You converted those hours into minutes, so that doesn't count. If your answer is bigger than 60 minutes you have to convert it back, otherwise it's just 48 minutes.
No, it would just be 48 minutes, no hours. Where has your 1 hour come from?
No, that would be 48 minutes. You only subtract 60 if it is larger than 60, and for every 60 minutes you subtract, you change to 1 hour. I'm probably not explaining this well.
You were saying 3 hours and 20 minutes is the same as 320 minutes, which is wrong as there are only 60 minutes in an hour not 100, so you have to convert from hours to minutes first before you subtract them.
There's 60 minutes in an hour. 3 hours and 20 minutes is the same as 200 minutes. (3 x 60 = 180, 180 + 20 = 200) 1 hour and 45 minutes is the same as 105 minutes. (60 + 45 = 105) 200 - 105 = 95 minutes. 95 minutes = 1 hour 35 minutes. (95 - 60 [one hour] = 35) EDIT: got beat to it.
"She said out deaths would be quick and painless. I imagine if we try to commit suicide, she won't allow us and make our deaths not quite so quick and painless." Abby spoke for the first time since the discussion started, she much preferred to sit back and listen to the others. It was interesting listening to what they had to say. "The small print is probably more rules, which is probably why she said that we were all already breaking some as for the most part I don't think we've broken the ones we can see. So if we know what they are, we can at least be wary of them." Her voice was so quiet, barely audible, yet she pronounced each word so clearly, all the time looking down at her hand. She paused for a second before adding, "Maybe it is a game to her and the rules are just there to make sure we do what we want. She said to use our time wisely. If we have only so long to live, then surely we've got to make every single day count, do something worthwhile. If we spend all 100 days just worrying about it, then it'll be up before we know it and we won't have even appreciated the time we have left. There might be a way to live longer but for now, if we take it as fact, surely we should be making the most of it." Abby clutched her scarf and became silent once more, sort of wishing she hadn't spoken. She didn't like everyone looking at her and she feared they'd just mock her for what she'd just said.
Abby looked up shyly from her drink as she heard someone speak to her, looking up she saw a blonde girl that she'd seen around school a few times before. She'd never really spoken to them before but with their comment they must have been on the email too. She searched her mind, remembering all the names on the email to see if she could work out who this girl was to no avail. Still she didn't let that show, "Oh um hey, yeah, I'm here to meet M as well" She answered quietly, the girl's comment about school had brought on another wave of guilt which she worked hard to ignore, "I'd like to talk about it with people instead of being all alone, school doesn't seem so important any more." She looked down at her hot drink as she spoke ever so delicately, wondering if the others on the email were feeling the same way as her, the 100 days had only just started and already it was suffocating her.
DAY 5December 4th, Tuesday, 11:40am Abigail hadn't spoken a single word ever since Anthony had got possessed. She'd just sat there rooted to the spot, watching in horror as the unspeakable happened. It was real. It was all real. And two of them were going to die tomorrow. It could be any of them...Tyler... Quin.... it could be her. She wanted to just run away or turn invisible but she was just frozen in shock. Even as it had returned to normal, she'd not moved for a while as her mind attempted to catch up. She should of gone and checked to make sure Anthony was okay, he was a nice boy but he'd been carried away before she could even move. When she'd eventually calmed enough to shakily get up, she raced home. It was probably the fastest she'd ever ridden her bike home, she didn't stop for anything, she just wanted to get out of there. Escape from this madness. She'd raced into her house and barricaded herself in her room, the tears would not stop coming and she was shaking so so much. Even her beloved dragons could not save her from this monster. Sleep offered no respite, the moment she shut her eyes, the nightmares came. Admittedly thanks to Crestatia, they weren't her usual ones, no, these were far worse. She awoke screaming and shaking, multiple times through the night, drenched in sweat before exhaustion eventually claimed her. Unfortunately her hopes that it was all a bad dream did not come to into being that morning. Her bike was still sprawled out over the garden where she'd dumped it the day before. That meant today, two people would die. Was this to be the last day of her life? She didn't want to die, things had just started looking up. She checked her tumblr in the hope that it would calm her nerves a little, and saw M's post. She'd never skipped a lesson in her life before, she cared too much, she wanted to do well in school to get further in life. Not that any of that really mattered any more. All her hard work to do well and all the sacrifices she'd made to do work instead of having fun, well they all seemed pointless now. If she did go to school, there was no way she'd be able to concentrate anyway, all she really needed desperately was someone to talk to and this what was on offer right now. With a deep breath, her mind was set. Lacey's was the cafe near school, she'd gone there a fair amount so she could get there without too much trouble on her bike. She actually cycled quickly, she didn't want to stop and think about everything, so got there earlier than expected. Still she paused around school, as the inevitable guilt about not going wrapped itself around her, her conscience scolding her for not going. Still she wasn't going to change her mind now. However she still stopped outside the cafe for a few minutes, still unsure if she wanted to go through with it. Finally she went in, the first there as she was so early. She wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing, either way she bought herself a hot chocolate and found herself a nice spot to wait.
Tbh I figured it out immediately and even posted explaining but ended up deleting my post so DT could have his fun.
Oh damn!!!!!!!!!!! Opps, so so so so sorry. Actually recorded my lines and saved them too, just forgot to send them. Ah well, won't happen again.
Abigail's grin shattered as she realised someone had died. Her eyes blurred beneath her glasses, she couldn't even begin to imagine what his family and friends were feeling right now. She'd never really spoken to Thomas but she knew for sure that he'd never joined in when she'd been picked on, why had his life been cut short so soon? She clutched her scarf tightly, it just served as a severe reminder of how mortal they were, how fragile life was and how easy it was for it to be taken away before your time. Through blurry eyes she just watched the pictures of Thomas Adams. Thomas Adams. The name seemed familiar, though she wasn't sure where from. She knew she hadn't spoken to him before and it wasn't from his pictures, so where did she know it from? The email. The thought struck her like a ton of bricks. His name had been on the list, she was certain of it. She'd completely forgotten about the email after yesterday had been so good but now. This was silly, it had to be a coincidence. Still she couldn't help thinking back to the list of rules and wondering if he had broken any of them, what if this was his punishment? She shivered. No, no, no, she was being ridiculous, how could someone murder them like this? Her heart was beating so fast as the 'What if's swirled round her head. Maybe this wasn't a joke after all. But that would mean that she...and Tyler..and Quin...and all those others had like 3 months to live. She just wanted to run straight out of the room, it was getting unbearable but she managed to remain in her seat getting increasingly more uncomfortable. She looked around the room quickly, she needed to talk to someone about it, anyone, but who??
Abby woke up feeling so refreshed, no nightmares! That made for a change, though come to think of it she hadn't had one yesterday but had been in too much of a rush to notice. She'd enjoyed yesterday, so so much, it had been a great day. Quin's music still echoed round her head, she'd been right to want to go and hear her play. Wow, that girl was talented. Her music was almost magical, it seemed to sweep you up and take you away. It made you forget about everything else and just get lost in its wonderful sound. Abby had been mesmerised from the very first note. Afterwards, she'd meant to go congratulate Quin on such a spectacular performance but she'd been literally swept away in the crowd. Sometimes being small sucked. Still she hadn't let that ruin her mood, despite missing Quin she'd managed to find Tyler again. This is after several phone calls with him trying to guide her to him. She got back to him eventually.) He'd insisted on walking her home after that as he refused to let her go home in the dark, plus it had already been firmly established that Abby's sense of direction left much to be desired. She had tried to argue albeit weakly as she was on a bike and her house wasn't exactly close but she'd given in after not that long. She was just amazed that someone would care enough to do that for her. The walk back was nice, they just talked and he made her laugh so damn much. Her cheeks were hurt by the time they got close to her house, she didn't even know it was possible to smile so much your cheeks hurt but apparently it was. She really didn't want to go in when they finally got to her house, she didn't want to say bye. They stood for a good 15 minutes outside her house talking before he eventually left. Even then she kept texting him to make sure he got home alright. She hoped he didn't mind, but if he had, he hadn't said anything. She went to bed so happy, she didn't even go on tumblr which was unheard of for her. The grin hadn't left her face all morning, she'd been ready in record time, for a change she couldn't wait to get in to see everyone. Maybe things were finally looking up for her. Lady luck might just for once be on her side. Helmet on head, she raced down the path by Bellhurst Lake on her trusted bike, getting to school in plenty of time. She didn't see anyone straight away but she had no doubt she'd find someone she recognised soon enough. Last night had given her such a confidence boost that right now, she could talk to anyone. The morning announcement surprised and intrigued her but she didn't think too much off it, it just meant the were missing the first lesson. Either was she followed what it said and made her way into the auditorium.
I really do need to join this before I forget Name: Midnight Likes: Dragons, fantasy, magic, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Oracle, virtually any kick ass comic book women (though not Wonder Woman's biggest fan), the bat family, Merlin, Young Justice, Wild Animals, Bushy xD, Kitty Pryde, One Piece (only up to around ep.160 though), hmm I'll add more later.
....since that was posted at 10am this morning, I guess I'm out. Had lectures all day so only just seen it. Shame, it was fun and I'm still keeping Abby's tumblr going regardless. Was actually planning on posting now, only didn't post yesterday because it was my birthday and thought I could afford to miss a day as I posted the day before. Forgot I'd posted in the morning, not in the evening like usual. Ah well~
Midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that draws my first day of being 19 to a close~

Midnight and I am officially 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111
Abby was running late. Her alarm hadn't gone off and she'd woken up way later than she'd planned. She was annoyed at herself, she'd been so excited about this too and she did not want to be late. Yesterday had been quiet but it had been nice, she'd ended up by the lake and had just sat there for a while. She'd enjoying the peace and quiet, while imagining allsorts of magical things happening under the water and just out of her view. Life was so much more exciting inside her head. Though it'd be nice to share it with someone every now and again. She wasn't a loner on purpose, it just sort of ended up that way. She'd been thrilled when she got back and checked her tumblr. First Anthony had been liking and reblogging all her stuff, which made her happy that someone liked her stuff, as well as even commenting that he liked her tumblr. That felt amazing to know someone liked what she did and in her mind anyone who liked dragons couldn't be bad. She hadn't really spoken much to Anthony before but now she definitely wanted to, he seemed like so much fun to know. However, that wasn't even the thing she'd got most excited about. She'd returned to find one special message from 'risefromtheashes' aka Tyler, where he'd actually asked if she wanted to go to Quin's concert with him and even given her his number. After a few minutes at staring at the message to make sure it was real, she'd quickly responded to tell him she'd love to. She'd been planning on going anyway but the fact that Tyler asked her was just amazing. That was why right now she was in a massive rush. She never cared that much about appearances and she never wore make up but she wanted to look roughly okay. She dragged a brush through her hair and made sure her clothes looked okay, grabbing everything she needed. She decided to take her bike as it was a decent walk but she couldn't drive so cycling halved the time it took and it was actually pretty fun. She took the route down by the lake as it was actually quite beautiful and so much nicer to ride by than the busy roads. Still she didn't stop to admire it today, she blasted her way down the path, free wheeling it a bit, her hair flying out behind her and on towards where she'd planned to meet Tyler. Eventually she rounded the corner to their agreed meeting place, relieved to not only be there on time but the first one there.
