Not very. He's definitely a bottom.
Do you mean in the way that Amazing Spider-Man wanted to use a more modern definition of the word "nerd?" If so, I would agree, but I don't think they're going to try a definition like that for "billionaire." Mostly because I read a while back about the plan for Lex's backstory (I can't 100% confirm if it'll be the final version since this was revealed right after Eisenberg got cast. It might change, it might've been wrong to begin with, I don't know). Pretty much, Lex will be man-made. http://www.latino-review.com/news/2014/02/exclusive-just-exactly-lex-luthor-batman-vs-superman If what the link said is true, I think it's most likely has changed by now or will before the movie comes out. However, I'm going to be hopeful and assume that they'll keep the idea of Lex working his way up from the streets in some way instead of a "new billionaire" persona.
Yes, it is? Shazam movie? Alright! Metal Man? Didn't expect that, but okay! Not set in the DCCU? Well, why not? I'm just being selfish, but still. I want my expanded universe so I can spend more money.
I don't know. I really think Eisenberg can pull it off, but it'll be a different personification of Lex that we're used to seeing. I'm more excited than wary to see him do it, but at the same time...still cautious. About Cyborg (in addition to Wonder Woman), I think DC is trying to pull a Marvel without pulling a Marvel. I've always heard that if DC does a movie for each hero and then a massive team-up title, specifically one where they're fighting an alien invasion (Darkseid), then it can be seen as trying to copy Marvel's formula. If they went the other way and created a Justice League movie first and then spin-off into individual movies, then would we care about the characters? Seeing Batman interact with the others without seeing his reasoning for having the cowl and the paranoia would just make him seem like...a dick. At least, that was a semi-prevalent consensus I noticed. I think DC is trying to do a Phase 1 type thing using only Superman. I mean, Superman is kind of the central hero of the DCU and, assuming Darkseid will be connected with him in some form or another, will be the opposing factor of the eventual Justice League villain so for them to use him and only him to create their universe, well I can see that happening. It's not copying Marvel so DC can avoid being accused of not having their own ideas (it's funny. I notice that DC and Marvel themselves aren't entirely against each other; it's the fans that pit them against each other) while at the same time not being accused of trying an extreme (Justice League first, then solo films). That's my theory anyway. I don't mind this AT ALL, but my problem is that it doesn't give any of the heroes enough screen time and it's going to be crammed and either be rushed or take too long. There's a chance I may be wrong about the characterization; I mean, Cyborg (in the DCnU anyway) was a football player on the way to a scholarship who didn't have his scientists' dad approval and when confronting him about it, got blown into by an interdimensional portal during the outbreak of aliens. To save him, his dad grafted new technology into him and Cyborg found himself fighting with Supes and Bats and the rest. I can see THAT playing out in Justice League while a football player with "Stone" on his jersey makes a cameo or has a short scene in Man of Steel 2 (CAN WE PLEASE STOP CALLING IT 'BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN?' I DON'T CARE HOW MANY OTHER HEROES ARE IN IT, IT'S CLARK'S FILM. AT LEAST PUT HIS NAME FIRST). As for the other characters, I'm not entirely sure how big Batman's role will be, but I'm pretty sure that they're going not going to throw Wonder Woman in full-on Amazon garb and all her God of War galore into the movie (PLEASE MAKE HER THE GOD OF WAR LIKE IN THE NEW 52. THAT SHOULD BE HER SET OF MOVIES). I'm sure Gal (I don't see the problem with her role. She's going to beef up some for the role, obviously. Though I don't think she has a body capable of gaining too much muscle) will have a few scenes, maybe as an ambassador or during the fight, maybe even extra-credits....but I doubt she'll be Wonder Woman in this film. If it was up to me, my set of films would be Superman, World's Finest, Trinity, Justice League for Phase 1 IF they're trying to stick solely to Superman films. My problem is whether or not DC should include Arrow in its DCU, but that's a thread for another day.
Knowing how horny everyone here is for each other, KHV is about to become the sequel to 2 Girls. 1 Cup.
The way I saw it, it was simply much more believable for the attack to be by Dr. Manhattan's hand than an alien especially considering that he was a huge factor in the nuclear arms race.
In and in~
Hm. .
I miss my rep ranking
Your username sounds like a title to a steampunk porn.
You know what? I DON'T THINK YOU EVER MADE ME A BIRTHDAY THREAD, AMAURY. How dare you.
Shrugging as if it was the only gesture his body knew, Sam started to turn. "Hell if I know. I don't speak teach," he said, adding a tone of disgust at the end. Sure, Sam never had much faith in his teachers and the rest of the staff, but the recent actions -specifically restraining him with sapphires- made his view of them...well, something more extreme than simply disagreeing with their attitude. 'Guess we'll finish this conversation another time,' he thought as he started to walk. "To the lidrory it is, then," he mockingly said. As he walked, he made eye contact with a boy who seemed to be watching them. "Well," he muttered, "seems like I have an admir-umph!" With a yelp, the A-class student walked into someone. "Sorry 'bout that-oh." He stopped, recognizing the long coat and white hair. 'Great, another troublemaker...'
Is he even still around?
I liked it. Could have used a little more synchronization with the beat of the music, but I'm far from an AMV expert.
The price of freedom may be high, but it's a price I'm willing to pay.
I don't know how big a thing that is in other places, but when we had it here, I don't think there were too many issues like that.
I like this. I think it'd be interesting to see what people have to say on the topics Nova mentioned. On top of that, maybe it'll inspire other threads. I always had an idea for "Novelless Chapters," a place where you can type a chapter of something and see how it stands on its own with no context whatsoever.
I'm planning on seeing this on opening night. My roommate's a huge Godzilla fan since it was something she's been obsessed with since childhood so I think I'll treat her to it. One thing I am excited for is to see Kick-Ass's and that other Olsen's chemistry on screen before Avengers 2 comes out~ (are they dating in the movie and then playing siblings in Avengers: Age of Ultron? That'd be weird from an audience's point of view)
This^ It would just make formatting look cleaner, in my opinion. Especially for those of us who use a lot of formatting for whatever reason.
Sure does~ Accepted!
