ooc. Posting from my phone. Prepare for a crappy post. Thea was sent away with a pat on the head from Evanora as Mizuki approached to yell at Evanora. Thea hadn't made it far before she heard the yelling and stopped to listen. Mizuki was upset because of her and what she did and took it out on Evanora. She wanted to run up and yell at Mizuki to stop but knew that wasn't smart, not if she exploded. Instead Thea turned and ran the other direction. bursting out of the guild hall doors she was sprinting down the street I teats. She didn't know where she was going or how far she would run, all she knee is that she couldn't be around people and that they would never want her back at the guild. Not after what she had done. It didn't take too long before she found a river side shore and sat down beginning to weep. Flames flared around her to her sobing. Flaring when it was stringer and calming when she was not crying as much. She was sk lost. She didn't know what to do anymore. She didn't have a home, and screwed up her only chance at one. If someone offered her another option they would soon learn why she was on her own and kick her out if she didn't kill them first. She just wanted to go back to how it was before they attacked Sapphire Eclipse. Things were easier then.
In the midst of crying a warm light surrounded Thea that was not her flames and teleported her away, leaving the flames behind making Thea less dangerous to approach. However arriving back home came with the dread and fear that was facing Evanora after everything that had happened. The girl slowly got off the ground, wiping the tears from her face and approaching her head master. Thea stopped in front of Evanora, she promised herself that she wouldn't cry but couldn't hold it back. "Please don't send me away. I am sorry! I didn't mean to hurt all those people. I didn't mean for him to die. I am sorry. Please let me stay... I have no where else to go." Thea began to beg before Evanora. She didn't intend on begging, just seeing what Evanora had to say to her, but the dread took her over and she felt like if she didn't way anything now that she would be sent away and be left with absolutely nothing and no one. Silvia let out a sigh of relief as they returned home. She soon however turned away from the rest of the group and walked off, not really up to dealing with anyone at the moment. She was so tired after the mission, physically and emotionally. There was so much death lately, and now they had a new member of the guild that was a danger to them all. Silvia saw what she had done to Skadi, an injury that would probably scar and she couldn't stop it. Silvia felt bad for Thea because she could tell the girl was terrified of her own power but she also feared her and didn't know what to do. So Silvia curled up in a corner by herself for the time being. She actually agreed, Lucia actually agreed to go on a date with him. That was like winning the lottery for Lucia. Thomas could hardly tell what else was happening around him, just that he had a date. "Don't worry Lucia, I don't care what you wear. Doesn't bother me." He assured her, however it was true that he had never realized her beauty until she transformed, but a date was still a date. Back at the guild hall he ran off to change into a new clean shirt and pants, and have a shower. When he was done that he was off to find Lucia. It didn't take long before he found her talking to a few other people. "Mind if I steal her for a bit?" Thomas asked them looking at Taylor smiling as to say hi. "You can order whatever you want my treat." He told her as he stood at the bar.
Colton remained expressionless as the boy came and sat on the other side of the prison from him and began to talk. Before he said too much Colton heard Mai and gave her a small nod of acknowledgement before turning back to the boy. Colton was not particularly in the mood for talking, not to mention his weak voice and sore throat just made it more annoying. Colton turned to his new tray of food and started to eat the soup before he ever talked. "Colton Sharleton. If you see the things they do... Well you would have nightmares too and be afraid to sleep." Colton didn't look up for his dinner, eating about half his soup and a piece of toast before putting it aside and taking the medication left for him. He didn't fully trust it, but things couldn't get much worse for him. "My advice... Get out while you can. I don't know why you came here, but you don't want to be here." Colton warned before getting a chill up his spine and wrapping himself tighter in his blanket. He was however overly tired and found it nearly impossible to stay awake. He would have to see if there was an escape for the boy tomorrow. Today was too late, but he was healthy and in good condition. Maybe he could get out.... maybe. Those were Coltons last thoughts before he curled up under an extra set of blankets and let sleep take him away, part of him wondering if he would even wake up in the morning to help Shane. During the time that Danni was talking with Ryan, Brendan slipped out for two reasons. One being the peace and quiet, sort of quiet was nice. There were still many thoughts in his brain, just less here. The second reason was to get back to his car and grab a blanket, he had a feeling that it was going to be a long night. He knew that he would have a hard time convincing Danni to leave and he wasn't going to leave the emotionally unstable girl here by herself, or with Ryan that was. With blanket in hand Brendan made his way back inside and prepared himself for the bombardment of thoughts. He was not going to get any sleep himself, but he could live without it. Hopefully the others would however. "Here, I figured you wouldn't want to leave, so in case you fall asleep." Brendan offered the blanket to Danni feeling kind of awkward doing so. He had liked her for a while and was questioning if this made it too obvious. Just thank goodness that she couldn't read his mind right now. "I know it is hard but try to get some rest." He added before taking a seat on a chair and pulling out his phone as a way of keeping himself busy over the long night ahead of him. Hearing Shane tell her that he was all hers Isabella smiled widely. "THAT'S GREAT!" She blurted out loud in excitement. "Don't worry kid I will help you." She told him as Lyle gave her a warning about rattling cages or something or other that she didn't really understand. "Come on Shane lets get you put away for the night, mister boring would be too worried if I put you in with those two but I happen to know another kid that could use a friend!" Isabella said with excitement. Without asking permission she decided that Shane would stay with Carter. Isabella was soon leading Shane away to his new home with Carter. "Well night night!" She said cheerfully as she locked Shane away. "We will get started on the tests tomorrow. Oh and don't do anything funny over night. I will know." She warned before heading to her lab to sleep. She had a home, but she hadn't used it in a month. She lived at the lab pretty much. OOC. Really hope you guys don't mind. Don't have time to make more posts to get Shane somewhere he can stay. Cynthia only half listened to Tobias' story. Killing his own brother, harsh but sounded like it was necessary. Guess it was her turn to tell her story. "Yeah my mom was annoying. Because of her I got bullied a lot, so one night I took a kitchen knife and stabbed her numerous times in her sleep. Nothing flashy. After that dad took me to Raven Sun to train and I have been with them ever since. I think he was trying to keep me out of getting in too big of a mess and look at how that turned out for him.... Did you know he isn't my real dad either?" Cynthia spoke not seeming too concerned over the topic of her killing her own mother. "Anyways it is late, I am going to crash. Feel free to sleep on the couch." Cynthia shut down her computer and walked to her room to sleep. "Well if that is how you are going to be..." Jason emptied some of the rock salt into his hands making sure it was in large chunks. With one large strong hand he held both of Rose's wrists so she couldn't go far or do much. He used his other hand to start rubbing the rock salt in her wounds so the chunks would scrape against the open wound. "I suggest you talk or this will be a long night of this sort of pain or worse. As I said my plan isn't to hurt this friend Jex that you have, only to hurt you if you don't cooperate. And trust me, you will break before I ever will. I know the stubborn iron will of a teenage girl and have overcome it many times. So where is Jex?" Jason said stopping rubbing the salt, but simply holding it in the wound.
Zavion seemed so calm about things. Like he didn't care that they were discovered. Jackie promised not to tell but if others did find out then what? She was freaked out that something else would slip and then everyone would turn on them. Sure her and her brother were part gods but they weren't invincible. Freya decided to stick close to her brother for this world, worried that going off on her own would lead to disaster. Besides after the injuries that Zavion received after the last world, she figured that it was not a wise idea to leave him on his own. "Zavion wait up." Freya called out as she chased after her brother through the dark corridor. This left her wondering what Lexcifur was going to do, especially if Xero showed up again however she didn't have time to worry about that. If Lexcifur didn't follow them then it was his choice and she had to trust that he would be okay on his own. Freya stepped out onto a flying boat. Well this one was a new one for her. "Um, how are we supposed to find the hero when we are on a boat flying through space. No caves in sight?" She asked curious. After Hunter was freed he decided to throw a party, and involuntarily she started to dance and party with him. Damn his RNG'd super powers. She didn't want to party but she was. When that was done and over with she just glared at him. "That doesn't count as the one you owe me." Gwen informed him quickly in a ice cold tone. "Perhaps you can take me to dinner one night and call it even?" Gwen said before she realized what she was saying. What the hell? Why did she want that? Apparently with her power came the side effect of how much self control she had shrunk. Well that was crappy. "Anyways. Same thing as always. Quick search for the hero ending with a creature from the goddess sent then back to the library for another part of the riddle? Lets just hurry up and get this over with why don't we?" Gwen said as she cracked her knuckles and started off to find her way out of the lab. The hero was said to be in a cave, and a lab most certainly wasn't. "I can't believe I am doing this." Xander thought as he followed the overly happy, overly polite moose around. The damn creature would not stop talking and trying to make conversation. Xander was not in the mood for conversation, not after everything that had happened. He just needed to find the damn hero and save Alisia and kill Dane. He was going to kill Dane before Caleb got his hands on him and took it too far, he promised himself that. "Why so grumpy." Carls voice finally broke through Xanders wall of thoughts. "A friend of mine is hurting, being held by a very dangerous man. The person I said I was looking for, I need him to help me save her without putting her in danger. The man always keeps her near, near enough that if I make a move she will die before I can stop it." Xander finally explained hoping that hearing that the moose would shut up. "Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I wish that there was something I could do to help." The moose replied "You are helping enough by showing me these caves." Xander glanced in another cave before they moved on in their search. This was hopeless, he could tell already. Alisia looked away just at the word slave. Every time he said it, it reminded her of how little choice that she had in matters any more. She lost her free will. If she tried to do anything that Dane did not order her to do, or didn't do something that he did order her to do then she would be beat up more. She lived in a state of constant fear. Dane tossing the dagger just centimeters from her feet didn't help her comfort. She knew he was giving it to her to train but he could also easily hurt her with it. She had heard once about people who gave themselves or others scars when they couldn't tattoo something. How easy would it be for him to create a scar on her to mark her as his property. It was a long moment before Alisia wrapped her hand around the handle and plucked the dagger from the ground. She looked at Dane, fear behind her eyes before she stood up to face him. Her hand shook as she held the dagger in her hand. She didn't know the first thing about using weapons of this sort. She took her time to get into position that he ordered her in, he did not look to impressed by that, but Alisia just kept her head down trying to calm her nerves as the training was bout to start. The training went long into the afternoon and early evening, not only training with the weapon but the new found magic. Dane would take breaks, sit down, eat, stuff like that. However Alisia was not allowed these, not when she was so reluctant and shaky still. Dane had yet to beat her though, well not in punishment. When she failed a sparing excersize against him he was not afraid to continue with his blow and hit her with the hilt of his dagger or something, punch her, just as long as it didn't kill her. As it grew dark Alisia was throwing magic and attacking a tree with her dagger repetitively. Her ribs and back ached more than she could describe. And that was over top of the ache through her entire body. She had no time to recover from the beating she took before going into the training. So not only did her injuries remain but she was pretty sure when Dane had kicked her he cracked some ribs and it grew worse through training. Sweat beaded her forehead and a cracked lip left a smear of blood on her face. "Are we done yet?" Alisia asked trying to hold back the tears that she was ready to cry.
Karina turned back to the master as he explained to them how to get out and about the Ink. Well that was interesting. It was probably better that Mickey didn't remember what had happened. He wouldn't remember the soft spot that she had developed because of him, the conversation that they had. Karina did have a reputation to keep up after all and it was difficult with that damn mouse around. Now she just wished that they would all forget what had happened. Glen didn't need to remember her sob story or her scars. She was strong, she didn't need his pity. More so she wished that she could forget about telling him. It was a moment of weakness. This world had broken her slightly and she wanted to leave it behind, forget about it. Karina walked down the stairs and exited the world silently not looking at the others. She didn't pay much mind as Kadia was freaking out about meeting Yen Sid once they got to the other side. She didn't see it as much of a big deal herself, but then again she didn't really know Yen Sid or much about him. He did seem like a nice enough person though, that was good. He helped them as much as he could. It seemed that they were the first group back at Disney town. Not knowing what else do Karina wandered off on her own. Finding a secluded area Karina sat down and pulled out her recorder. "Eric, I hope you are fine. Everything here has been a mess. People have died and I couldn't save them, someone else turned to stone. I don't know how to deal with it. We found our ways into another set of worlds where I met a mouse named Mickey. He did something no one else was able to. He broke through my defenses and made me feel something. I don't like it. I need to stay tough, you don't need to rescue me any more. I don't want to go back to being the small girl that you always had to rescue from father, but it is hard. I don't know what to do anymore. Someone has even seen my scars. I just wish I could talk to you in person instead of these silly recordings. Anyways I should go. Take care- click." The recording ended and Karina just leaned her head against the wall. She just wanted to go back and see her brother, but going back would be suicide. Karina took a few deep breaths and found the strength to go back to her strong self. The one people feared, the one that they didn't offer help to. She didn't want the help.
"Well it wasn't our fault that we failed. I mean we beat the guy and he was dying and then out of f*cking nowhere just shot a sun down at the fricken core of the planet. And we weren't even the only ones there, the stupid super powerful guy didn't even try to help us. And people wonder why I don't trust other people." Galia said crossing her arms before heading to the training area for a ten day stasis there.
Lucia became a magic girl. Wow was she hot. Thomas approached the young woman out of sheer lust. It seemed that he picked the right place to go to, so many pretty girls. "Lucia, uh, wow. You are an angel, how long have you been hiding that beauty. Why would you ever do such a thing? Oh just wow. Um can I buy you a drink when we get back." Thomas offered before noticing Johanna standing there not turned to stone anymore and asking about them. "Oh uh, we are all here, some are outside I think. I don't know. Glad to have you back." Thomas babbled on. "I got us in trouble, and I got us captured! If it wasn't for me then he would be alive!" Thea continued to upset herself more and soon found herself in a full on sprint away from things. Her anger at herself and the mouse king and her sadness was getting the better of her. She needed to find a place where she was alone. Soon enough she found a large clearing with no one around. Thea let out a scream as blue flames streamed out from her in every direction. As her scream simmered so did the flames until they simply surrounded her. Thea fell to her knees crying. It was her fault that they got in trouble, her fault in innocence that they got captured, and she had passed out in the middle of battle and couldn't help. If only she was stronger than she could have survived and helped kill the mouse king faster and saved the nutcracker. Evanora would never let her in the guild now. Why would she want to? Thea had only hurt them and got them in trouble, and only once it was intentional but she was miss lead. But that didn't change what she did. The girls uncontrollable sobs fueled the fire that surrounded her. She just wanted to go home, and not to Magus Ascension. She wanted to go to her real home, with her mom and dad, but they were gone and again it was her fault. She was starting to really hate the magic that she had been given. Silvia quickly grew tired as she tried to free Beucette. She had been holding Ego for a long time now and it was far to heavy for her. On top of that she had been running around a lot and using a lot of her magic. She was worn out to say the least. As she did this Clara pulled the nutcracker out of the fire, He returned to being a human but soon after died. If only she was stronger and had more magic she could have saved him. She was sure of it. She knew enough to help him. But she was more worried about her comrade that was still captured. When she thought she might have finally got the chains free she walked over to Clara. "I-I'm sorry that I couldn't help more. I wanted to. I might have been able to save him but the fight... I am sorry I just don't have the energy for any more magic right now." Silvia said quietly feeling slightly embarrassed about that. She turned away from Clara in time to hear Thea's screams but didn't move towards them. She felt bad for not trying to help the young girl but Silvia was too scared that Thea would accidentally hurt her if she did go, that she stayed away, just kind of standing amongst the crowd with her head down, not looking at anyone.
Colton sat curled up on his bad as he listened to Mai. She promised to fight if he would. He couldn't give up now, for her sake he couldn't give up. Ten years ago when Errol caught him, before he knew what was happening he had accepted his death, and that never changed. He put himself in the mind set that if he died, he died and never really tried to avoid it. However now he felt he had to, not for his own sake but for hers. And she was right, he did need the care, he desperately needed the care. He was deteriorating from the inside out and the Pneumonia was making everything a lot worse. "Mai... I promise to keep fighting, as long as you are living. I will do what I can to protect you." Colton said with a weak smile before coughing again, letting out a small groan after, but Mai seemed to be in more pain then him. If only he could do more to help her. He was prepared to die but he was not prepared to watch someone else die. Colton seemed always cold and uncaring but he was so broken that simply the thought of her in that much pain made it hard to stand. He was closed off to hide himself from the pain, and hide the pain from others. He felt stupid dwelling on his own past and emotional pain in this situation, selfish for doing so. He needed to worry himself with Mai. Soon after their dinners were brought in and Coltons was set beside him for him to enjoy. He was not particularly hungry, not in the slightest actually, however he picked up the spoon to eat it anyways. He had just promised that he would fight to stay alive and that included eating to keep his strength up the best he could. He had hardly taken two bites when Mai began to get sick. Colton could see the blood and jumped out of bed spilling his food all over the ground. However he had jumped up too quick and made himself dizzy. Colton couldn't keep his balance and fell back to his bed, landing on his arm funny and letting out a groan of pain. At least now his arm was set properly so he didn't have to worry about. Once Colton could see again and the dizziness left him he stood back up and slowly walked back to Mai. The robot had left giving him a remote to change things around a bit. He considered changing the scene to something dark, perhaps cold and rainy day. However looking at Mai he chose a field of flowers and the sounds of birds in order to try to make her happy. He then simply stood over the girl listening to her heart monitor beep. After a moment he realized he needed to back away. He wanted to be right there taking care of the girl instead of simply sitting in his own bed but that was not an option. If she caught what he had... there was a good chance she wouldn't survive. He had heard numerous stories of people dying from pneumonia and given her condition it wouldn't be a stretch. Given his condition it wouldn't be a stretch either, but he wasn't going to let it beat him. He couldn't die and leave Mai here like this. Looking away from Mai, Colton backed away towards his own bed, leaving the curtain open on one side so he cold watch to make sure she was okay. Sitting on his bed once more Colton looked forwards towards the exit of his prison. On the other side stood Lyle talking with the boy that Isabella brought with her to wake him up. This boy didn't seem to be with the government, and he definitely wasn't a scientist. So what was he doing here? He seemed so willing to be there. Colton stared at the boy with his bloodshot eyes trying to figure this out. He soon started to cough once more however, but when he was done he fought off the tiredness to try to keep watch for whatever was going to happen between the two of them. Lyle Strain, the monster that had done that to Mai, and the mysterious boy who came on his own will. Of course there were others around too, Lukey, and his lady friend, and of course the nutjob known as Isabella, but none of them interested him, only Lyle and Shane. As Brendan entered the hospital he winced, not at the smell of the hospital which he absolutely hated, but at the voices that flooded his head. He hated not being able to turn his mind reading off. Every thought of everyone in the waiting room, which was a lot, flooded his mind at once, making it incredibly hard to focus and giving him a headache. He tried to not show this discomfort however as he followed Danni to the front desk. It was soon revealed that Jex was in surgery and Danni flipped. Brendan honestly had no idea how to handle the situation, and with all the people around causing his brain to be muttled up it was making things more difficult. Taking a deep breath Brendan touched the ladies hand. "Sorry about her. We were only told that he was hurt and staying here, nothing about surgery, so she is a little stressed." He said before pulling his hand away. "Come on Danni, lets see if anyone else is here." Just as Brendan went to lead her away Ryan arrive. He signaled them to follow away from the front desk. When there was some space he spoke, mostly to Danni. "Look Danni she didn't know anything, trust me. I know everything she knows now. It might come in handy, I know know advanced levels of medicine and life saving as well as karate. But as for what happened to Jex she has no clue. However from the sounds of it Ryan here was there, I am sure he doesn't mind filling us in on the details, right?" Brendan asked for Danni's sake. There was too much in his head to properly figure out what had happened and to give Ryan his full attention. This girl was temperamental but he dealt with worse, he was Cynthia's step father after all. Jason simply stepped back and listened to Rose and Benjamin until Benjamin was finished speaking, then he stepped forward towards the girl. "A little stubborn are we? I can change that. This isn't my first time disciplining a young lady when she doesn't do as she is told. I have an eighteen year old step daughter you know. Her mother died when she was ten, her biological father is unknown, so she has been in my care since." Jason said as he slowly walked towards the girl. He didn't want to intimidate her really, just make sure she knew that he knew what she was doing and her type, and how to deal with them. "Look I don't know if anything has happened to your friend Jex, or if he is okay or not. That is why we need you to tell us where he is. Don't worry, I don't plan to hurt him, I just want to talk to him. You on the other hand, I mean as long as you live, I don't care if I hurt." Jason lifted his claw hand up and examined the metal tips of his choice weapon. "Now my dear do you mind telling me where your dear friend Jex is." Jason asked as he placed a claw against the girls cheek and ran it down to her chin causing a long but not deep cut. He then pulled out a small container of salt from his pocket. "Some might call it old fashion but it works just the same. Why go through expensive equipment. If I wanted you to truly suffer I know how to break every bone in the human body without breaking the skin." The entire time Jason talked his voice wasn't harsh or threatening just emotionless and flat. "If you can make this quick I may need hurt another person here too if he is getting a little too friendly with my daughter. So just tell me. Where is Jex, and then I will leave. Actually if we find him we have no need for you, you can go home." Jason informed her as he tossed the small container of salt in the air waiting for her reply. If this didn't work perhaps Kye's friendship with the government could come in handy, some sort of truth serum would be helpful. Jason lifted his claw hand up and examined the metal tips of his choice weapon.
After everything was said and done and Mizuki spoke up Thea walked over to her. You young girl started to punch at Mizuki's chest repetitively as tears streamed down her face. Normally she would have been so excited that Clara was the Sugar Plum Princess, but right now she was dealing with an over whelming guilt that it was her fault he was dead. "Shut up!" Thea cried in anger. "Don't you care that he is dead? And it is my fault too! Just stop it, stop it, stop it!" Thea was not strong so punching Mizuki with all her might probably didn't hurt her. "This place just lost their Prince and though the spell is broken that doesn't make it any better. So stop being so mean!!" Thea demanded. She didn't look at anyone else, especially not the people of the kingdom. She didn't want to see the cold hate in their eyes directed towards her when she said it was her fault. Thea figured they had all heard and all blamed her. Instead she just stared at Mizuki as she yelled and cried and threw a tantrum, hoping that nothing else would set her off, if it did it could easily become deadly and she didn't want that.
"Take that!" Thea yelled out as she threw one last fire ball at the mouse king. "Change us back!" Thea demanded as well. She gritted her teeth. "I don't like being small!" The young girl complained as she backed off. Tears welled in her eyes as she became frustrated with the situation. She was done with all of this. She just wanted to go home. However even then she wasn't quite sure what that was. She didn't know if she was allowed to stay and what her home would usually be like. She had woken up in a room and that was it. She couldn't go back to her normal room. She hated it. Nothing was certain anymore. Worst of all it was her fault they were in this mess. Thea used Fire Still holding Ego Silvia made one last desperate attempt at the mouse King, running up and slashing at him before running past. She ran to Beucette once again trying to free her once again. "I am sorry I couldn't help more earlier." Silvia whispered as she tried desperately to free her. Silvia just hoped that the battle behind her had ended. Silvia used attack
"They already have given up. I am sure they have. I was just a pain in their butts. Most of them are probably glad I am gone." Colton told her. Due to his abandonment issues he had convinced himself of this fact after a week of being there and no sign of anyone coming for him, no matter how difficult the search would have been. He believed that they just didn't care enough. "One already got shot trying to save me. They won't risk it again. Errol is a kind man but he has so many other students to protect, why would he come for one trouble maker that has nothing to contribute." Colton said as he pushed himself off the ground trying not to start coughing again, that attempt failed. Colton wiped the tears from Mai's face with his cold shaking hand. "Mai you need to live too. Look at you, you aren't fine. Don't let him do this to you. Promise me to fight for your life. Please.... For the first time since I was young I felt like someone truly cared about me and wasn't just putting up with me because I had no where else to go. You can't leave me. If things keep going like this you are going to die." Colton was forced to back off has his tone built and it brought on another coughing fit that made his eyes water. Colton looked back as Lukey yelled something at him from the other side of the glass. Colton wanted to just run up there and attack him, throw something at him, but he couldn't, he was trapped and he was far too sick and dizzy to actually do much. Even the angry glare soon faded as he looked back at Mai and took a few steps back towards his bed. "If I am left here alone... I don't know how long I would last before I self destructed." He said quietly as he took a seat on his bed wrapping his blanket tight around him to try to warm himself up a bit more. The chills were not going away. Isabella just listened as Lyle and Shane talked. She didn't have much to say.... Actually that wasn't true she had lots to say, just none of it was relevant and she didn't want to piss mister mechanic off when he was taking care of her subject. "SEEEEEE I TOLD YOU THIS GUY IS A BORE!" Isabella shouted telepathically at Shane. Then she just talked to both of them. "Why is it that you heard of him and not me???" Isabella complained. She was a well known scientist wasn't she... Wait no she wasn't. She was too special to be known well. The public couldn't handle her awesomeness, it wasn't at all that she had powers, something many people feared. "I killed my mother before she could have any more kids. I mean before that she had her hands full with me and didn't have time to deal with more kids. So in short I am an only child. Does that surprise you?" Cynthia answered not looking away from her computer as she started to click through various links in a google search. "Why do you bother asking? It doesn't change anything about this investigation and what not." She asked him not looking up. "Yeah I have never been a fan of hospitals myself. The smell of them sends shivers up my spine." Brendan admitted as he projected a map of the quickest exit to the maze. He was sure that Danni already knew how to get out easily but it was better for him to see it in front of him. Getting out of the maze he quickly signaled Danni to follow him. "Come on my car is around front, I will take you in that, unless you want to change first. If you do I will just be waiting in the car, make sure it is nice and warm." He told her as he unlocked the doors to his midsized jeep, still in good condition. His internet companies actually paid rather well. He had one that all the money went straight to the Academy, the other gave him some cash for himself. Sitting in the car Brendan wondered how Jex was doing and what exactly had happened. However he didn't feel it was his place to ask at the same time. The situation made him a bit nervous actually. He was usually pretty good with talking to Danni, but talking too much made him nervous and he always worried that he would say too much, so he found he would keep his mouth shut more often than not. "I see." Jason said simply as his mind processed all that was being said. It was interesting and if they got their hands on this Jex boy then they could get their hands on Errol as well, and Errol was one that was at the top of the watch list, someone that Jason wanted to take out personally. Jason pulled out out his claws and strapped them on. "So will you take me to her. I am sure I can get her to spill her guts to me sooner or later." Jason said as a cynical smile spread across his face. He was going to enjoy this. Jason finished his drink and put his glass back down on the tray before turning to the door ready to meet this so far quiet and stubborn girl.

Spontaneously combusting people. That was new. Never the less they didn't have time to just sit around and what use had that guy been anyways? They needed to get out of here seeing that they seemed to have failed. Perhaps that was because some outside force got lazy or something. She didn't know nor care. It was time to get out of here. Galia floated into the sky and simply followed in silence there was nothing for them to say at this time.

Colton took a seat on the bed, not because he was told to but because he felt too weak to stand anymore. The robot had already done it's scan of him and Lyle had explained the situation and left, locking him in his new prison. It didn't matter how nice he had made it, it was a prison just the same. Four walls meant to contain him. A criminal captured and held for a crime he could not control. Thrown away because the world couldn't understand the ways of the powers that were forced onto him. His eyes were empty as Colton sat simply accepting the fate before him. He barely flinched when the robot set his arm. Sure it hurt a hell of a lot, however after everything that he had been put through in his time there, it wasn't as bad as it would have been for most people. The more the robot worked on him the more irritated he got with it. Colton normally hated the doctor and such and when it was a cold metallic one, that made it ten times worse. He wanted to pull away when it went to give him the needle but knew better than to move too much. Since being here there was a few times that the scientist had to remove needle tips from under his skin because he tried to fight back and it broke. Those were never pleasant. When it was finally out of his face trying to hand him medication Colton hit it away and stood up, wrapping the electric blanket tight around him. He didn't make it far before he started a coughing fit, but he wasn't about to allow the robot to take care of him any more. "Just piss off." He yelled as he pushed past it towards the curtained off area which was where Mai was. Colton was just about at the end of the rope. Though he should have been relived for the new area, it had come with a great cost. One he was not willing to let someone pay. Not for his sake. Ripping back the curtain Colton could only sit there and look at the unconscious girl who was in a lot worse shape than she was when he was dragged away this morning. "I don't know if you can hear me but that was a stupid move. I don't need this damn special treatment! I will live, and even if I don't no one would really miss me! Just keep fighting for your life damn it Mai! All this! I am not worth it! You need to fight back, don't let them do this to you. I will get us both out and then you can come home with me." Colton then realized he was almost yelling at the unconscious girl. The yelling set off a harsh coughing fit that caused Colton to collapse to one knee shaking. "Mai... we are both going to survive this. Just keep up the fight, even if that means I have to go back to the conditions we were kept in before. I have been in worse conditions, trust me. I am fine." Colton's voice softened back to the raspy weak voice that it had been for the last week. Before that he had been fine, mostly healthy, but when it hit him, well it hit him hard. After Danni thanked him Brendan let silence fall trying his best to not listen to her thoughts that were flowing into his mind. That power was something he had tried to control so many times but never could turn it off, so he had to learn to ignore it instead. Let the thoughts fade into the background of his mind slowly and enjoy the near silence. Well that was until Danni spoke up again about Jex being in the hospital. "They will never stop coming after us, not when they still don't understand. The media makes us seem like the scum of the earth so much, that is what people got into their minds." Brendan said getting up and offering Danni a hand up. "Would you like to go visit Jex? I can take you to him. Or at least we can go back inside where it is warm. If you like I can show you everything I have compiled so far, perhaps a new set of eyes will help me pick out something I missed. I have mulled over it so much, just looking at the documents again has been giving me headaches." He asked trying to offer whatever alternative he could think of over sitting out in the wet cold waiting to get sick. Jason poured the two drinks bringing them back to Benjamin's desk. Jason himself remained standing as he sipped on his drink. "Oh?" He said raising an eyebrow as Ben talked about someone he acquired a while back. "I can see what I can get out of her, which person is it?" He asked curious. Dealing with people on the watch list was kind of his thing, had been ever since a few years before Cynthia's mother. That was probably about the third one on the list he had to deal with. However Cynthia's mother was simply watching her undercover, from as close quarters as he could manage, to him that meant marrying the young telepath. "I am sure I can get something out of her, no need to worry." Jason added. He kept his expression neutral but he was quite excited to do some actual work over just overseeing the jobs and keeping a close eye on his daughter. Isabella ignored Lukey's comment about him and Kye not dating. She believed they were so there was nothing that could change her mind about it. She was simply stubborn like that. Then there was Shane talking to her once again. Damn it, how could she say no now... Though she did kind of enjoy the slower process. sure it took more time and got less done for science sake, but at the same time it gave her the chance to try different things for use with future subjects and all that sort of stuff. "I'll take the slow and painful way, it will allow me to try so many more techniques... for science." Isabella replied. It was kind of nice to have another telepath around so she could speak like this. She didn't get to do it very often. People were so boring with their whole lack of powers thing. There needed to be more people like her in the world. That would make things a lot more fun. But only good people mind you. She would take the powers away from all the bad people Standing before her test subject, watching him squirm around in pain, Isabella heard Lukey's voice behind her. He had shoved her new subject at her. "Oh delivering him to me already? I still have stuff to do first.... OH! You wanted an excuse to come see how my other project is going. Great! India had him for today so I don't know exactly what happened, and well you were here for the rest. Even so though he is doing good. More sick than yesterday but he is holding on. I hope India didn't push him too hard. On that note." Isabella untied Coltons restraints and then smacked his broken arm to wake him up. "Rise and shine sleepy head. We have to get you hack to your room. We can't have you sleeping in my lab all the time can we? It wouldn't be right. This is my space and I don't like sharing for too long." She said to him before turning to Shane. "We can't start until I take him back. So you can come with me. Maybe Lyle will have a home for you." Colton jolted awake sitting up with a cry of pain as Isabella hit his broken arm. After that he let out a fit of dry coughs that made his chest ache. Colton fell back to a lying down position as he held his broken arm as it throbbed. He only stared straight at the roof for a few moments before turning his head to see not only Isabella, but the agent that captured him, Lucas. On top of that there was a guy and a girl standing there was well, all looking at him. Colton felt a little more than uncomfortable as they looked at him, but not embarrassed mind you, he lost his sense of dignity soon after arrival. "Come on you lazy bum, there is no time for sitting around we have to get you back to your own bed." Isabella said as she pulled Colton off the cold metal work table that he had been laying on. She tried to not make the conditions sound as bad as they were in front of Shane for the reason of not wanting him to know of the true horrors that he had gotten himself into just yet. That would come in time, but for now she wanted him to continue following her without her having to do too much work. She already had to keep a close eye on Colton, he loved to stir up trouble when he thought he could get away with it. And by the look of her lab he had tried to once already. She would have to have a conversation with India about it later. What was he thinking letting the boy mess up her lab like that? Colton slid off the table slowly as Isabella tried to pull him off. As he stood he got dizzy, but her hand holding firmly to his arm helped him keep balance. He looked at the boy he had not seen before with worn bloodshot eyes, a warning to get out if he could, but Colton kept his mouth shut. His throat hurt too much to speak. It was raw from all the coughing recently. Colton merely slowly shuffled along, his head down as Isabella lead him back to his room. He wondered if Mai was okay. She had been here far longer than he had, and was rough shape herself. She always helped him... if only there was something he could do for her... While one had was gripped firmly on Colton's arm, Isabella used the other to grab Shane's hand and lead him along as she hummed. Isabella hummed a happy tune and skipped down the hall until she reached Lyle'sn lab, where Colton was kept. "Helloooooo. I am bringing Colton back." Isabella yelled out as she entered the lab. She mad her way to Colton's cell. "Woah did you redo this? It looks good! In you go Colton!" Isabella shoved Colton inside and watched the boy stumble forward nearly falling on his face. "Also I don't know what you want me to do with him. He did come here to look for you after all." Isabella stated. As Colton stumbled forward into the newly designed room he just stared and blinked once before he looked at the curtain and turned to Lyle. He knew who was behind the curtain and he felt like it wouldn't be good. Perhaps it was his dream or perhaps it was just a gut feeling he didn't know but he wouldn't let it pass. "Mai.." He started in a raspy voice. "Wh-what did you do to her..." He asked sounding as angry as he could through his tired, weak and raspy voice. He started to do the best he could to manipulate the inner workings of one of Lyles robots near by to turn on Lyle but he didn't know how well he was doing, everything was so out of focus and he was slightly dizzy. It made using his powers accurately extremely hard. He was unsteady as he stood in the middle of the room, goose bumps covering his bare arms. He started coming down with the chills on top of everything else. Brendan sat quietly listening to Danni go on and carefully thinking about each point and how he would respond. But he wouldn't respond until she was done talking. "Everything is stupid, I agree with you there. Things shouldn't happen like this, it is unfair. Why did it have to be Colton of all people. I remember when he came here, how weak and sick he was. Not to mention mentally unstable.... Look Danni, I know you were hard on him but that was because he needed it. You were doing the right thing. If you left him alone he wouldn't have done anything and wouldn't have grown in strength. Lets just hope that you giving him a hard time has helped him strengthen enough to get through this ordeal, we will find him." Brendan said to deal with the Colton issue. "Yes everyone is on edge, I am on edge, but I am doing everything I can to track Colton without dipping my hands in muddy water. I have the skills to do more, just... I can't risk getting us in trouble. I will find another way. I promise you. I will help your Uncle find them. I promise, but until then it might be good for us to be a bit on edge, more careful, so the same thing doesn't happen to someone else. I don't know what I would do if someone I knew better went missing... if you went missing..." Brendan said as he bit the inside of his lower lip, nervous that he said too much and made her uncomfortable. Finally there was the question that had been taxing him for years. Why they were targeted. He couldn't himself understand why he was forced to hide away and be separated from his family besides just to keep him safe. "I guess, they ear what they don't understand. I mean it is hard to understand powers if you don't have them yourself and... screw it. Quite frankly I don't know. I ask myself the same thing every time I think of my family and if I will ever get to see them again..." Brendan was aware it was risky to speak of family now but he couldn't lie to her about what he did and didn't know. His parents had promised to come get him as soon as it was safe for him... that was nine years ago. He hadn't seen or spoken to them in that time. Cynthia looked at the glass that Tobias set on the table in front of her and then looked at the boy. She didn't trust him one bit. "I am not drinking that." Cynthia said plainly as she sat back and looked at Tobias carefully. She finally spoke answering Tobias' comment. "I used to know someone actually. However she is dead now, I killed her with my own two hands. It turns out that she herself had powers, so I couldn't just let her live. Anyways I don't know anyone else but there is always the internet. That tells you everything usually." Cynthia said crossing the room to a small laptop on a desk. "Shall we see what we can find?" Jason stood up and ran his fingers through his hair. He walked over to a small table in the corner of the room. "Would you like a drink?" He asked, preparing to pour them both a glass of whiskey. "Is there anything else that you need to talk about or need me to do today?" Jason added knowing that he had not been getting much work done and that he should soon get back to that, if Benjamin wanted him to do anything specific. If not he would simply tidy up a bit and prepare himself to deal with his daughter the following day.
Isabella busied her self with her illusion magic doing as Vincent asked her, messing with the boy that was his subject in whatever way asked of her. This went on for a little while until Lyle walked in the room asking about a blood sample for his subject. "I would offer my subject but he is sick and India pumped him full of chemicals again so that is no good, sorry." Isabella said with a pout as she explained the situation of her own subject Colton. Soon after Isabella heard a reply from Shane in her mind. Not long after that he walked through the door lead by Lukey. And Lukey brought a lady friend. First thing that Isabella did was walk over to Shane. "My name is Isabella, not voice. And no one could handle having dinner with someone so awesome as me. Maybe next time kid." She said pinching his cheek before walking to Kye. "You must be Lukey's girlfriend that I hear him talk to. It is so nice to meet you. I am Isabella, or Bella for short." Isabella said creating her name in sparkles once more. "Oh if we are showing off projects then I will go get mine. I think India is done with him now!" Isabella said as she ran off to go get Colton. She was always proud of her work, even if Colton was not well and her accomplishments were not things she did to him but simply using him. Cynthia nodded as Tobias filled in the rest, she knew that much but she wanted him to feel like he was doing something and was special. He could feel like he did well for once. However he didn't stop at filing her in on what she had left out. He continued on to talk about who the Silent killer was. He tried to say it was her father and Cynthia rolled her eyes. "Yes and I am Mother Teresa." She responded in time for him to go on and explain that he really didn't know anything and was making it all up as he went. "You realize that you will NEVER impress me and NEVER get into my pants. Get that through your thick skull." Cynthia got up and started to pace. "What do we have on telepaths and telekinetic powers. If it was a chemical by now someone would have figured it out, found it in their system. Since that hasn't happened perhaps we should look at the powers people could have and see if any of them might cause brain failure." Cynthia suggested getting back on task not letting Tobias' stupidity get to her. The sooner she completed this task and found the Silent Killer, the sooner that she got to murder him. With a reply from Danni Brendan got up and ready to head over. Before he did however he circled back inside to get a couple cups of coffee, then he headed towards the hedge maze. Brendan had no problem navigating it, not because he had done it a lot but because one time through was all he needed to make a mental map of the entire area making it incredibly easy to navigate. It didn't take long before he found Danni leaning her head against the statue of her mother, not looking to great. Taking a seat on the bench by the girl he offered her one of the coffee's before taking a sip of the other. "Don't let him get to you. He thinks he is the best thing in the world. Boy does he have it wrong." Brendan chuckled slightly trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Anyways is there anything you would like to talk about. I am always here to just listen." He told her. He couldn't imagine what she had gone though. He hadn't seen his family for nine years but that was to keep him safe. He was sure that his family was safe, if they weren't someone would have contacted him by now. So he held hope that they were fine. He had to hold on to something right. But Danni had her family torn from her. The pain would be unbearable. Jason glanced over the bounty list for one to suite his daughter, in the mean time he had another concern that he was sure Benjamin had already thought of but felt the need to ask him about it anyways. "Are you sure Tobias is the best to send. I know we have to separate them but would he not just encourage the man more. Tobias isn't known to be a good influence to anyone. I mean according to Kye's report he was the one that initiating the killing the first time was Tobias, Cynthia had threatened a man but no blood was shed, not until Tobias initiated was there blood." He explained. Perhaps he was just over thinking things. "Either way I will terminate the mission first thing tomorrow, after collecting reports of course. We can pass those on to whoever takes it next. Hopefully that person can get the job done with less blood shed."
"I know, I know." Jason said getting a little worked up himself. "I messed up. I made a mistake bringing her here. I should have left her to the authorities or something after she killed her mother. I shouldn't have taught her more in fighting. It was my mistake for thinking that I could make her useful after she clearly had issues. I am sorry. I don't know what to do with her though. You know as well as I do that throwing her out would be more dangerous, for the world and for us. I wouldn't put it past her to expose us out of spite, and for her to cause huge problems." Jason looked up knowing what the best option was, but he couldn't. "I know... I need to terminate her, not the mission, but... I just can't bring myself to do with it." He said looking rather sad. "Tobias won't listen to me, the boy has no respect. If you take care of taking him off the mission I would take care of Cynthia. I just need anew mission to give her, something to satisfy her blood lust and distract her for now. It is either that or send Tobias away but as soon as he gets back he will be wanting to join her again and won't take no for an answer, both risky moves, but what other choices do we have?" This whole thing was giving him a head ache. If only Cynthia could have been normal, or less violent. "Detention? Do you think I would let you off that easy after the stunt that you just pulled. And if you didn't notice she didn't come to me. I walked into this situation myself." Brendan stated after Danni had punched Noah and ran off. "I want a five page report on the hibernation habits of bears, and a ten page report on how a computer works. I will be checking if you copied the reports from anywhere else. And I want them in to me first thing tomorrow morning. That should keep you busy today and out of peoples hair. If it is not complete you will have higher ups to deal with than me. Trust me, you don't want to deal with that." Brendan threatened before turning to walk in the direction that Danni had left. As he walked away Brendan was going to try to send a telepathic message to Danni, but considering that he would have to read her mind to get the answer, so she couldn't select what she wanted to reply he decided it best just to text her. He already knew where she was going, not because he wanted to but because he couldn't turn off his damn mind reading. It was annoying and distracting and he hated to encroach on others privacy like that. He however wouldn't go there until she had said it was okay to, he didn't want to overstep his boundaries. "Hey Danni, are you okay? Would you like to talk about it? Don't worry I will make sure that Noah doesn't follow, he has more than enough to keep him busy now. Please I just want to help." That was what the text that Brendan sent read. He didn't have much else to do until she replied so he settled on a bench just outside the building. "I don't need this just after I woke up." He sighed.
Thomas just blinked, then blinked again. "I know that I make bad puns sometimes but that is worse than even mine. What are you doing well. You will never impress a girl with such bad jokes, more likely scare them off. Geez dude you gotta learn." Thomas said sighing. "Though I doubt that you could get any girl after I mess up that already ugly mug of yours." He added. Fire didn't seem to help his cause so onto the next spell. Lightning. He shot Wenlock straight on the middle dot on his tunic. "I am a great shot, shocking isn't it? "He spoke adding his own pun into things.
Isabella was happy to hear that she could be some use to somehow. However that someone was a person she was not all that familiar with, meaning she didn't really trust him that much. Either way she could be helpful and that was what she was aiming for. "Hi there! My name is Isabella!" Isabella introduced herself as she created an illusion of her names in sparkles above her head. "You can call me Bella for short." She spoke as the Isa fell from the illusion, hitting the ground before exploding into sparkles. The entire illusion soon faded. "So mister Serious science guy, what are we going to do and why does your subject look like he might die?" She asked walking up to the boy. "Aw he is so cute, he is only a kid. Though their brains are the most fun to look at, they are still developing. My subject isn't, he is already older, but on the other hand he has lots of abnormalities for me to look into. I love that sort of stuff. But it does make him be sick and we can't use as high dosages of things on him so that kind of sucks. But what can you do a subject is a subject, and this one is going to make me rich.... For science!" Isabella shot her finger into the air as she said the last part, then burst out into laughter. As she finished her rambling she heard a knock echoing through the halls from the front door.... wow that was a loud knock. Never the less she grabbed her phone from her lab coat pocket and pulled up a video feed from the security cameras focusing on the one at the front door. "Lets see who is there." She mumbled to herself looking at the image of a young man standing there. Hm never seen him around before. Isabella put her phone down on a desk and walked over to Vincent to do whatever he needed her to do, in the meantime she would multitask and talk with this person at the front door. Mess with him a bit. It would be a lot of fun. "Hellllooooo. Who is there? Who are you? What are you doing here?" Isabella asked through telepathic communication, trying to listen to his thoughts for his response. It didn't work. Huh that was interesting. Did he have powers? Possible. Isabella awaited a response in another form, hoping one would come, all the while she was doing what she needed to in order to prep for any experiment, being washing her hands, tying her hair back and making sure her glasses were indeed functioning properly, then awaiting instruction. "My name's Shane, I'm here to see Lyle Strain" The answer echoed through Isabella's mind. She hid the smirk from the response. Definitely a telepath, one that didn't seem to be deterred that she was a telepath here in this environment. That would work great for her. "Why do you want to meet that boring fart? I am far more awesome and you know like to work with real people. He is all robotic and stuff. You know those movies that robots take over the world, when that happens I wager that he will be the one creating those robots. Anyways enough with my rambling, why in the world would you want to see him? He is SUCH a bore." Isabella responded before receiving an image of a bunch of people killing themselves because of his powers, gross. "So people don't suffer any longer because of me" "I can help with that! I am an expert in human abnormalities, including powers. Oh and I am working with a subject right now to discover more of their origins. I can use what I am learning from him to help you. I mean it would require some tests but I am sure I could do it." She informed the young man at the door. This was only partly true though. She would try to help him in a way, while she wanted to figure out how to unlock more powers if she found out how to shut them off, well that would be great for impressing the government. She wouldn't say it but she would use this boy just like another test subject, hopefully this one would work out better than Colton was, as in not getting as sick. She was learning a lot from Colton. Soon she would see what other powers that she could force on him, she how his mind handled that. "Sounds great, that's what I came here for. Still, I'd like to talk to Strain before making any decisions, see what he's thinking and all" "Fair enough." Isabella said pacing back to her phone to check the camera feed in the middle of what she was doing. Though usually a careful worker her mind was wandering a bit meaning she wasn't afraid to walk off for a moment and come back to her work. She got to her phone just in time to see Lukey approach and tap the boy on the shoulder. She figured that she should say something to Lukey about him. "Lukey, guess what! That boy is a telepath. He wants our help. Do you mind bringing him in. Hopefully the snooze fest that is Lyle will meet us soon. The kid wants to talk to him and it is rude to leave him outside like that." Isabella politely requested of Lukey before turning back to her work once again. It was silent in her mind for a few moments then talking once more. "Well it looks like I don't have much of a choice. Your friend here's seen to that. Funny, I heard about a few of Strain's experiments but I never heard anything about a telepathic rat" " What are you talking about Lyle doesn't work with rats, he works with robotics.... Oh you are talking about me. I am no rat. I just asked my friend to bring you inside it is rude to leave you out there like that. Though I think I saw that another college was on his way to get the door for you. OH well. The more the merrier right?" Isabella responded knowing that Lucas was probably already standing at he door while this entire conversation went on, and there was no need to tell Lukey to bring him inside, but she wanted to make sure he would come in. He couldn't let this chance slip through her fingers after all. Fever dreams were always the worst. Colton was aware of this, he had them quite often, and today was no different in his half drugged and sick state. Colton stood in the middle of a lab room, a cold metal work bench behind him and shape tools beside him. In the room stood Isabella, both Lucas', India, and Lyle holding Mai up by her throat, a threat towards him. The room was spinning in front of him. He was dizzy. Colton closed his eyes to shake it off and when he opened them he was laying on the cold table, his shirt had been removed and the three scientists, Lucas, Isabella and India stood over him, talking amongst themselves but he couldn't understand what they were saying. Colton tried to use his powers to throw a knife from the table near by at them. It didn't work, his powers didn't work. In a panic he tried to fight against the restraints only to be hushed by Isabella as she looked at him with a wicked smile. "Remember those handcuffs that we put on you when we captured you? These restraints are similar but work far better than that. We can't have you trying to hurt us while we do our last test can we?" Isabella hushed him. "Don't struggle too much, more you do the more that you bring out the spikes built in to them to prevent you from struggling." Lucas spoke up this time. "Can we just get to looking at his mind?" India asked impatiently as he picked up a scalpel. The last test, were they trying to kill him? They were going to cut him open without anything to numb him or anything to put him to sleep? All Colton could do was struggle more, at least until he felt the spikes drive into his skin causing him to cry out in pain. "I would be quiet and behave if I were you, or else she will die. Such a pity to waste a perfectly good subject, don't you think?" Came the voice of Lyle and Colton knew exactly who he was talking about, his cell mate, Mai. "Don't! Leave her alone!" Colton cried out. "Or perhaps I should go after that friend of yours I have already shot once. She seems to be a fighter unlike you. If you can't complete this experiment for us then she probably could." The other Lucas spoke as he stood in the doorway. The boy was in a panic, he couldn't do anything here. Everyone's faces seemed darker, more threatening. "No one will ever come for you, no one cares." A more unfamiliar voice he hadn't heard for a long time echoed through the air, his mother. What was this? The boy was trapped in his own dreams and it was terrifying.
