Once Upon a Time... There was a land far off, filled with adventure and enchantment. A place where the words "impossible" and "realistic" were rarely spoken. This land had many kingdoms, royals and creatures that filled the world with a sense of wonder. This place had no name, nor nation. It was simply a united world that several referred to as Gaia. Gaia flourished in it's magical world. While there were still feuds among races over grudges or territories, many had the opportunity to live their lives blissfully content in the beauty of this world. Of course, no land is exempt from the harsh truths that lie in it's underbelly. For the brightest lights, will always cast the longest shadow Just as the candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long. At one point in it's history, Gaia was faced against a dark sorcerer who used his powers to corrupt the innocent and infect the beautiful. He had no name, nor identity and was dubbed as "The Grimm" for bringing death wherever he went. He despised the light and the happiness of the world and only wanted chaos. So, a legion of powerful fairies, known as the Godmothers, banded together to fight off the mystic man, and defeat the evil that plagued them. The battle was long and harsh, but his mortal cast was finally slain, and the essence of his soul; sealed away in a chamber below the kingdom of RoseGuard. The Magic continued to flourish in Gaia and peace was restored. The people rejoiced, and the Fairy Age had never been brighter. All was right with the world, as they all lived Happily. Ever. - ... [Q&A] - How do I join? Heroes and Villains appear over time, and while not all can be claimed, the ones that can chosen will be revealed in the OOC thread. They may have some abilities and backstory already laid out, but what your character does is completely up to you. Twelve Years Later... "My oh my, a lot sure has happened these last twelve years. One minute, it's global peace, and the next, WHAM. You find yourself running from a wedge of ravenous, darkness infested swans! Oh how I'd love to tell you everything that's happened in the last dozen years, but you alas, I cannot. I'm not... exactly in the story yet. Stuck in a box actually! Travel the land for a decade or so and get crammed into a locked box by a wizard. No matter what I do in this crazy new world it all just goes to- AHEM! So uhh, as I was saying, I would love to give you some quick catch up, but that's more of a prologue than a story. No, A story needs to start on a high note to really grasp the reader's attention, and I've got a feeling that today's that day! You see, the high royal of RoseGuard; Queen Evelyn, is planning to get the rulers of all the other kingdoms together to finally deal with the Grimmlins. What are Grimmlins you say? What, have you been living under a rock or somethin'? Bet you can't even name all the kingdoms. Or tell me anything about the legend of the Fairy Crystals! Man, you're thick. *Sigh* I'm really sorry. I'm a traveller that goes from place to place, and being confined to a small space is not for me, no sir. You know what? Why don't we start you off with the Queen's daughter; Aurora. Mighty fine young lady. (At least that's what I've been told!) If I've learned anything in my years, it's that the excitement always happens with the young folk. But don't you worry! I'll join this tale soon enough. At least I hope so. I mean every story needs a narrator right? Ehehe... ... ... LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!"
Upon further inspection of the house, Hikaru was just trying to navigate a strategy on what to do next. His last course of action wasn't very popular, and he himself wasn't even all decided on the details he'd given. He took note of a small chair and bent his knees to sit down on the small stool when, but quickly jumped up at the sound of a creak. He knew the house belonged to some one smaller and didn't want to accidnelty break anything. He wanted the house to stay in perfect condition. He instead wondered around the house again, seeing how everyone split off and some were even looking through his belonging to get some clue as to where this mouse might be. He started back where the found the book case and found a small graffitid picture of three circles on the wall. The paint was still a bit wet as some of it was dripping down. "Hey guys!... I uhh, think I found something!" he called to the rest outside. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Max listneed intently and eyed the similar blades that the rest of Cailyn's familiar species had. "Maxxy!" Maxes eyebrows raised and grin reversed as he heard the befuddling and familiar voice called out. "Where are ya, bud?" He looked around to see if the person he seemed to fear was anywhere in sight. "Gee, we better go look for em if they are, Huh? Hehehe..." He was prepared to get everyone out of there as soon as he could in hopes that he wouldn't have to confront the voice calling out for him. "And say, we can probably talk to your friends too about those weird markings I've seen around town." (Small grafiti markings are to found around town. The ones you can find are two fencing swords crossed, Yen Sid's hat, a llama, and a sword in a stone)
Santa is coming to town.
You're a grown woman now. You should know that nothing's perfect.

The cover art feels more like a trap from the saw franchise. ... At least that's the impression I got. Don't know if it was the same for anyone else...
MISSION COMPLETE! Kaida leveled up! (20) - All Stats increased! - Learned Stopra! - Learned Second Chance! Cailyn leveled up (16) (17) Pete's large self was knocked down onto his bottom as he held his forehead in agony. "DO-ooooohh... my poor achin' head!!" Max caught up after circling the perimeter for any more weasel guards as he kicked up his skateboard. "Had enough? Or you thirsty for more?..." Pete turned angry as he gritted his teeth in a humiliating defeat by a bunch of teenagers. "Why you little... I'll be back with fifty- no- a hundred- No, no, no. TWO hundred guards to put you punk kids in your place!" Max picked the small outer ends of his ear with his pinky in a rude manner against the captain's babbling. "Uh-huh, well you know where to find us Captain." Near the small stubby legs of Pete, one of his guards was coming out of his dizzied state asking; "Ugghh... Did we win?" Unamused, he grabbed the weasel by the collar and dragged him along angrily, muttering intangible words as the weasel gasped for air. The rest of his troop came to and cowardly followed, hoping that they were done fighting and could go about their usual lazy duties. Max smirked as he turned to Cailyn and Kaida. "Big thanks to both you guys. The more guards that doorknob rounds up, the harder is to keep up y'know?... Anyway, here's a little something I thought you guys might want." Cailyn and Kaida learned Powerline! Gained the Knockout Smash keyblade!

Hurrah! I got so worried when you left the skypes. I'm still on there if you ever wat to chat or something.
Hikaru glanced at Yen Sid one last time, making sure he was the last once again before leaving. Merlin, the ducks, and the rest of the party had all made it through, but he stayed behind to reflect on their current situation. Central Haven had fallen, the Order spread out thin, and Kaida's fate was still unknown to him. The core things he wanted to protect were now in shambles and the thought of it all made him want to cry. Keep fighting, he told himself. But when would it end? Everyone else wanted to continue on, but Hikaru had his doubts if they could do it. Make it to the end and save all the worlds. How could he do that when he couldn't even save his home? As he looked one last time at the wizard, he stepped through the mirror with hopes that things wouldn't get worse. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minnie looked saddened for not being able to help them. "You all seem like such good people, and believe me, if I knew what book you were searching for, I would gladly help. But alas, there isn't much I know about it. I'm ever so sorry. Perhaps you can check the town library? Though Mickey was never much of a reader." She giggled at the thought of him trying to read a picture-less book with great difficulty. "We'll check it out!" Huey volunteered, springing forward. "Yeah, Junior Woodchucks are great at finding stuff!" Louie added. Dewey inhaled deeply, getting a fresh whiff of the air. "Ahh, you never forget that smell of home!" Originating from Disney Town, they felt it best to search the massive workplace, while the rest of the keybladers could go off on their own to search the town. Minnie looked shocked at seeing the three ducks. "Oh? I didn't expect you three to be back so soon? And in such fancy new clothes too!" "Back from where?" Dewey asked suspiciously. He slightly panicked from the thought of running into past versions of themselves. "Well, last I heard they were going to spend their summer with their Uncle Scrooge, exploring new worlds." "Oh yeahhhh. That was a really fun summer- ow!" Louie was recalling that summer, when Huey slapped him in the head for not acting like it was the present instead of the past. "Is what we'll say when it's over hehe," Dewey saved. "We just came back to get a few extra things for the trip. But uhh... we'll be happy to check the library on our way." "And get other supplies that we need. You know for our trip."" Louie added. "Hey wait a minute... this summer is when we made the thing!" "The thing?.... Oh yeah the thing!" Huey suddenly recalled. "So yeah, we'll just check on that, and leave this stuff to you guys!" Huey quickly ran with his brothers to find the belongings they had in mind. "Such odd boys," Minnie chuckled. "Everything's all set Princess Minnie. Oh- I didn't know you had company." A dark-furred anthropomorphic horse in farmer's overalls came strutting along, tipping his small hat to the royal princess. "But as you requested, I came and found you as soon as I was done setting up the fruitball court ma'am!" "Thank you Horace. You know, for the longest time I thought you'd moved away from the Kingdom. I never saw you around town, but when I did, I just knew you were the right person for the job. I don' know how we could have done this year's festival without you." "Aww, shucks. Was nothing miss princess. I'm just trying to do my part for the community." He looked sideways at the sight of keyblades, but dismissed it as he continued to speak. "Y'all should come see it when all the games are up and running. It's a real hoot and a half!" He turned back to the princess. "Speaking of your royal highness, Daisy needs to have a word with you about the decorations." "Well, that's my queue I suppose. I would love to have learned all of your names, but a princess' work is never done," she chuckled. "You are more than welcome to explore, and do tell me if you find what you're looking for. Especially Mickey!" Horace waved good bye as he escorted Minnie back to the Main Plaza. "And just between us, try and stay clear of the captain of the guard. That bully doesn't take well to outsiders!" As the two left, the group was confronted on where to go from here. Hikaru, who exited the house at the time of the ducks' departure, came to the center and tried to be strong for the rest of his comrades. "Well, way I see it we have two options. One; search the town for Mickey and the book. Two; look somewhere else." Merlin looked estranged at him. "I'm afraid I don't understand my boy. The mouse clearly came into this world." "That's just it. We don't know if the mickey comes from this world. It could have been a past or future incarnation that found a way around the lockdown with mirrors. Nobody's seen him for weeks, but we saw him only moments ago. I'm just saying it's not impossible." His thought process was odd, but he was hoping maybe some one would catch on. "Are you trying to say that they key to both the mouse AND the book lies somewhere in his timeline?" "Exactly!" Hikaru felt relieved he was at least somewhat understood. "Only problem is I wouldn't know where to start. "That, my lad, is where having a time traveling wizard comes in handy. Your fancy science may be limiting my magic, but I can still open up windows of time for a duration. Long enough to get the answers you seek at least. And by calculating your group, possible outcomes, key points in time, the group of travelers, time theory, and any magnanimous side effects, I would say I can unlock at least oh... three doors. And as far as your time limit, I would give it an hour at best." It wasn't much, but searching a town would be just as time consuming. "Well search the town or search through time?" he asked the keyblade wielders.
Hey Chie! You may not recall who I am, but you did very lovely artwork for me before you ghosted. Welcome back if you're here to stay, and enjoy...
Just an example to why some people may need to take a leave. Not the absolute reason. Just a reason. They were all loyal, hard working staff members, and I hope they return in the future.
Every few moons, a horde of heartless threaten our world. By sacrificing their staffhood, former staff are able to gain the power to push them back into darkness. Not because of life or disinterest. Because of the heartless thing. Way more sense.

Never read it. I hear mixed thing about it though. What I actually really just want to see, is the Skrulls coming to light. Just testing who they can and can't trust is always a good way to draw people into the tense story.
Looking forward to all these, but the Civil War storyline is definitely one of the arcs I wanted to see make it to the big screen. A shame that Marvel doesn't own all it's properties, because I would love to see them tackle House of M or Daredevil's Born Again. I hope to see something like the Annihilation storyline come to light.
15 other members nominated for the same category? How can I lose?!
The one where everyone died. Though not as bad as that one guy who said "Macbeth" before the performers went on stage.
Did my client hack the site? Yes. Did they do so intentionally and of sound mind? Yes. Did they threaten to do it again. Of course. BUT! I think we are all forgetting one very important piece of evidence that clears my client of all charges. And that's how Kingdom Hearts IS Light. Now I think that is more than enough to warrant his forgiveness.
And just in time for the seasonal Top 5. Finding great use of the Halloweentown ones.
