I would assume it was just a glitch. It happens. It probably didn't help that you were bashing the password reset. You're logged in now so it isn't really a problem as far as I am concerned. Nobody else has had issues with the verification process before as far as I am aware but I could be wrong. At least its fixed for you now ^^
