    Angel made another right down a darker corridor. She saw the beast lunge at her too late to dodge. A sickening crack resounded in the empty hall, along with her yell of pain, as the beast struck her against the oposite wall. Her vision swam in and out and she felt something warm oozing into her hair. The pressure of the beast on top of her felt as if it weighed the same as a car. Her breath caught in her chest, increasing her dizziness.

    Hannah stayed stone still against Lestat, her eyes tightly shut, making sure she didn't hold her breath.

    Hannah found herself leaning towards her sense of smell and tuning out the voices and sights in the room. She closed her eyes, trying to bring her focus back by listening to the voices.

    Beatrice cracked a smile. "That's kind of good."
