Haku took Rin back to the grove. He had grabbed her hand, but didn't realize it.
"We were on our way there, but another one of those bandits tried to attack Rin. There seems to be more of them as of late."
The bandit laughed and drew another knife. Before he could strike, Haku ran his sword through the man's chest. "Damn bandits."
"Come on, let's get that dress washed." Haku said as he walked back to the grove. A bandit came out from behind a tree and put a knife to Rin's throat. "Give me all your money, girl."
Haku stretched, showing that he only had one working arm. "If you want to fall in love with me, you will. I'm not going to try and force it."
"Most everyone that told you that was blinded by your money. My view of you is unbiased as I have no interest in your money."
"They all underrated your beauty. You're the most beautiful girl I've seen."
"Did anyone ever tell you that you look pretty cute?"
"You managed to kill the people who murdered your parents? You're a lot tougher than you look. I can have my mom wash that dress for you if you want."
"They're used to walking around barefoot. They love to feel the ground beneath their feet. Me and my dad have always worn boots." Haku said before he looked at her. "So what made you run into the forest? Surely you were comfortable in your mansion."
"That grove is our home. I've lived there all my life."
"My mom and dad moved out here with my grandparents. I was born and raised out here. My grandparents seemed to love being out in the forest so much that they decided to move out here."
"They're martial arts masters. Those are their combat outfits."
"He's not fighting back because he doesn't know if Rin can fight or not. He doesn't want to blow his chances of becoming her boyfriend. Besides, when we fight, you always lose, Ken." Haku took Rin to the lake.
"Yep. She does to him what I do to you." "Why don't I take you to see the lake first?"
"Sure. What do you want to see first, Rin?"
"You have my word, Rin."
"My dad warned me after I had kissed you. If you want to go back to wandering the forest aimlessly though, be my guest. If you stay though, I swear I won't let that happen again."
"Look, I said I was sorry. I won't do it again."
Haku rubbed the spot she slapped him. "Sorry, Rin."
