Death is a good motivator But motivation only get's one too far. At the end of the day all motivation and desire for anything will ultimately be shut down because nature decided to kill you. Since the dawn of time mankind has had to struggle with fighting against natures whims. We made the umbrella to protect from nature's rain We made the lightbulb to protect from nature's darkness We made the internet to overcome nature geographic limitations Nature has set and defined rules and it is through set and defined rules that people are limited. Once you go beyond these rules truly can you grasp at anything. Nature is our mother but like any child we must eventually break free from the control of our mother in order to acheive greater things.
Well that comes down to a personal thing. Hence the reason why overtime we've slowly upgraded into storing things into less physical things such as the internet. Why not? We live in a very chaotic world where death is an unpredictable inconvinence Potential scientist, scholars, authors, political leaders, etc are all taken away due to untimely death. Technological advancements not given enough life to bloom due to untimely death. The balance between life and death is heavily in death's favor, it takes away more then it gives.
Hmm? I'm not sure what you're getting at. I see death as a border no different then the sound barrier, it will eventually be overcomed and then we'll have new problems on the rise. Until then though we can atleast use death to our advantage(ie weeding people out)
Death is only natural because we allow it be natural. When we take control of nature we can decide what is and isn't natural and the idea that a 10 year old deserves to die because he can't fight off a disease would be obsolete. Testing does not mean it won't be open to the public. It means it's being tested FOR the public. Once again, speak for yourself. There's currently very little that could get in my way atleast for the next 6 years. I dunno, ask Russia. Personally I think that can just fix itself, people in Africa will eventually die off anyway.
Hey, it's still a step in the right direction, it's not perfect but it's definitely better then dieing at the age of 10 of some wacky ass disease. Also what makes you think it wouldn't be open to the public? Do you really think people would be alright with knowing that artifical bodies exist but not being avaliable to them? Speak for yourself In the next 19 years I could very well be a millionaire if I play my cards right. The over population thing is a problem and that's why we need to get to Mars already.
I highly doubt you would put onto a computer with open access to just anyone. And that's considering if you're stored onto a computer, nowadays things are stored onto the internet anyway just to prevent that from happening. As for the whole soul thing, there's no way to tell what happens as we cannot even perceive what a soul is let alone a consciousness. If we go by what the Buddhist(IE the people who probably have the closest thing to perceiving a soul) say then the soul itself is not exclusive to the body so a body swap should not effect the soul.
maybe. However countries(atleast here in Canada) identify it as "Human rights".
I've seen Ghost in the Shell and I'm saying how are you sure right now that you aren't in a computer progrom ala the Matrix? How do you know you aren't the side effects of some alien experimentation? Unless you show significant signs of being hacked then you have no reason to believe that you have been hacked other then "it's possible" Also that's the SCIENTIFIC definition of a human. Several countries don't follow a scientific definition. For the longest time females were not considered humans in Canada and America.
GOOD THING EVERYONE IN THERE KNOWS JAPANESE! That's Hellstar Remina No clue what I'm gonna do next. Maybe Gyo but who knows. Actually I have something in mind if it's not too NSFW for Kingdom hearts videos.
Only the insane have mental breakdowns about weather there's an afterlife or not. I doubt people would have mental breakdowns about if they are them or not. And given the fact that we human use such little amounts of our brain there's no way we could properly identify what our consciousness is in the first place Of course laws would have to be modified so that people would have different rights. And you're also forgetting exactly what each country considers a human.
