What is most embarrassing, is when a joke is cracked and it evades the audience entirely. This video, for example. That was a genuinely decent impersonation, but the audience could not appreciate it... *cricket*

A brawl had broken out within the confines of a mansion, as a tv played reruns of Gilligan's Island. I turned off the tv and, caught in the crossfire, sneaked out. They wanted me to take part in whatever it was they were so ardent about, but I did not care. The backyard led to the sea, stretching as far as the eye could see. There was no end in sight. There was a dock. A small whale, probably a dwarf sperm whale, was waiting at the end of the dock. I took one glance at her and suddenly realised that it was not her natural form; her mental capacity matched that of a human's. She looked up at me with a very human, watery eye. I thought hard, may I ride you?

I hoped for that thought to transcend all psychological boundaries, reaching out to her without the aid of a physical signal. It did, it worked. Via telepathy, she understood. And allowed me to mount her, a heavy weight upon metaphorical shoulders. I slid a hand onto her slippery ribcage, stroking gently as a sign of my appreciation. With that we followed the waves, rode out into infinity.

That is precisely the reason why I hate most anime, as most fan service requires the girls be abnormally silly. Otherwise it could not be pulled off, no ordinary girl could be subjected to the silliness that is those scenes. Ditzes are far from attractive, how is this 'fan service' again?

...What? Isn't it a bit late for a sequel? For how long has it been under development?

p.s. I do not see what the big deal is, the money-crazed vultures are nothing new. If the series ended for you at 3, then do not watch beyond it.

It is to make sure that the corpse stays just that, a corpse, casket closed and six feet safe under the ground...

This poses a most severe question, then: how many one-hit corpses are truly dead? Mister Jay has been hit twice, *weep* quick, to the mounds! We must dig up their mangled bodies, check pulses...

Gills alone do not amount to much, however coupled with everything else that would be enabled to me by the power of metamorphose... there are roundabout ways. The point conveyed thru those points was that various other powers could be attained via shapeshifting.

Taken quite literally, shapeshifting is almost cheap. Am I allowed to shift into a manta ray?

I see. You did not mention intelligence (wits) coming into play, though I suppose that was to be inferred as a relevant stat.

This is assuming that you are up against an opponent. I'm curious then, what you could or would use this power for in normal life?

What is your state, that of a normal? They could then use your power, but it would... cancel out. Rendering you both normals.

If you're so confident you can succeed on equal footing, I guess.

As a shapeshifter, I could shift into a bird and would (presumably) be able to speak to them. It trumps every other superpower, that I can think of...

But I regret mentioning shapeshifting, for now I have instilled it into others... would be preferable if posters answered unbiased.

    Superpowers

Doubtless such a thread has been made before, but: if you could have any (one) superpower, what would it be?

For me, shapeshifting. Includes the ability to

    a) grow wings (flight)
    b) grow gills (aquatic respiration)
    c) enhance muscle tone (strength)

Cheating or not? I wonder. I think not.
