    Act I
    Infinite in mystery is Immortality
Those who seek it are pushed to the brink
Their tormented souls know no peace
But infinite desire keeps them going until the death
Those who seek it shall know no rest
For they are driven by the desire to live forever
    But why
    Why must one live forever?
    Act II
    Determination is required
For the quest is not easy
One who could betray his friends and his country for another if need be
That is the one who would find what he seeks in the end
One who does what must be done to obtain his goal
But some would not betray their friends, their people
For they believe it to be wrong
But to be immortal would be to let go of them
For one would live forever while watching them die
Such is the true nature of everlasting life
    Act III
    Even determination has its limits
One who would betray his people, his friends?
Is he not the same as one who would betray humanity itself?
    No
One who would betray humanity is a monster
Not human, but something else at heart
But is that not the same is immortality
For is not being human being able to die
So if one was immortal and thus not capable of death, would he still be human
That is the unsolved mystery of immortality
    Act IV
Does not everything have some value?
Does it not come at a price?
So what is the value of immortality?
    What must one give up?
A great price it must be to live forever
To give up attachment to those who shall die
    Is that not the price?
    Or is it something greater?
One must look deep within and answer this question for his own self
    Act V
So when man comes face to face with that which he seeks
Will he be able to ask himself these questions?
Will he be able to take what he sought after?
To live forever through the good and bad times that follow?
No man knows what is to come for tomorrow
So even if the morrow is barren of promises
Will he be able to last?
To ride the wave of sorrow and disappointment into a better day
Or shall he succumb to the mental strain of eternity?
Can he overcome time, age, and death to find what every man truly wants?
    The truth
    Act VI
All things must end. Life, songs, plays, and even this poem
So can the same be said for this world?
    I would think so
So will the immortal man be able to escape the end of the vessel that he survives on?
To take to the skies and watch from above as the world dies
No one knows, but one might find out.
    The End

I wrote this for that story I'm writing, which is almost done. Doesn't rhyme at all which is like a first for me. Why am I posting it in spam? Because I think it'll get more views here. I really don't care about people CnCing it, I just want people to read it.

Oh yeah, and it's inspired by Loveless from CC. Title is Endless (lul ya im original 4sur) and the whole 'Act' thing is pointless.
