Joslyn Taylor Jones
DAY: 64 - 3/4 | DATE: November 25th, 2013 [Monday] | LOCATION: Outside of Hotel in Stanley, Falkland Island

The day before had been absolutely horrible. She had been crying over the loss of Hay Sun and the kidnapping of a few others ever since. She was an absolute train wreck of emotions at the moment. Joslyn was depressed over the loss of another person, frightened by the demons that had attacked, anxious to leave and find safety, and incredibly worried about the safety of Hana and the others who had been kidnapped. Everything was happening so quickly and it was all too much for her. She just wanted this whole thing to be over with so that more people wouldn't have to suffer. All of the pain and suffering was breaking her fragile, little heart.

After being cooped up in one of the hotel rooms for a while, she decided to go outside and see what it was like out. To her relief, it didn't seem like there was anything dangerous roaming about. She wandered outside and noticed that Leon had been sitting on the ground, twirling his finger in the dirt where Hay Sun was burned. The way he looked, dragging his finger through the ground like that, reminded her of the day Hana told her that they would be escaping. How she herself, prior to her red-haired friend's arrival, had just been twirling her finger around the grass.

"God, Ariel must be really broken up about losing Uriel like that." The angel noted as they both watched him from a distance.

    "He must've really loved her."

"That is a bit of an understatement," Azazel let out. "His attachment to Uriel borders on obssession."

"I can't really say I understand that," the pale-skinned girl started. "but I can understand that he's hurting right now." Hesitantly, she started to make her way over to the downtrodden angel and knelt beside him. "Hey, L-Leon. How are you h-h-holding up?"

Lu licked her lips as she stood in the darkness. She clapped her hands together and balls of fire glowed from the walls of the pyramid. Sal's smart mouth opened up to speak to her. He was almost as bad as Alistair. "My my, Temeluchus, we have to stop being in situations like these. Something vile cooked up for us once more I suppose?"

She knelt down on one knee and lifted chin with her pointer finger. Lu pressed her lips together and smiled darkly at the boy. "You could say that Pet. I say it's about time we get started, don't you?" Her blue eye shifted to Henrik looking disgruntled as always. She stepped away from Sal and cocked her head to the side, clapping her hands together enthusiastically. "Henrik dear, did you miss me? You look like it. How's your arm?" Lu ran her thumb over his cheek, to Henrik's disapproval. She wet her lips and rose to her feet.

The other one -- his name was slipping from memory -- remained silent beside Sal, glowering up at her from his spot on the floor. "Oh come on now. You all look so grump, save for Sal, when you should be happy. You have an important role to play as sacrifices. You should be rejoicing knowing that this is all almost over for you. Shall we get started?" She flicked her wrist and mist engulfed them. When it cleared, they were stationed at the top of the pyramid. Alistair was close by, though she paid him little attention. "Now then, I say it's time for the fun part to begin. Who wants to go first, hm?"

The sound of the door opening put Cal on high alert. As soon as she could see Soren entering the room with a beaten Caius hanging from his arm, she was on her feet. Soren carried the other boy over to his bed, laying him down. Cal rushed to his side, her heart visibly breaking in her chest. Caius looked awful. He should never have gone to his father, but she wouldn't tell him that. It was his decision to make, albeit, a bad one. "Regulus...got away. I had to bring him back." Him being Caius. Cal knelt down beside him and started to fiddle with some of the wounds on his body. She didn't really no much about medicine, but would do her best to try. Soren shook his head and looked between Cal and Anna. Lowering his voice, he said: "Caius attacked me too, but I don't think it was his fault."

"What?! Are you sure...? Are you okay?" asked Anna.

Soren nodded for both questions and rubbed his forehead. "I should have been there sooner." He paused before adding, "Mali's getting some things from the operating room." He turned to her and she just shook her head at him.

"Regulus did something to Caius. It's not his fault and it's most certainly not yours either. Had you been there sooner would probably have made little difference. He chose to confront his father. It was something that he would have to do eventually, sadly the outcome wasn't ideal." She bit her lower lip with concern. Cal got up to retrieve something to wipe away at some of the blood on Caius's body. She started clean him up when Mali came sauntering into the room.

"Here," her sister tossed a wad of bandages and some salve.

Cal scrambled to grab everything and cocked an annoyed brow. "That's it?"

"Hey, I don't know what an injured person needs. I don't get hurt while fighting."

LEON WAS INTENTLY FOCUSED ON THE DIRT ON THE GROUND. HE DIDN'T HEAR THE APPROACH OF THE YOUNG ANGEL UNTIL SHE WAS RIGHT BESIDE HIM. "Hey, L-Leon. How are you h-h-holding up?" SHE ASKED HIM.

HE LIFTED HIS HEAD. HIS USUAL GOLDEN EYES WERE DULL AND LIFELESS. HE GAVE THE GIRL A SMALL NOD WITH A HEAVY SIGH. "HI JOSLYN, AZAZEL." LEON LOWERED HIS GAZE AND DUG HIS FINGERS INTO THE DIRT, BRUSHING OFF HER QUESTION. "JOSLYN, COULD YOU DO ME A FAVOR?" HE ASKED SOLEMNLY. "COULD YOU TRY TO FIND ME A SMALL BOTTLE OF SOME KIND IN THE HOTEL. WE NEED TO LEAVE, BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE WITHOUT URIEL."

He heard voices and felt his body being tended to. Azrael was usually the one who would tend to his wounds, but now that the angel of death was not with them those that did not have real medical experience were now tending to him. His eyes were dull as he stared up at the ceiling. His eyes were red from all the tears that were shed and though he felt like shedding some more his body would not let him shed anymore. He heard them speak but he did not address them. He felt ashamed and undeserving of their generosity. It was his choice to speak to his father and here they were cleaning up his mess. He just wanted them to leave his wounds, to let them bleed out and get out of their lives...maybe it would do them a favor.

"hahah...oh Darren, he's right you really do have a vagina" Alistair said laughing silently as he shook his head and stared at the video on his phone. He had work involving his phone and after doing the job his mistress gave him he took a break and decided to play on his phone a bit. Sitting down he noticed suddenly his mistress appear with some quite familiar face "oh? how interesting" Alistair said with a smile placing away his phone as he rose to his feet and walked up to the scene crossing his arms. Temeluchas was having loads of fun so he decided to remain quite and let her have her fun.

Henrik narrowed his eyes at the woman, looking around to stare at their surroundings. Sacrifices? Pagan gods didn't even exist. Lu was going to kill them over nothing. Surely Lucifer couldn't care for sacrifices. Henrik opened his mouth but he was not the one to speak to the Dark Angel.

"Long time, no see." His eyes glanced over at Alistair. "I see you've replaced me with a new running buddy. Angel of Death, huh? I wouldn't say that's too much of a downgrade, but he's hardly-" He sniffed the air and coughed in disgust. "Slutting it up with him, have you? Ugh, I smell him all over you." He rolled his eyes. "Come, Lu, just because you nabbed Henrik's children doesn't mean I hold a grudge against you." He tugged at the bonds of mist like they were a minor annoyance.

"Old friends should stick together." Lei was not the type to bargain, nothing in his voice sounded desperate. Instead, he was entirely calm, even slightly amused, by the situation.

Soren stayed near Cal and Caius as she patched the boy up, avoiding any eye contact with the blonde. He stared over at Mali, still angry over her damn attitude. It took a good deal of self-control to keep himself from picking a fight with her. If Cal hadn't been there, he would have thrown the first punch. Then there was Regulus, the man responsible for this mess. Soren clenched his fist and cursed under his breath. He couldn't even kill the man in that little fight. As he thought over the possibility of going after him, Soren rejected the plan immediately. Even if he did finish off Regulus, that wouldn't undo the damage he had already wrought. The sooner they got out of this place, the better.

"Anna, get some blankets. If it's cold where we're going we can't have anyone freezing. His sister nodded and left Caius's bedside, giving a cold glare to Mali. "We still have to leave tonight, Cal. I don't know what Regulus is up to and we can't stick around to find out." He took out a shard of glass that he had kept with him from the mirror room. He wanted to use it to find a place for them to go to. Soren looked over at Caius, putting the shard away, before aiding Cal with patching him up though he really only followed Cal's lead.

The answer to her question surprisingly came from Henrik, or more specifically, Araquiel. "Long time, no see." he greeted.

Lu pursed her lips and narrowed her brown eyebrow at him. "You could say that Araquiel." He had yet to actually speak to her in all the times she had encountered Henrik. This was a slight shock, but not enough to deter her.

"I see you've replaced me with a new running buddy. Angel of Death, huh? I wouldn't say that's too much of a downgrade, but he's hardly-" He sniffed the air and coughed in disgust. "Slutting it up with him, have you? Ugh, I smell him all over you."

She yawned in boredom. "Sounds like somebody is jealous. Not that I blame you."

He rolled his eyes. "Come, Lu, just because you nabbed Henrik's children doesn't mean I hold a grudge against you. Old friends should stick together."

The corners of her eyes pinched together as she smiled down at the fellow angel in her binds. Lu knelt back down in front of him and clapped her hands on his cheeks, pulling Henrik's face closer to her own. "Cute. It's almost laughable how you think that might work on me. While you may not actually hold a grudge against me Araquiel, I offered you the opportunity for an alliance when we first met, did I not? Because I clearly remember doing so. You let little ol' Henrik turn me down. Why on earth would I believe that the moment I release you, you wouldn't let him turn his back on me? I am well aware of his little toys he has on him right now. If I accept your offer of 'sticking together' as you put it, and let you go, he'll just try stabbing me with his knife and then what? I won't have anyone to do this for me, like I've done for Harbonah."

Lu pulled out the compact mirror with Spirit - Harbonah inside.

Cal had started to clean Caius up better and smear the salve over his wounds, along with bandaging him up. She really didn't know much about healing people. Alistair was a doctor. If he were here, he could help Caius, unfortunately, he left with Lu. Cal did what she could for the time being.

"Anna, get some blankets. If it's cold where we're going we can't have anyone freezing. His sister nodded and left Caius's bedside, giving a cold glare to Mali. "We still have to leave tonight, Cal. I don't know what Regulus is up to and we can't stick around to find out." Soren pulled out a shard of glass and she eyed it curiously. He looked at it for a minute before putting it away and assisting her.

"Soren, Caius isn't in any condition for this kind of travel. None of us have ever even used the mist to create portals. It's going to take all of our energy and if we all pass out, who's going to help Caius? Not to mention, we need to have a specific person or destination in mind. The only one that has been to Midworld is Mali and I doubt you want to portal up to Lu and Alistair."

Mali leaned on her sister's head and poked Caius in the chest. "I'm not going, so good luck on that front."

"Mali! You can't just stay here."

Her sister clicked her tongue to the roof of her mouth and prodded at Caius's bleeding chest some more. "Like I told Boyfriend 1, I have no reason to leave. I like it here and you don't know what it's like up there. I don't see a reason to go back. Everything I need is already here."

Leon lifted his head and his usual golden eyes were dull and lifeless. Staring at them told her everything about how he was feeling and it tore at her. "HI JOSLYN, AZAZEL." He lowered his gaze and dug his fingers into the dirt, brushing off her question. "JOSLYN, COULD YOU DO ME A FAVOR?" He asked solemnly. "COULD YOU TRY TO FIND ME A SMALL BOTTLE OF SOME KIND IN THE HOTEL. WE NEED TO LEAVE, BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE WITHOUT URIEL."

The white-haired teenager was confused by what he was saying, but seeing how he was at the moment, she didn't want to object to it. "Yeah, s-sure," she said in a resigned manner. She stood up and made her way into the destroyed hotel in search of anything that could be used as a container.

She rummaged around and eventually found an empty coffee can in the kitchen that looked good to use. With coffee can in hand, she made her way back outside to where Leon had been. It seemed like he hadn't moved an inch ever since she went off searching. The girl held it out to the morose man sitting on the ground. "Here, maybe t-this will do."

Sal was busy dangling around, still, as Temeluchus continued to explain what was going down here. They were to be used as sacrifices, eh? That certainly sounded like something that was quite interesting. Temeluchus was also looking for a volunteer first to be the sacrifice here. He was still quite curious as to what this was going to entail, but then Henrik, or as Zachariel pointed out, Araquiel, started talking to the Angel of Torment. The two apparently had some old partnership thing that happened way in the past, but it all seemed like ancient history. He wasn't entirely sure what Araquiel was planning with this, since he didn't sound desperate, but the plan didn't make much sense given Temeluchus's current mental state and her...well not being a complete and total fool.

At the very end she pulled out some weird mirror glass thing, and referred to someone named Harbonah...who exactly was Harbonah?

"Another of the Dark Angels, Angel of Annihilation."

    'And the glass mirror?'

    "I have no idea."

Well that inspired confidence in him. Neither he nor Zachariel had any idea what had happened to this dark angel, and what significance this mirror actually had to do with anything at the moment but he said, "now come on, I'm sure one of us could do it for you." While this seemed like a joke, Sal wasn't actually joking about it. If the opportunity arose, they could theoretically do whatever it was to do...maybe. They obviously wouldn't do it, but there was a less than five percent chance that they could. He then looked at Doctor Grey and said, "oh, why hello there good doctor, funny that we have to meet up in the same circumstances as last time as well. I'm quite curious as to your role this time and look forward to seeing it." Turning his attention back to the Angel of Torment, he said, "so, is there anything in particular you are sacrificing for? Or is it just for the fun of it?"

"I think I could do it myself. Even if I can't, I wouldn't need to borrow much from anyone else. I'm plenty strong." Even so, Cal had a point. Traveling that great of a distance could still kill Caius. Soren eyed Mali's finger as she continued to prod the boy's injury until he finally lost his patience and grabbed her hand and growled at the girl. "I know she's your sister, Cal, but I'm having a hard time right now keeping myself from breaking her hand." If it wasn't for that, Soren would have gotten violent long ago.

"Go to your bed, sit down, and stay there until we're able to leave." Soren was having none of Mali's shit. Soren stared hard at the blonde, standing close in front of her and looking down at the shorter nephilim. He released Mali's hand and without breaking eye contact with her, spoke to Cal. "I'll stay up and make sure nothing and no one comes crawling in. I'll keep an eye on Caius. He got hurt on my watch."

"Soren, you should get some sleep t-"

"This isn't up for discussion. I'll wake you up if something comes up." Soren looked over at Caius, hoping they had done enough to save the boy. Even if he was injured, they still couldn't stay there for much longer. He wished he could have done something more for him but healing was not one of his powers and no matter how strong he became he knew he would never be unable to undo the damage others might do to harm those around him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the shard of glass. "It's from the mirror room...I think we could use this to find some place to go to."

A pounding piercing pain hit his chest as Mali's finger continued to repeatedly poke at his chest. His body tensed, but he did not react much to it and stayed in his stoic state. They were planning on leaving, they wanted to get out of here. Soren told him of this but he did not expect it so soon. He wanted to finish things between his father before they left hell.

"you all...don't have to do this..." Caius said softly still staring up at the ceiling. "I don't want to hold you all back...this was all my fault." Caius said closing his eyes "Hell...is where I belong...just leave me..." Caius said. He couldn't say his time against his father was pointless. He learned the truth of himself and though it was not as clear, he still knew the background. Mali was there but he didn't give a damn about her.

Alistair merely gave Heinrik a smile as he listened to the angel residing in the man bargain with Lu. His mistress was having quite the enjoyable time with all this and he was quite curious about what she was doing. She spoke of gods but he knew better. She was doing this for sheer pleasure and he was just playing her little games.

He listened to the one named Salvatore speak and he smirked as he crossed his arms and stared downwards at the fallen on the ground "Ah, I do wonder this myself" Alistair said as he stared over at Lu and smiled as he waited for her response. It seemed the two of them actually thought the same thing, they were quite alike and it was quite refreshing to find somebody that didn't have a stick up their anus.

"Yeah, s-sure," JOSLYN REPLIED. LEON THANKED HER QUIETLY AS SHE DISAPPEARED BACK INTO THE HOTEL. IT TOOK SOME TIME FOR HER TO RETURN, AND DURING SO, HE DID NOT MOVE. HIS MIND WAS A BLANK CANVAS AND HIS HANDS MOVED IDLY THROUGH THE SAND. LEON BARELY HEARD JOSLYN'S EVENTUAL RETURN. SHE HELD OUT A COFFEE CAN. "Here, maybe t-this will do."

HE SIGHED AND ACCEPTED THE CAN. "IT WILL DO FOR NOW. THANK YOU." LEON SCOOPED UP A HANDFUL OF ASH AND DIRT MIXTURE, POURING IT INTO THE CAN. HE MURMURED A BLESSING AS THE LAST OF IT SLIPPED THROUGH HIS FINGERS AND ROSE TO HIS FEET, DUSTING HIMSELF OFF. LEON PAT THE TOP OF JOSLYN'S HEAD AND LOOKED AROUND AIMLESSLY. "IT'S TIME FOR US TO GO."

IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO GATHER THE OTHERS AND HEAD FOR THE PLANE. EVERYONE SEEMED IN A RATHER SUBDUED MOOD. THIS NO DOUBT WAS CAUSED BY YESTERDAY'S EVENTS. THEY NEEDED TO KEEP MOVING. THE COMPASS WOULD GUIDE THEM BACK TO THE OTHERS, ALONG WITH HELPING THEM FIND THOSE THAT WERE YET TO BE RECRUITED. THEY WOULDN'T SPLIT UP UNTIL THEY HAD FULLY REGROUPED. RAZIEL STILL WAS UNAWARE OF WHAT HAPPENED TO URIEL, ALTHOUGH, LEON DIDN'T DOUBT THAT THE ANGEL OF MYSTERIES ALREADY KNEW. RAZIEL HAD A WAY OF JUST KNOWING.

HE CURLED UP IN THE SEAT ON THE PLANE, STARING ABSENTLY OUT THE WINDOW. THE COFFEE CAN SAT CLUTCHED IN HIS HAND AND HIS EYELIDS WERE HEAVY. LEON DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE ELSE ONCE ON THE PLANE. HE WAS LEFT TO HIS OWN DEVICES, AND HE PREFERRED IT THAT WAY. IT WAS HARD TO SLEEP UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT SOMEHOW HE MANAGED.

Lu sighed in annoyance. "I've grown bored of you all already." She pressed her pointer finger to the foreheads of each of them, reenacting the sleeping spell. She had lost all motivation listening to them drone on and on. Tomorrow. Tomorrow they would be sacrificed for sure. Then, she would be even more powerful than Lucifer and Leviathan put together.

Cal shook her head. She was getting fed up with all of them -- Mali and Soren's bickering, Caius's self - pity. "Caius, that's enough. We're not going to leave you here. You don't belong here, no matter what your father did to you. Mali, you're not staying. You're coming with us whether you like it or not. You're the only one that has been to the surface and can successfully guide us anywhere. Soren --" she looked at him crossly, "You're going to get rest and I'll stay up with Caius. This is going to suck up every ounce of energy you've got, which means you need to rest, lest it kill you."

She rose to her feet, pushing everyone to their respective beds. Cal wasn't taking no for an answer. "I don't want to hear another word out of anyone." She looked to each of their beds with fire in her eyes, before taking a seat on the edge of Caius's. Cal cleaned up the mess on his bed and continued to wipe away any remnants of his earlier fight from his body. She gave him a look that said, 'I dare you to speak.'

He sighed as he took the can. "IT WILL DO FOR NOW. THANK YOU." Leon scooped up what ever of the ashes was left on the ground and placed it into the coffee can. After finishing up, he stood up and dusted himself off. He pat the girl on the head as he looked around aimlessly. "IT'S TIME FOR US TO GO."

Soon, everyone got up and gathered whatever it was they had with them before heading to a plane. Everyone inside was in a rather solemn mood, and with good reason. After what just happened, it would take a heartless monster to continue on as if nothing had changed. Everything had changed, and in a big bad way. She reclined in her seat as she vacantly stared out of the window. There was no telling who else would die in the group. In fact, there wasn't a guarantee that any of them would survive. Still, a very dim ray of hope remained that they would. A dim ray that continued to weaken with each passing day. Eventually, with these heavy thoughts whizzing about her mind, she fell asleep.

Alistair crossed his arms and let out a sigh as he shook his head "man...that was dull...guess I'll see how things go tomorrow" Alistair said. Lazily he decided to lay on the top of the pyramid and enjoy the outdoors before finally falling asleep. Two days had passed since he left hell and Alistair wondered how long it would take before his little curse would take effect.

Caius was quite taken back from the sudden change in attitude in Cal. There was nothing he really could do with the lack of energy he felt and he shifted his head to look at Cal. He couldn't say anything and though her stare was scary and one that told him not to say anything there was something he still had to say regardless of how she looked at him. "Thank...you..." Caius said quietly as he finally passed out.

Most of the day for Logan was spent in his room in silence. After the events of the previous day, he wasn't in his usual mood. It didn't even matter how much he tried to put on his usual personality or even up it to a tough guy act, it still didn't change the fact that one of them had died. While it was true that he barely talked to her, Hay-Sun was one of the last people he would expect to be killed. His solitude was broken when everyone gathered and headed towards the the plane. He found himself a place to sit and just stared out the window until he fell asleep.

    DAY 65
    Tuesday, November 26, 2013

After a long yawn, Soren sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes before looking at Cal. He had never expected her to act so bossy last night. The way she looked at him was...well, he couldn't explain it. Just before they slept, Anna asked if Soren liked it, but Soren only denied this. He stretched out his arms and rubbed his shoulder, blinking a few times as he tried to remember a dream he had that night. When the memory didn't come he simply stopped trying figuring that it could not have been anything important. Nothing ever good came out of his dreams anyways. Just a mess of voices he could do without hearing.

He pulled himself out of bed and walked over towards Cal, giving the girl a slight nudge. "Hey." He spoke in a whisper, kneeling beside her. He hoped she wouldn't be upset at him for waking up early as it was a force of habit by now. "You were pretty pushy last night." Soren smiled faintly as he said it. "You're scarier than any demon when you want to be. I...I like that." He turned his attention towards Caius.

"Is he alright?" His eyes went back to Cal, thinking over what had been said last night. She was right to have lost her temper at them. "I'm glad you're here. I was being stupid. Even after all this training I shouldn't be trying to do everything by myself...right? I just want to keep everyone safe. Caius, my sister..." There was a moment's hesitation but he added in, "Even Mali, I guess...And you. That's why I've been trying to get stronger." Once more, Soren looked to Caius. All that training and that's what he had to show for it. A boy near death and no place to go.

His eyelids began to twitch as they slowly opened up and greeted his eyes with the bright light of the sun. With a groan Alistair just raised his hand and covered the rays of the sun as he slowly began to open his eyes. With a yawn he began to rise to his feet a rub his eyes "well..that wasn't too bad..." Alistair said pulling out his phone as he glance down at a new text. A reply was sent and he placed the phone away.

"ah...how dull...such is the life of a tool" Alistair said taking a seat on the stairway as he stared up at the clouds and tried to make out the shape "ummm that looks like...a knife...oh! that one looks like an axe! hey pretty cool sword shaped cloud there...wow that spear looks cool" Alistair said resting his back against the stairway "Am I really this bored?" Alistair said with a sigh shaking his head. "goddamn I really feel like a playful dog that's been ignored by its owner...its terrible" Alistair said leaning his head back as he stared up at the clouds again

Cal had eventually passed out in the night beside Caius. She was curled up in a rather uncomfortable position at the edge of his bed, where she had been keeping watch and tending to him periodically. Her muscles were stiff and her neck sore. There was a nudge and she groaned while waking up.

"Hey." came Soren's voice. She sat up with sleepy eyes and blinked a few times as he knelt down beside her. He spoke in a whisper, "You were pretty pushy last night." Soren smiled faintly as he said it. "You're scarier than any demon when you want to be. I...I like that."

"Dork ..." she muttered, giving him a nudge to the shoulder.

He turned his attention towards Caius. "Is he alright?"

Cal nodded her head once. "He will be. We're quick healers. With some more rest, he'll be just fine."

"I'm glad you're here. I was being stupid. Even after all this training I shouldn't be trying to do everything by myself...right? I just want to keep everyone safe. Caius, my sister..." There was a moment's hesitation but he added in, "Even Mali, I guess...And you. That's why I've been trying to get stronger."

She rested a hand on his shoulder and rose to her feet. "We're a team Soren. You don't have to try so hard. We're all here to help each other. We're a family, right? That's what families do." Cal smiled down at him and gave the boy a small pat on the cheek before heading to her side of the room to change. She was still wearing her clothes from yesterday which were now filthy with blood.

Round Two. No more distractions. Lu stepped out onto the top of the pyramid with four bodies laying at her feet. Her blue eye fell on Alistair and she glowered at the man. She kicked at the sleeping figures with her feet until they made a diamond shape, with her in the center. Lu licked her upper lip and the nails on her fingers grew long and sharp. It was time. She knelt down and lifted the right palm of each of them, one after another, cutting a sharp line across the palm; deep enough to bleed. Lu resisted the urge to drink some of it, but the scent was intoxicating. She smeared their bloody hands against the stone floor of the pyramid, connecting the streaks of blood from one person to the next. It was significantly easier when she had less smart mouths to deal with.

"Alistair," she snapped, "Make yourself useful. I'm hungry and they are becoming a distraction." It was the truth. She hadn't had anything to eat in awhile and the combined smell of blood from each of them was getting to her head.

There was a stirring from that one she couldn't remember the name of -- Dumah's host -- as he moaned from pain. Lu sent her foot across his face and with a solid thump, his body went still once more.

ARGENTINA. THAT WAS WHERE THE COMPASS SEEMED TO POINT THEM. LEON KEPT THE COFFEE CAN CLOSE AT HAND, EVEN AFTER THEY UNPACKED AT THE HOTEL. THEY REALLY SEEMED TO LUCK OUT WITH THIS ONE. ACCORDING TO JOSLYN, THE COMPASS POINTED THEM RIGHT TO A HOTEL AND ITS UNIQUE RECEPTIONIST. HE HADN'T BEEN ALONG FOR ANY OTHER RECRUITINGS, BUT FROM WHAT HE HAD BEEN TOLD, THEY RARELY HAD IT THIS EASY. WHAT WERE THE ODDS THAT THEY WOULD FIND A FALLEN IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY?

    HE SIGHED.

LEON SAT ALONE AT A SMALL TABLE IN THE LOBBY WITH A NEWSPAPER IN FRONT OF HIM. HE WAS TRYING TO LOOK INCONSPICUOUS. GRANTED, BEING A GUEST AT THE HOTEL ENTITLED HIM TO BE ABLE TO LOUNGE IN THE LOBBY ALL HE WANTED, BUT HE DIDN'T WANT THE RECEPTIONIST ALEJANDRA TO THINK HIS ONLY REASON FOR BEING DOWN THERE WAS TO GAWK. HE HAD BETTER THINGS THAN THAT. PLUS, SHE WASN'T HIS TYPE ANYWAY.

HE SIGHED AGAIN, PULLING OUT THE CAN.

HIS THUMB RAN OVER THE COFFEE LABEL, SMEARING AWAY A THIN LAYER OF DIRT. THEY ALL KNEW WHO THEY WERE SEARCHING FOR THIS TIME, AND HAD PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES TO APPROACH HER ABOUT IT. ONE OF THE OTHERS COULD SPEAK TO HER -- VINCENT MAYBE? HE SEEMED TO LIKE TALKING TO GIRLS -- WHILE GUILT AND PAIN ATE AWAY AT HIM SOME MORE.

As he continued on and stared up at the sky, the sound of others caught his attention and Alistair glanced over at the top of the pyramid. It seemed Lu had finally awoken and this pleased Alistair as he would get to see his mistress and whatever she had planned. She was doing something and soon enough she barked orders at him.

"Right right, on my way" Alistair said rising to his feet. It just wasn't a good start to the day unless it involved some form of bossiness from Lu. As he walked up and cut down his arm he noticed why exactly the others were a distraction. He wanted to investigate the scene a bit more, but feeding his mistress came first. Raising his cut arm he left he left it for Lu to enjoy.

There was a whispering noise that was caught by Caius and the boy's body immediately began to twitch, having slowly begun to awaken. The pain was still there, but his mind was more clear then the last time. The events of the last day were still vivid in his mind and chaos ran through his mind. Just how long until his mind would shatter? He was a ticking time bomb and soon he would lose it all. He didn't know what he was doing, he merely rose up from his bed slowly and tried to stand, attempting to go somewhere even he didn't know

Finding Cal asleep gave him the urge to tease her about it but as soon as she woke his mind wandered off to other, less childish, things. Soren's eyes followed Cal as she vanished to go change. He rubbed his cheek where she had touched him and smiled, content with knowing he was not alone. After standing up Soren stretched out his arms and rolled his shoulders to shake off his want to go back to sleep. Once Caius felt better it would be time for them to get out of there. Just as Soren began to reach into his pocket to pull out the mirror shard the boy rose out of bed slowly.

Raising an eyebrow, Soren pushed on Caius's shoulder to keep him on his bed. "Relax. You shouldn't be up. By the time we all get ready I'm sure you'll be well enough to travel." Even though the boy was adamant about getting up, Soren was glad he was well enough to try. At least this meant they would not have to wait another day to travel.

Sal awoke to nothing too unfamiliar. Honestly he was just still hanging about, still completely unable to do anything. In fact, most things from yesterday were basically still the same from last night. So Sal was still curious as to what was actually be done here. He looked around to see Kai with a slightly pained, yet mostly unconscious, expression on his face. Near him was the tormentor herself alongside her grim reaper sidekick...Sidekick was probably the wrong term, but that wasn't entirely important at the moment.

After getting his senses fully functioning after waking up, he noticed that there was something off about one of his hands. It felt much more sensitive than the other one, and it apparently had every right to be. Seeing his hand was bleeding made him wonder why exactly it was. Probably something one of the two did while he was asleep involving this whole sacrifice thing.

Anyway, not doing anything wasn't going to get anything done, and so Sal said in a cheery voice,
"good morning there dark angels, how has it been treating you so far?" He figured being polite with these dark angels would get him...well, it probably wouldn't get him any farther than if he was Henrik. But nevertheless, being polite was always the right thing to do, no matter who you were talking with.
