Quick, what do we know about Nixon? I need three things. This is a life or death situation. It's likely I'll be dead in the morning. My mom will have killed me. I didn'd finish my report. Hello, my name is Saxima and I've been a procrastinator all my life. I waited two more weeks after my original due date to be born. Any longer and I would have died. :Awesome:
I'm sorry. All of my Modern American History knowledge left my brain the minute my last class ended during last years fall semester. And no, I didn't saved my notes. I deleted them. I burned them. My notes are in Hell. My advice, use Wikipedia. "But tummer, we're not allowed to used Wikipedia!" At the end of the article, they have a good list of sources, all for the picking that are legitimate.
Well luckily I remember some from my history class: 1) He taped almsot everything he said, since he loved the invention, although it was a problem later on 2) He is the cause for Watergate and is basically the main reason he is disliked 3) He deleted about 15-18 minutes of a tape that had to do with Watergate, which was mostl likely his plans for it, and we are still trying to fix those 15 minutes to find out what happened Those are the biggest things I can tell you, since Watergate was huge
Wasn't he the one who decided to bomb Cambodia while 1) it was nutruel territory and 2) the trail used to give supplies to the enemy in the south hadn't been used? I remember he used Napalm and burned a huge chunk of forest down. Cambodia was not happy with him Edit: Ok, I found my history notes, so here's some info 1)Attory General looks into watergate incident and White House. Nixon fires everyone who looks into Watergate. Impeachment soon came. The Republicans, who he was with, told him to step down from office. 2) He was born into a middle-class family. He won the election of 1968 3) he was incredibaly ambitious. He also hated the press. 4) He even made Elvis into an agent for the Government. And I'm talking about Elvis Presley here. 5) the place he bombed in Cambodia was called the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and it was seen as an expansion of war. This was used by the NVA( North Vietnamese Army) to transport provisions and equipment to the VC(I forget what that meant), who were stationed in the southern Vietnam. We were pincered by the north and south. 6) Nixon decided to bomb on the Chirstmas of 1972. All the limitations were lifted(what those were, I don't remember). Adding up these bombs, we dropped enough to add up to 700 Hiroshima bombs. 7) When Ford was elected president, he pardoned Nixon of all his actions, which the people did not appreciate
I really hope she noticed that info I put up, because just the info about watergate isn't enough about him
Viet Cong. Unfortunately, I, too, don't remember much about U.S History. Even though I only had it last year. Not that that would help you now anyway.
A stupid man. He made so many bad decisions, he just barely stayed in office for 4 years. He was lucky he got pardoned
