...so yeah...his name is Xehanort in my mind...

 

Y'know, this thing is so darn confusing, I gues I'll stick with Geezernort for now, it's funny.

As someone said that his name should be related to one of the elements i would think it would probably be fire.

 

Because Sora - Sky/Air
Kairi - Sea/Water
Riku - Land/Earth
if i'm not mistaken so fire would be the fourth element, but that's just pure speculation.

Heres my name suggestions :

Validus -means Powerful in Latin.

Pravus- means Evil in Latin.

Since the Knights names are in latin so should be the old geezer's.

I guess, But it's not like Xehanort was a translation for fire. They all have similar names has the people from destiny island, and if their enemy's name translated to fire in Japanese, then that’s what I would expect. Although, this is not the case and the name was complete gibberish. So, I expect his name to be complete gibberish in the least.

where is the latin word for darkness in here?

 

The most suitable latin words for "darkness" as we intend it in KH among these options is "tenebra, tenebrae".
The others have slightly different meanings.
Trust me, I have studied latin at school for five years and my language comes from latin:D

The problem is that "tenebra" in latin is feminine, so it can't be the name of our Baldy.....

I was thinking, maybe is his name connected with the element of Ice? He casts a lot of ice spells in the secret ending.....
"Ice" in latin is "glacies, glaciei", but this is feminine too!! Or maybe "gelidus" = cold??
I don't know......personally I don't like any of them....

I like Validus but I'm not getting attached to any names until geezernort is officially named and that will be soon considering we get 500 fangirls to attack tetsuya nomura and demand answers or they use their finger nails of doom!(XD)

 

Terra is also feminine. So is Caligula, a Roman emporer.

Yes you're right, Terra is feminine. In my language it means exactly "Earth", in fact it sound a bit weird to me.
I would like to know how do you English speakers pronounce it XD
However Caligula isn't, it is a name which belongs to the first Latin declination (which is mostly composed by feminine names) but it is actually masculine.
