KH2man13 is interrogated, room 101 style. I don't think anything more needs to be said here, other than that he is INNOCENT and loves Big Brother.

Another tip is called in by yet another anonymous figure. Red Robin, KH2Man13, and Clawtooth35 proceed to take action and drive towards a local service station which had been reported to have been the scene of a major accident involving many heart attacks. As they approached the scene of the murders, they at once saw the evidence proving these tips true. Bodies are found on the sidewalk, expressions on their face clearly showing their fear and desperate attempts to escape their fate. Shocked by what they witnessed, tension instantly rose. Red Robin pulled into the service station and the trio exited the vehicle with haste. Seeing that the service station was deserted, they entered without a second thought. KH2Man13, as the last one to enter, was suddenly struck in the back of his shoulder by what seemed to a bullet. Screaming for Red Robin and Clawtooth to get down, they drew their weapons and ducked as to avoid being shot. In an instant all three were being shot at by what seemed like multiple beings from outside the service station. As Clawtooth glanced over the newspaper rack he was crouched behind, he suddenly noticed four crazed looking men with hand guns firing wildly in their direction. While attempting to fire back at them, Clawtooth, shooting with the arm he was recently shot in, missed the man nearest to him and penetrated the gas pump positioned directly behind him. In only what seemed like a mere second the entire service station was up in flames due to the explosion caused by his accidental shot. ToD: Monday, 25 April 2011 at 00:33

I can count on one hand the number of people I know who use purely mobile devices. Usually the user has access to a computer to save their PMs. But this problem applies, whether autoPM is active or not. It's a problem that exists with people on mobile devices. Even then, they don't have to save the PMs, and as I can testify, it is extremely easy to clear your PMs on a mobile device, especially if you just hit the button to clear them all.

There may or may not be a cap to the max. But I'm certain it can be increased above what it is at now, as I've seen it done as such on other forums. In fact, there's a handy tutorial on how to increase it right here.

I have had a lot of my posts deleted over the years, and the only times I've been notified over them being deleted is when I'm friends with the staff member in question. Also, this is hardly a fair argument for you to make. Whenever the idea of notifications for deleted posts has been brought up in the past, it's been shot down with the argument "Too time consuming for staff", so it's already well established that it is not a practical solution to leave the notifications up to staff to do manually.

While ideally staff would send an individual PM out to each person, it's just that: an ideal. It may be possible in the larger cases of noobs, but it's completely impossible to do for the majority of the members on the boards, who only get a couple of their posts deleted. As I said, I've never been contacted except in a couple of cases with friends recently, and even then, it was over IM.

We don't deny that you do your jobs. We're well aware of it. It's one of the reasons we're pressing for this plugin. We know that you're doing your job, because our posts keep vanishing. We want to be able to keep track of where our content goes.

I do ask a staff member. I ask them if I figure out where the deleted post is. After all, it could be in a thread from weeks ago. Besides, it's not fair for me to trouble staff every time I think I see my post-count drop. You guys have better things to do than trawl through our histories. We can't simply ask the staffie who deleted the post, because we have no idea who did it.

Then there are also those cases when posts are hard deleted for some unfathomable reason. In that case, no staff can tell whether there was a post there or not. (Even if the member finds the exact location of the post and points a staff member towards it.)

So far the only dissenters are the people who do the deleting and are able to see deleted posts. Even

    Good news.

    Exclude RP Arena. Problem solved.

It'd be good to actually read the thread of the plugin in question. It says that the notifications can be sent out for all sorts of things, and you can turn it on or off for each option.

So, Wolfie, can I have a list of all my deleted posts (including those pesky hard-deleted posts) for the last month please?

A valid concern. However an inbox can hold a lot of PMs, and it is easy to clear it out while saving all PMs to your hard drive. If it is a big problem, then the space for the inbox can always be increased down the line. They are simply posts, after all. I've done a bit of research, and it doesn't appear that increasing inbox size impacts negatively on the server, so that is always an option.

Additionally, if a person is spamming so much that their inbox is flooded, then it is necessary for them to be notified of it, so they can cease spamming. Often they do it without knowledge, and the staff cannot find the time to tell them. If they are getting so many of their posts deleted that they are forced to clear their inbox, then a major reform in posting habit is required, and having to press a couple of buttons to clear messages from that day is the least of their worries. The answer to the problem of a spamming member is not to let them run rampant, and have staff run after them, deleting their posts. To do that is akin to trying to mop up flowing water. They need to be notified, and more so if they are spamming to the point of their inbox flooding.

Furthermore, a person should value each post that they make enough that they'd be willing to receive one PM if it had been deleted. I, for one, am willing and eager to go through my subscribed threads if I see my post count drop to attempt to find where the offending post had been deleted from. We can see from similar responses in this thread that other members value their time and content in the same way, and are willing to go through the hassle of receiving a PM (or more) to find the truth. When it comes down to it, it's a small matter to delete a PM, while it takes considerably longer to type up a post.

Again I must ask though, how many people is 'a lot'? We clearly had enough to make Canned Replies worthwhile, and there are even more than that for AutoPM.

I don't know the answer to this, so I'm assuming a worst-case scenario of it PMing you for every post. Threads aren't often deleted. They're locked, but rarely deleted. It's why there are a lot of locked threads lying about the back pages of the forums. It's rare for an entire discussion thread to bite the dust. Also if a large thread is deleted, then it's important that you are informed. For example, a forum family I was in, which has thousands of posts, got accidentally deleted. I had to find a link to where it used to be from another post, and send it to an admin to get it restored. Again, deleting all PMs received in the last day is fairly easy. And that's assuming a worst-case scenario of it sending out a PM to everyone in the thread, which may not be the case.

Horrified by the discovery of a person with such destructive powers, the investigative team working towards the capture of Kira decide to use any leads possible to obtain him/her. Bate, Ienzo, and Makaze receive an anonymous tip, telling them that a strange briefcase had been abandoned in a nearby subway station. Eager to investigate the matter, they rush over with great haste. Upon their arrival, while running down the stairwell towards the trains, Makaze is nearly knocked down by a cloaked being. He didn't think much of it, so they continue and began to approach the black briefcase cascaded over a bench near the tracks. Ienzo, being the bravest of the three, decides to lift the briefcase by the handle. As she begins to turn and shrug at the other two with a triumphant smirk on her face, the handle clicks as if activating something. Ienzo, shocked by the sudden twitch of the briefcase, drops it to the hard concrete immediately, without a second thought in the matter. Within seconds the briefcase bursts open, excreting a green mist which quickly fills the underground station. Panicking, the trio attempts to urge everyone to exit the station immediately in a calm manner. Ienzo, feeling slightly dizzy, begins to trip backwards towards the tracks with some haste. Makaze glances towards her and rushes to her aid. As he approaches her though, a nearby pedestrian bumps into Makaze, thus knocking him down onto the tracks in her place. With his legs broken, there is little he can do to escape the oncoming subway train. In Ienzo and Bate's act of courage to evacuate the subway station successfully, they begin to choke on the noxious fumes and collapse along with several other unlucky victims. They die simultaneously at Saturday, 23 April 2011 at 14:02.

As Ienzo died prior to the accusation, the accusation is not processed.

Also, it just so happened that the train-carts were transporting a truckload of penguins to the nearest wildlife reserve. Terra254, fulfilling his part-time job as a penguin caretaker, was travelling with the avian fiends. As the rest of the people evacuated the station, he and his penguins were left on the tracks, in the cart, gas slowly seeping in. Interestingly, the gas seemed to have a different effect on the penguins to humans. While it caused humans to weaken and fall unconscious, it seemed to do the opposite to penguins, instead enraging them. The penguins in question, tormented by the gas, ripped Terra254 to pieces with their cruel beaks, leaving no chance for survival. There wasn't even a body to be found – only fat, angry penguins roaming the station. ToD: Monday, 25 April 2011 at 02:03

As of this post, there has been more support for AutoPM than canned replies.

How many people do you count as 'a lot'? Because to me, it seems as though there are a lot of people who'd like to be able to see what sort of edits and deletions are done to their posts. I know having AutoPM implemented would have saved me trouble this afternoon, when a post of mine got unjustly deleted (and later restored when I noticed).

Just readding this, as it seems to have been deleted somehow, and the more views on a topic there are, the better answered the question is, right?

Personally, I don't think it was a (sub)title for BBS, because usually it would be placed at the beginning of the game, as opposed to the end. By placing it at the end, it is implying that there is more to the story. While Ven is unlikely to see the light of day until later, Terra has the business with Eraqus' heart to be resolved, and Aqua has the matter of the castle we saw in the secret episode to be dealt to. There's something displeasing about the explanation that she spent ten years in the Realm of Darkness, just wandering.

There are four types of 'right' and 'wrong' to be considered: ethical, legal, societal and beneficial. I'll go through each and weigh up the pros and cons.

Ethically, something is acceptable provided it is consensual, and no one is being forced to do something against their own will. In this case, one night stands are acceptable, provided they are done between people who give consent. If one or more of the people are drunk, then it becomes a tad more complex, with arguments ranging from "it's wrong to take advantage of a drunk person", to "they gave consent when they got drunk". It also becomes problematic if either is a minor. Ultimately, in terms of ethics, the question is whether the participants are able to understand what they're doing. In that case, anyone over the age of 13/14 who isn't heavily intoxicated should be able to consent ethically.

Legally, it varies from state to state to country to country, but the general idea is that anyone over a certain age (14/16/18/21) is able to legally consent to sex. It differs if you leave the west, as other countries have more conservative views on sex, but for the majority of people on KHV, the western rules apply.

Socially, it's a bit harder. Society is moving in a direction where anyone can have no-strings sex, but it's still not entirely there. People who are especially promiscuous are often ridiculed socially. However it is socially acceptable, for the most part, to have one night stands, provided both people are single, so as not to violate other social conventions. There are other aspects that impact the social judgement, such as age, but those preconceptions apply to all sexual and/or romantic situations, not just one night stands.

To decide whether the one nights stands are actually beneficial or not, we have to look at two aspects: physical health and emotional health. Physically, there is the risk of pregnancy and STDs, both of which have the potential to hinder or end your life, depending on the severity. Provided birth control and protection are used, pregnancy is unlikely. Also, the morning-after pill or even abortion can be used in the worst case scenarios. On the other hand, some STDs are incurable, while others make life extremely unpleasant. Even if protection is used, there's the risk that it may fail, and there's no morning-after pill for AIDs. Ideally, one night stands would only occur between people free of STDs, but that's only an ideal. It's a risk that everyone takes that an STD could get transmitted.

The psychological aspect is one that varies too wildly to properly analyse. For some people, a one night stand means nothing, while others can get too attached. To many, it's a confidence booster, but to others its depressing and degrading. There are too many factors to properly consider this one. In the case of psychological wellbeing, it has the potential to be either 'good' or 'bad'.

In the end, I'd say that one night stands are neither good nor bad. A label cannot be neatly applied to them. It depends on each individual case, between unique people. It's not without risks, but neither is it objectively a bad idea.

From what I see, you don't really care about those who you don't know. But this is normal. Most people don't really care about others until they get close. There's nothing unusual about this. You just tend to dismiss the formalities of pretending to care about others before you get to know them. It's nothing inherently different; you ignore some social graces. You still develop connections to others normally, as any other person would.

'I am unaware of it' should be a statement you are unable to make. It self-contradicts.

Emotions are there for most people to varying degrees, and some people let their emotions affect them more than others. You seem to do less of both. So your emotions exist, but aren't as strong as others', and you don't let them show, making you appear to be an emotionless loli. So I wouldn't go so far as to say you're broken though.

(Yes, I know you didn't want others to go and ruin it. Sue me.)

But you connect to people online. Therefore this idea is at least somewhat flawed in its reasoning.

You dodged the issue of Chev's comment by playing word games with it, hoping the reader would overlook it. Why are you flattered? Simply because it sounds nice?

Most people have a different personality online and offline. If you spend more time developing your online persona, instead of your offline, then your online persona will naturally be more 'you' than your offline. If you put such care into your offline, then no doubt you'd feel more at home there, as opposed to online. Instead, there's a pull that makes online preferable to offline to you, meaning you choose to develop online over offline. Probably because you find more mature discussion online than offline, for one. Another is that you probably shy away from interaction more than usual naturally, and the computer allows for a comfortable degree of separation.

You have a polarising nature. People either like you, or they don't. It doesn't help that you are fairly new here. When I saw your first post, I promptly reported it for shit-stirring, if that makes you feel any better. Your nature isn't all bad though. It means you tend to get known quicker than if you acted like everyone else. As such, even though you've been here a short amount of time, you've gathered quite a few acquaintances/friends.

You're either a masochist, or making promises you have no intention of keeping. The previously mentioned 'Asshat' will almost certainly jump at a free card to make you do more.

From what I gather, most people do this. The less you define of yourself, the less others know of your true nature, meaning they're unable to hurt you. It's a defence mechanism, from what I can tell. It's the same with self-depreciation. If you point out your own flaws, then that means others are unable to, so they can't use them to hurt you.

The self-esteem thing is probably also normal. After all, you're young and still evaluating the world. You'll see a lot of people less gifted than you are (such as at school), but then you end up seeing people better than you, and you're forced to rethink your views.

Romance is a topic most people tend to be rather poor at, at least when they first start. After all, very few romances actually succeed. So failing at romance is nothing unusual. Less than one romance in a lifetime can be said to actually be a 'success'.

Even so, distinguishing between friendship and romance can be a pain. Personally, I think it's a defence mechanism, like many other things. You can only be romantically hurt or rejected if you acknowledge romantic feelings. If you disguise or merge them with those of friendship, then at no point do you commit to something, so you don't end up pining after someone who doesn't reciprocate. The downside is the confusion surrounding friendships/romances, and the apparent lack of romantic feelings.

The easiest solution to this one, I found, is to make a conscious effort to choose. After all, if the emotions are muddled, then it's easy enough to push them in one direction or another.

    Has it?

    Before you can give consent?

I am. Can't speak for others though.

Final thoughts: I identify with everything you've said, implying that either I'm equally as odd, or it's all normal to varying degrees. I'd prefer to consider the latter, before defining both of us as identical outcasts.

Likewise, to easily level up, you can abuse a few mechanics. If you enter a cup while in a form, then your drive gauge restores to full. If you return to the world map while in a form, again, full gauge. I think going between the two Twilight Towns also does it, but don't quote me on that.

Anyway, those tricks make it really easy to level up the forms.
