Well then you should probably read it if you want to make a rebuttal.
And how else would they make the villains exciting? Oh I dunno, by making them interesting characters with fleshed out and vibrant personality's and maybe an interesting backstory while they're at it.
The Joker from Batman isn't the strongest villain ever, hell he doesn't even have any powers; but people love him because he's an interesting character who's full of life.
If the only way to make your characters exciting is by making them stronger then the last one then you're not doing a very good job at writing characters.

    Would have been boring?
Why Bleach would have been excellent if it ended after the Soul society arc

Series starts out with a young teenager who's gifted with the ability to see spirits and whatnot. One day a malevolent spirit threatens to kill his loved one and must be fended off by a "soul reaper"; a being sent purify souls gone astray. Incapable of defeating the beat alone, the soul reaper lends her power to the young boy who gains powers of his own and destroys the beast. Now the boy must act as a soul reaper while the other one regains her strength, he will have to face evil spirits of all kinds and encounter things from an entirely different plain of existence.

Now doesn't this sound like a great premise? Every episode Ichigo would fight a new hollow, learn his/her back story, who they were, how they died, why they became a hollow. As the series goes on a plot would develop involving more soul reapers and their plan to kill Rukia. Ichigo with the help of his new companions goes to save Rukia from the Soul society, while in the Soul society each of his friends overcome any emotional trauma they may have and unlock new found powers, ultimately ending with Ichigo achieving Bankai and facing off against one of the strongest captains. Ichigo defeats the captain, saves Rukia and goes home.
    THE
    END

THIS! Is what Bleach could have been, a timeless classic about a teenager and his friends overcoming seemingly impossible odds to save their beloved friend. Nothing to DEEP and pretentious, nothing to overly complicated, just a good old fun fashioned adventure.

Now Bleach is just filled with villain after villain all stronger then the last. There's really no point in calling a character "the strongest being in existence" because the next bad guy is gonna be "the even MORE stronger being in existence". I think what Bleach is guilty of the most is forgotten characters and concepts. Remember Yoruichi? The one who helped Ichigo achieve his bankai state, the thing he abuses to this day? Remember that time she did something relevant after the Soul society arc? Me neither.
Remember HELL!? the place seemingly crawling with evil of all kinds? Remember when they did ANYTHING with that? Oh wait, they didn't.

So yeah, Bleach has pretty much gone down the shitter. It's sad because of how much potential it had.

    Yes, Nick apparently requested more.
Though that may or may not be a good thing, executive meddling isn't exactly famous for producing good results.

I disagree with EVERYTHING in this statement.
Final Fantasy XIII sacrificed too much that was in previous Final Fantasies for the sake of "story" that ultimately ended up making it lackluster.
The most obvious one would the lack of a memorable villain. When someone says the bad guy in Final Fantasy IX you think Kuja, when someone says the bad guy in Final Fantasy X you say Seymour but when someone says the bad guy in Final Fantasy XIII what do you say? I'm more then halfway through the game and I have yet to see any sight of anyone or any group that can be seen as an actual villain, Mecha Pope and his lackeys died a good 3 seconds after you met them.

But perhaps they're not supposed to be a bad guy, maybe it's just supposed to be trials and tribulations in which case I'm alright with that, I don't mind Final Fantasy doing something different. But the other sacrifices are completely uncalled for. No world map or ability to go back to previous areas is stupid and makes the game feel less like an RPG or more like a "point A to point B". The only place that even resembles a world map filled with unexplored opportunities is the big field in Cocoon that you get to HALF WAY THROUGH THE GAME! And after a certain point you can't get back. Remember all those XBOX HUEG beast you saw? All those pathways you could take to one destination? Only to go back and take another destination just to see what other treasures you could find? Imagine if the whole game was like that.
Final Fantasy X didn't have a world map but it at least gave you the option halt the story and go anywhere you want for a good while. This is something that was present in FINAL FANTASY I, there's no reason it shouldn't be in XIII

No towns and NPC's, Final Fantasy XIII was filled with beautiful cities and areas that you were vibrant and colorful. You also couldn't stray from the path AT ALL, in Final Fantasy VII even before you leave Midgar, you have an opportunity to talk the the civilians of the slums and get an insight on their lives, you might even get an extra item or two. You had a reason to talk to everyone and explore every nook and cranny. No towns is probably the greatest failure of Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy has always been filled with those large towns that are filled with life. Shop's, NPC's, sidequest, tones of diversions that are common in Final Fantasy. XIII had none of this, all the shops were in Savepoints and all the "towns" were all set on rails.

And don't get me started on the "MASH X BUTTON TO WIN" battle system. The game actually OFFERS to automatically find the best attacks that you have for the situation and automatically use them for you.

Lack of towns and lack of ANYTHING from previous Final Fantasy games let alone previous JRPG's in general ruins any sense of immersion that you may have, it's like they show you this awesome Pseudo futuristic world but they give you very few opportunities to ever explore it outside of what the main plot wants you to.
So yes I can safely say that compared to EVERY other Final Fantasy (except for XI and XIV due to them being MMO's) Final Fantasy XIII lands it's place as the worst one.

Considering how long they have had to make the game, what I'm being promised and the travesty that Final Fantasy XIV was. Yes my expectations will be pretty damn high.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and conclude that you're only pretending to be a ******.

Because from the descriptions of his character so far he sounds like a nice guy who pretends to be a cold hearted badass in order to make up for insecurities but is actually a shy guy who's terrible with women. He reminds me of me when I was a teenager.
Plus I like how they redesigned him to make him look less like a bishounen

By your logic, you could replace every character from Final Fantasy XIII with dogs and you think the story would be the same.
The story of Final Fantasy XIII revolves around the characters, their motivations and how they evolve as characters. I think you missed the entire point of the Eidolan fight's, each character had a roadblock that was preventing them from advancing, they wanted to lie down and give up and the Eidolan's came and snapped them out of it.

His irrational hatred of Snow was ****ing stupid. "MY MOM WILLINGLY JOINED HIS GANG AND SHE DIED! THUS IT IS HIS FAULT"
And his Eidolan seemed completely out of the blue, he's all but settled on his previous problems and then all of a sudden "LOL EMOTIONAL CONFLICT! HERE COMES DAREDEVIL!"

    Ummmmmm
The characters are what carry you through the story. They're the FOCUS of the story. The story would not be there if
if a piece of fiction has bad characters then it becomes almostunbearable to go through the story.

Imagine if you visited space, but the person who was touring you through space was an annoying ******* who constantly bugged you and farted all the time and got drunk every night.
The concept of a tour through space may SOUND cool and may LOOK cool
But the way it was presented when you actually did it was terrible.

I would like to know how YOU manage to ignore the main characters in a story.

They're ARE worse games then Final Fantasy XIII
But I can safely say that Final Fantasy XIII is the WORSE Final Fantasy game.

And Sazh and Fang are STILL the only good characters in the game
Lightning went from being an angry ***** to boring background character. Squall did the stoic introvert character a lot better
Snow's still a "DUUR HUUR! WUR HEROOOS!" idiot
Hope went from whiny to trying too hard
Vanille makes me want to shoot myself every time she opens her mouth.

Fang's midriff give me a raging hardon and Sazh is the only mature adult who knows what he's doing.

I can't wait for Versus, Noctis and his entourage of bros look boos as ****.
Seriously, just look at this mother****er

    I would assume none
PC's can emulate every single console so far, it's no surprise that it can emulate a PS3 and especially a 360.
All they would really need is a Blu ray CD drive to make an ISO from the PS3 games.
