Was it me or were those snowmen hot?

I can't wait for this episode. I also can't wait for the next season . . . and the one after that . . . and the one after that. The Doctor shall never end, I won't allow it!!

But really, I can't wait to see the Doctor in another one of the famed "Christmas specials" i've loved every previous one, I shall love this one more the same.

Well, if you're talking about the female one, than no, it is not just you.

I'm looking forward to this, mainly because it's been too long since the last episode aired, but I also want to see the next Christmas special. Those have been some of my favorites lately, so I'm hoping this lives up to it predecessor's.

I'm glad to hear this because, while I am a fan of the series 5/6 opening (minus the Amy bit now, I suppose), the series 7 changes were just... ridiculous and unnecessary. I especially hated the patterning of the text, it was so clean before.

I stumbled across this fan-made opening which is lovely:

I saw this on Tumblr! I am quite enjoying Vastra and Jenny's characters, and the utter befudddlement of the poor Scotland Yard bloke was also quite amusing~

    Holy—that's FANMADE? HOW? IT'S AMAZING! O_____O

I know! I do think the guy does this sort of thing professionally but all the same. It does make me a little uncomfortable that the TARDIS is flying at me rather than away, though.

It feels weird to see the TARDIS coming towards me, I agree though- I liked the colour changes to series 7 openers but the text was just terrible compared to what it used to be. I look forward to hearing the new theme and seeing if they'll make the opening drastically different like the difference between Specials and Series 5.

Also, if anyone is interested there is a Doctor Who advent calender where they release new stuff each day until Christmas day (obviously): http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011gpsb/features/doctor-who-adventure-calendar-2012
There are some fun videos and stuff in there :3

    New TARDIS interior revealed:

Ok, I'll be honest, I... like it. It feels very reminiscent to the one from the Eccleston/Tennent era, and that's a good thing for me.

    I still don't know that I like it. It's too...gloomy. :c

I do feel it is a bit too... dark, but that's probably my only complaint so far

If anything, it's more of a nod to Classic Who. I mean, look at some of the previous TARDISes they've had over the years.

    Three-Six
    Eight

Still, I don't really like it all that much. I felt that Eleven's TARDIS fit him perfectly, and this is just a bit... much on Moffat's part. Two interior redecorations for one Doctor when both Nine and Ten shared the same interior for five years? I think we're reaching the point of overkill, though that might just be me.

It does feel like it's a mix between Classic Who and RTD era Who. I like the idea, and while it may seem like overkill for Eleven's duration as current Doctor, I'm actually ok with it because I personally wasn't very fond of the interior used since Series 5

I suppose the new interior is a nod to the classic.. well no it quite obviously is. But I'm also thinking it's gloomy on purpose coz I mean you know, his family died. Like, Amelia Pond's timey wimey dreamland of brass switches and wibbly levers; there was this kind of bright, cheerful magic to that interior, and now it's all gone. The prequel did say he was 'sulking in his box', and I'm thinking maybe Moffat did this on purpose?

It could also be a little heads up that things get a little darker from here on out, with the Fall of the Eleventh and the Fields of Trenzalore looming in the Doctor's future.

Or I could be reading into it way too much. And I do that quite often. .__.

    And wow that is quite lovely indeed c: How do people have the skills and free time to work such wonders ;__;

On the new opening: I like it! It will take some getting used to but I do like it so far. I do wish Jenna got her face in it and I want to see the patterned text die in a time vortex but it's cool!

    CHRISTMAS EPISODE THOUGHTS/EMOTIONS
ahhhhh so good! I think A Christmas Carol may still be my favorite Christmas special but CLARA <3
We didn't get to see the new TARDIS all that much but it seems neat so far. My one criticism of the episode is that I think the snowmen plot completely took a backseat to the larger plot of the Doctor & Oswin. Which is okay, I mean the show is called Doctor Who, but it didn't feel too much like a "Christmas" episode.

BUT OSWIN. OSWIN. OSWIN. I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS WORKS PLEASE.

Loved 'The Snowmen'! It's my personal favorite Christmas special from the Matt Smith years! Clara is a rather interesting character. I'd love to see where they go with her character.[DOUBLEPOST=1356503108][/DOUBLEPOST]And here's a trailer for Series 7 Pt. 2:

I quite enjoyed that episode, it was better than I expected. I'm not too keen on the new starting credits or the new TARDIS interior, I much preferred the old one but regardless, I liked it.

Something you guys might find interesting though:

Look at Clara's birthday, for those of you who don't know that is DW's anniversary - the day the first ever episode was aired. Also consider that next November will be the 50th anniversary. Coincidence? I think not.
