapters, if not even the first one, can tell me if I'll like the book or not.

And no, I don't mean kids books. Would you please define a kids book? And being Fantasy/SF/Horror doesn't mean anything to me. Yeah, I like fantasy, but that doesn't make a book teens or kids. And I don't really read Horror books, I'd rather see them on movies, and I'm not much of a Sci-Fi fan. If it's got sci-fi, fine, but I'd rather not read any of them.

I' d rather not. It' s just that you said you' d rather read teen books than those books, but this list is full of teen best-sellers, so ...
